    Seafood Sautee
    Chelsea G.

This is our favorite restaurant in Worcester. There's ample comfortable seating, and I love the general vibe of the inside of the restaurant. We've always had really pleasant waitstaff each time too. Now that we live farther away we will struggle to find a dish that measures up to the seafood sautee. We couldn't help but order that dish almost every time we visited, it's so good. The apps are great too, my favorite is the goat cheese crostini -- the flavor combinations were so unique and delicious. My fiancé always enjoyed the oysters. Their bisque soup specials are great too, super creamy and flavorful. The cocktails had wonderful flavor, and our waiters always gave solid advice on what white wines would pair well with our seafood orders. Anytime we are back in the area we will have to prioritize a stop at The Sole, I miss that sautee!

My sister eats here often and I joined her for a full evening ing feast. The clam chowder has actual chopped up clams and the salad is made with fresh greens and a vinaigrette that was a little too sweet for me, but I don't eat much sugar. My flourless chocolate cake was another quite sweet enough but rich and delicious. Best seafood that I have had in years-- soft, perfectly cooked with an interesting Newburgh sauce. Our waiters were friendly and attentive. The decor is 1920s chop house which was fun I. It's own right but don't sit in the Middle of the room if you are sharing top secrets with your fellow diner.

We went to a restaurant to celebrate my birthday." We ordered seafood sautéed dish. It was really good then sweet thing chocolate cake with writing birthday celebration. I forgot the waitress, she was nice and polite. I love this place, The atmosphere was sophisticated, with elegant decor that made for a memorable, intimate evening".

Worcester Restaurant Week kicked off Monday with amazing options, and we chose The Sole Proprietor. As early diners, we arrived just before 4 pm and enjoyed both lunch and dinner menus, plus dinner specials. I had Nova Scotia oysters, and we shared firecracker sushi. My dish was the salmon rangoon with seared salmon, crab rangoon filling, and spicy duck sauce over jasmine rice and asparagus, all for $19.99. He opted for the $29.25 restaurant week special, featuring tuna poke, clam chowder, and a Mediterranean mixed grill with swordfish, tuna, and shrimp. Our waitresses, Katerina and Crista, provided excellent service, making the experience truly satisfying.

The best seafood restaurant in and around Worcester! This is our favorite place and have celebrated multiple birthdays here. It's very nicely decorated on the inside and the staff has always been so friendly. It gets busy so I recommend a reservation! The food is also phenomenal.

"When in Rome," is what I saw on a review before coming here, and I followed suit. Visiting the East Coast, you gotta get some oysters and lobster. This is my friend's favorite local seafood place and it did not disappoint! Definitely had to make a reservation for 8pm on a Saturday and had to park on the street because the lot was full at peak hour. Depending where they seat you, the ambiance changes from feeling for formal in the back dining room, to more casual by the bar. The two servers we had were appropriately attentive. We started off with oysters and the octopus (with chorizo, red chiles, and potato) appetizer. The octopus was kinda flavorless and chicken-y, good, but not worth ordering again. The oysters were discounted for oysterfest, which was awesome, and the champagne mignonette and horseradish toppings were delicious! I know my focus should be on the seafood, but I'd like to mention that the side salads were really nice. When they brought it out, I thought it was plain vegetables, but the dressing was so well balanced and lightly sweet. The clam chowder was good, and the lobster for me was a star, very nice. The swordfish special was also really good.

Favorite appetizer: deep fried baby octopus! (There's literally a whole baby octopus in there. Super worth it, trust me! I've tried the fire roll and while it's good, it's a bit too dense for me, I'm unable to taste any other ingredients other than rice and the fried portion. I also had the deep fried crab appetizer and it was pretty good, but I wouldn't get it again. Nothing negative to say about service, great as always!

Once they announce it, you need to call immediately or get shut out. My observation about the place itself. The U shaped bar is gigantic for the space. It's a bar-bar too not like a sushi counter. This seems to draw a crowd of local drinkers rather than the normal sushi crowd. You feel like you walked into a sports bar. The place was really loud and it was hard to hear the chef explaining everything. Once seated... it's the chefs carving the tuna off to the side. There were 2 bar tenders making drinks and like 3 chefs cutting tuna.... other than that, no waitstaff. Which is really odd. You have to grab the manager who was running around helping to get your Wasabi refilled. Not to mention they gave zero place settings for about 8 of us, until we asked. The bar tenders seemed to pass over my empty drink until I asked for a refill too. It's a more chaotic event than I would have liked for $120 per person. It also takes time to carve the tuna so if you arrive hungry be prepared to not get your first tiny bite until 45 minutes after the start. The star was Chef Timmy. Honestly he was awesome. The tuna.... so good. You end to with only 3 pieces of Nigiri which was a little disappointing but the sashimi part was unlimited. Of course you have to take your plate up and ask for some. They only put about 6 small pieces of the various cuts per trip. I think I went up 5 times for sashimi alone. The tuna handrolls you can make yourself or ask the chef nicely. Those were really good. Probably best I ever had because it's so fresh. There is a limited amount of the highly prized (and highly priced) Kamatoro, but you can experience it here as it's included in the experience. That's a hard cut to find. The finale was a shot of tuna spinal fluid. My first time with that but it's not bad. You're probably looking at $150 per person unless you order alcohol than it's alot more. The fresh cut tuna is amazing. I'm glad I did it. The chaos and the setting made it less than ideal. I don't think I would go again to this location for it. One and done. It's a bit weird that you're paying $120 for this and you're still intermingled with local patrons just there to grab some beers after work and watch the game. Because of the massive bar it is impossible to create a space secluded to do it. They also should have a roaming waiter at least taking care of the 30 people who came for this experience.

Sawa had a decent Yelp rating (and was essentially the only place we could walk to), so we decided to give it a try. It has a large bar, traditional table seating and Hibachi steakhouse style seating, it's a fairly large place. It also projects a traditional Japanese Steakhouse vibe. Since we were dining at an off time, there was only one other patron in view. They have an expansive Asian menu and we ordered: Salmon Dinner - 5pcs of salmon sushi & spicy salmon roll (with salad) Asian Fried Rice with Chicken Scallion Pancake Gyoza -Japanese pan fried pork dumpling 2 Green Tea Total with Tip: $78 How expansive is the menu? If you search for Salmon on their online menu, you get 47 hits! Service was good, then again we were essentially on our own. The Salmon was good, not the best I've ever had, but tasty. The Fried Rice was also tasty, but very salty. The Scallion Pancakes were crispy and nicely cooked, we really liked these. And the Gyoza was very tasty, but should have been crisper. Overall, a very enjoyable "Linner" and a 4-star dining experience. I would return here if in the area.

Low lighting inside but it fit the vibe well. I got the Hibachi Lunch w/Chicken. Presentation was good and the chicken was well cooked.
