I usually see Jenny for dip manicures. I think she is a sweetheart, and a skilled aesthetician. She tends to be quick but quite proficient- which works for me. I also have a lot of allergies and Jenny is always cautious and careful to accommodate my needs. Today, Jenny was out and I had a wonderful pedi/ gel mani with Kathy. Kathy truly gave the BEST PEDICURE I've had in a long time with a fabulous massage! She is also very nice and wants to practice her english :). I will go back to her for my Pedis. Annie is terrific too. I have seen her many times as well. The salon is no frills, located in an older building in the the old Bertucci's plaza off Highland Ave, but the women who work there are respectful, friendly and tend to be less chatty with each than most salons and this makes the experience, calmer and nicer for the customers. They made me pay $88 for a freaking mani pedi gel, when they said $45 earlier that day when I called!? That's double the price!! Not okay.. Plus, the attitude and energy from the people working is terrible... And everything they do is rushed for some reason. So it doesn't feel relaxing what so ever. Don't come here. I've been going to this nail salon since I was a little kid with my mom. Not only is the entire place respectful, but they really try to make everyone happy. I typically see Sarah for my pedicures and she's very gentle and knows exactly what to do because I have sensitivity. Jenny is SO GOOD at dip nails. She's the only person I can find to do ombré nails for me. I was previously at school in Connecticut and so many people asked me where they can go to get them and how they never can find anyone able to do ombré. All I can say is the bad reviews that are below I just don't understand. I get it.. stuff happens we might not all have the best experience but the staff is very understanding and if you ask for something, they typically do it for you. OH ALSO! I have gotten my lashes done here before and again.. never had such nice lashes. Truly recommend coming here. read more

Rude, I made an appointment for three and to end at four but they didn't start until three forty five and end at 5ish I got acrylics with the dip powder and not only did I have to pay extra for a different shape either coffin or square I asked for coffin, but when the lady that was doing my nails messed up she seemed very mad at me and mumbled god in a rude way, the acrylic and my nail are not even you can see the line between them, it looks very weird. Not only that but when I sat down the lady was talking with other person and chuckling. I ended up paying $50 dollars for something I didn't like, and they don't list their prices on their website! read more

Jenny, Lee and Quinn are great. My daughter and I and at least 3 of my Needham Mom friends have been going there for YEARS. Jenny does a perfect wax every time. Does my skin like it all the time? No, but her work is perfect and I'm so picky about my eyebrows. Lee will give you the best knee down massage you could ask for. Everyone does perfect polish. I converted to gels years ago and it's always great. It's easy to write a bad review because you want to vent. And sometimes any experience can be less than you expected, anywhere. Yes, they speak very rapid Vietnamese to each other, and they do try to sell you extra services, but so does every place and they are SO polite and nice, saying no is never an issue. I've been going here for about 3-4 years now. I've had my nails done by Lee first, then Quinn but have had other techs including the owner, Jenny. First off, I have to say I'm extremely picky with my nails. They have to paint it right and cut all the cuticles right. They have never disappointed me when it comes to thoroughness. Never have any of the techs rush through my mani & pedi just to get to the next customers, which most salons usually do. They actually just redecorate the salon and it is very clean & pretty. I have to say after a long day at work, it is very nice and relaxing sitting in the massage chair, listening to yoga music while getting your feet massaged. I'm not sure what the other two reviewers are talking about. Maybe they didn't listen to the tech's question? How do they just grab your hand for a paraffin treatment without your consent? lol wouldn't you think to say uhhh, no I didn't ask for this? They have never forcefully up sell me. Yes, they've asked me if I like to get the extras here and there in the past but if I say no, they said ok and move on. VERY VERY accommodating. I've never had to make an appointment to come here because my work schedule is so crazy so I never know when I'll have time to come in but every time I've called in last minute to see if they can take me, it's ALWAYS a yes. PLUS they open on Sundays!!! Overall, this is an excellent place to get your mani/pedi. Price is very reasonable and I would, and have, recommend this salon to anyone. read more

This place is terrible. I feel like the nail techs are always talking about you. They do a real crappy job. I have fake nails and i got them done. I left and the tips were like jaggers. They do a half assed job. Also they are so pushy about adding stuff on. My friend was with me and they somehow got her to get a paraffin treatment. She didn't say yes to it. read more

Watch what you say yes to!!!! Somehow I ended up paying more for a "spa pedicure" when I only asked for a regular old pedicure. Another woman in the salon had an argument with the nail tech because they did the same thing to her!! They constantly try to up-sell and sometimes you don't even realize what you've said yes to. I usually go to Bebe spa in Newton center, but my daughter has acrylic nails and she wanted us go together, so I ended up going with her to Needham Nails. They did OK job, not thrilled about whole experience and results. They constantly speak Chinese (?) and usually I'm not concerned, but this time I brought my tools because it was new place to me and I didn't know it they properly sanitize equipment and it looks like they don't. When she saw my cuticle scissors she called tech next to her in Chinese (?) showed it to her and they started laughing! I thought that was rude. My mani pedi looked OK, however my daughter's were not, but she was dismissed before she could point out. We are not going there again. read more

I went to this nail salon on a whim with my friend to get a gel manicure and pedicure and when I walked in I got a pleasant vibe. However as soon as I sat down for my pedicure, the nail tech started being rude with snappy comments. I dismissed it hoping it was just a one time occurrence but it only got worse from there. When I began getting my manicure I was conflicted on the colors to get. In response to my question of whether the color looked good she replied: "Just pick a color. If you want pink, get pink. If you want blue, get blue. Just pick a color!" I instantly clammed up. When it came to painting my nails I showed her the number of which gel I wanted and she pulled the right number but the completely wrong color. I politely told her that the color she pulled wasn't the color on the wheel and she proceeded to argue and yell at me, causing a scene. She condescendingly told me that the number on the bottle was the number that matched the wheel, and after a few minutes of arguing she told me to go pick a color and I brought back the correct color (with the same number). Finally, as I went to pay, I was told to tip in cash. I gave the nail tech a $20 hoping to get change and she actually told me what amount I was tipping her and she just gave me back a $10, keeping $10 for herself. I was not intending to give her that big of a tip but I basically didn't have a choice. She proceeded to go through my wallet, trying to put my credit card away for me and she then shoved a crumpled receipt into a pocket in my wallet. I then left the salon angrily and have been ticked off since. I would like to say that my manicure and pedicure did turn out well, however the service is just as important as the actual job. The service at this salon is totally below par and because of this experience, I will probably never go back. read more

This place is awesome! It made me sad to read so many negative reviews. I have been going here for almost five years and I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience. Many of my friends go here as well over the other salons in Needham. No matter how busy they are they will always try to accommodate you and I have never waited more than fifteen minutes. All of the technicians are incredibly nice. At other salons in the area I get the feeling that the techs are talking about the customers but here its clear they are not. They make a point to talk to you and ask you questions rather than ignoring you which is also something that has happened to me at other salons nearby. I have even seen the techs be patient and polite with the MOST rude and needy customers - there are many customers like this is Needham unfortunately - and I have never seen the techs be mean to anyone. I get the sense that they truly value their customers here. As for attempted up selling, they do offer or ask if you would like more pricey procedures, however I usually decline and have never had anything forced on me. Maybe its because I am a regular and they know my face but I have never been disappointed with the service here or the mani / pedi / wax I have received. read more

Incredibly rude and unprofessional! Went a number of times out of convenience, but everyone is just so disinterested, bothered and rude when a client comes in. The only exception is Lee, who is very nice but not always there. Everyone else makes me feel like I am majorly inconveniencing them, and I ask for absolutely nothing out of the ordinary! They also do not adhere to their posted hours, and arrive whenever they feel like it, even if it is over an hour after the time they say they open. The final straw was when I brought my 6 year old in for a manicure for a special treat, and they were gathered around blatantly laughing and making fun of her in their language. She noticed and asked me why they were laughing at her, and they rolled their eyes! Seriously, never again!!!!!! read more

I do not recommend this place. I arrived to find the nail techs in the back in deep conversation in their native language. They saw me walk in and completely ignored me. After choosing a color and standing there looking at them for a few minutes I finally exclaimed, 'are you interested in doing my nails or should I go somewhere else', at which point one of them flew into a rage and started yelling at me at the top of lungs that they were waiting for me to choose a color even though I had done so several prior. They do a beautiful job with manicures - daughter often gets "extras" like little flowers that are so lovely! I have no idea what these people are talking about where they try to "upsell" you. I've been going to Needham Nails for some time now. I like being able to simply walk in and get a quick eye brow wax or mani/pedi. I usually don't have to wait very long. It's not the most luxurious of nail salons (although they recently renovated and it looks great), but for the price, you really can't beat it. The manicures are $12 and the pedicures are approx $22-24. They will ask you if you want spa treatment when doing pedis but if you don't want to spend the $10, just say no. They do a decent job for the price. My daughter loves their nail art. On the flip side, I wish their gel nails lasted longer, that they didn't try and sell you more than you ask for and that they spoke more English (not that I have anything against foreign languages, but it makes you wonder if they are talking about you!). All in all though, a good place if you want reasonably priced. read more
