Upon walking in to the office, I was welcomed by a nice staff person who instructed me to fill out some paperwork. I was then taken to a room for the consultation. Dr. Yu advised to have a root canal based on his evaluation. I was then moved to another room for the actual procedure after having anesthesia injections into my mouth. After some prep work done by his very comforting staff, it was time for the games to begin! I appreciated how his staff guided me through the prep work and explained what they were doing. It honestly feels really weird to have your mouth wide open while having strange objects being placed inside. During the procedure, I could see they were passing instruments back/forth. There were weird sounds, noises and smells. I never felt uncomfortable as they always checked in to see if I was doing OK. Before I knew it, the procedure was over and Dr. Yu went over recovery expectations and the like. Overall, it was a very efficient and comfortable process. Hopefully I won't need to return anytime soon but it's nice to know that this office is available in the local area.

The whole experience was just really wonderful. Easy to book an appointment, friendly staff, and parking is just great. Dr. Yu is amazing and the reviews do him justice. He answered all my questions and I just felt so much peace of mind getting his professional opinion on a root canal. The procedure itself was painless and I can tell you I was nervous about the whole experience. They make you feel invited and welcomed at this office so if you need any root canal consultation please see Dr. John Yu.

The procedure was smooth and much faster than I expected--done in under an hour--and Dr. Safa made sure I was comfortable the entire time. He explained everything clearly, which really helped ease my nerves. What really stood out was his attention to detail. He even caught an issue with an older root canal from years ago that I had no idea about, which could have turned into a bigger problem down the road. Overall, I'm very grateful for the care I received. If you're dealing with dental pain or need specialized treatment, I highly recommend Dr. Safa.

My dentist recommended going to get consultation at Pasadena Endodontix. I read some negative reviews on Yelp and Google but my experience with Dr. Safa was nothing but professionalism and expert care and treatment. I would give more stars if Yelp allowed it. I only felt a tiny bit of discomfort at the initial injection but after that, no pain since. I've had other root canals at other dentist offices a long time ago and they took over an hour to finish and it was painful. I would recommend my family and friends to see Dr. Safa if they need an Endodontist. I hope I don't need another root canal, but if I do, I'm happy to come back here. Is it a bit pricey? Yes, but in my humble opinion, you're paying for expertise and quality care. My tooth is pain free, my blister is gone, and I can't believe I tolerated the discomfort and occasional pain related to the condition of my tooth for as long as I did before Dr. Safa treated it. The office staff and assistants are also top notch and professional. Thank you Pasadena Endodontix!

My root canal went smooth and painless. Thank goodness! Dr. Oo did a perfect job. Yes, the pain killer injections in the beginning was a bit painful, but very minimal. The most painful of the three injections was probably my cheeks area. But that was it. I waited approximately twenty minutes after the shots. I was admiring the mountain views from the room's window, I walked around outside the office (around the medical building) to ease myself before the procedure, and yes my heartbeat was still missing a beat. Anyhow, the root canal lasted about an hour and forty minutes. Dr. Oo did an awesome job. She was very hygienic, made sure my mouth was covered with a medical paper towel, except for a hole to work with, and she and her assistant was also properly geared in scrubs and masks to prevent bacterial infections. Dr. Oo us very professional. Kept checking on me to make sure I was fine. She was telling me about the different processes while working in my mouth for the most part to keep me informed. I basically did not feel any pain during the procedure. And the outcome along with the recovery period was to the point. I was also prescribed antibiotics just in case. OUTRIGHT INSURANCE FRAUD!!!!…read more At the first appointment of the year back in like 2023, the office staff told me the out of pocket charge would be unusually high. Like a dumbass, I agreed to go on back because they were calling my name. Afterwards I was charged well over $100 for a simple periodontist visit. When I called back for details, they explained the charge was for the negotiated rate PLUS the entire yearly deductible. I went round and round with the office manager telling her that's not how deductibles work. I finally got her and the insurance agent on the phone, who confirmed that the deductible is ONLY about who pays what portion of the negotiated rate. It should NEVER be an additional charge. The office manager finally agreed to write off the extra, as if she was doing me a favor. I later called the insurance company, and they confirmed this is insurance fraud. I put in an official complaint, as the office manager told me while we were arguing that "this is the way it's been for the entire twenty years I've been working here." That implies she pulls this BS with every client, or at least those dumb enough to fall for it. After looking back over my bills, I also realized that almost every time I'd gone in, they later sent me a bill for $80 without explanation. Again, like a dumbass, I trusted them and just paid it. I've held off on writing this review for various reasons. But it's long overdue.

Dr Chang was incredibly talented and succeeded far beyond my expectations in meeting these two daunting challenges. I cannot begin to express my gratitude. She has great staff as well and a beautiful office overlooking a street of palm trees. But most important was her skill, her experience, and her positive attitude. She helped me believe I had a chance of eliminating my pain and having my teeth restored to health. Dr Chang was a pleasure to work with, very upbeat and willing to go the extra mile. On Thursday, 10/29, my regular dentist took regular full-month x-rays. It was determined that my tooth that had been giving me issues had a dying root. So he referred me to Dr. Thomas. I called when I got the referral from the car. I was in tears because I was so scared as my last root canal was a horror story. From the start, I could tell that this was going to be a different experience. Melissa calmed me down immediately and was able to get me a consultation appointment on Monday, 11/3. Fast forward to the appointment on Monday. The office had it's own parking lot in front which is awesome. The office looked and smelled clean like antiseptic and alcohol which one wants in a dentist. After some additional x-rays, Dr. Thomas came into examine my tooth. He was concerned that two teeth seemed to be infected so he performed sensory test to ensure tha the correct tooth was being treated. Yep, it was the expected tooth. Since Dr. Thomas had the available time, he was able to perform the root canal immediately after a CAT scan of my mouth. I loved this as I had so much less anxiety! I told him about my needle phobia and he was patient and easy while giving the anesthesia. He explained everything that was going on in my mouth, gave my mouth frequent rests from being open, used a dental dam to protect the tooth from saliva infection, and was just overall kind and gentle. Dr. Thomas only had me take OTC meds for pain and hot/cold compresses. He also did not prescribe any antibiotics as he wanted my immune system to try and resolve it first. I like this approach. If needed, antibiotics will be prescribed at the follow-up appointment. The office called to check on me this morning and made sure that I was taking the OTC meds and doing the compresses. Overall, I would recommend this dentist and office to anyone who needs a root canal. But, most especially for someone like me who is anxious and nervous at the dentist. They're professional and good at their jobs but warm and hilarious as well. My treatment plan was estimated to go on for about a year but after just four months, Dr. Lee changed my entire look using Invisalign. I was blown away. I was originally turned down by one of those online teledentistry companies that I saw an ad for on Instagram. The polite rejection basically translated to "Your teeth are too messed up for our basic remote treatment, so seek out an actual orthodontist." [Waaahhh-- insert crying face emoji here!] After getting a consultation with Dr. Lee, I understood why. I had a lot of overcrowding that needed physical treatment, such as teeth slimming which obviously cannot be handled by a company that just sends you twenty trays, waves you a proverbial goodbye and expects to handle the rest of your treatment on your own. Kinda scary, especially for the cost they're charging you. If you choose to extend your treatment because you're unsatisfied with the results, these companies charge an additional $200+ every time you want to another round of trays. If anything goes wrong, there is no doctor for you to talk to, even for simple questions regarding any discomfort. Getting turned away was a blessing. Anytime I have a concern, I never feel rushed. My questions are thoroughly addressed and I understand everything that is happening with my teeth. Dr. Lee is not the extreme, upselling type. He was conservative with my plan and kept telling me that my teeth were nice enough when I was pushing for more treatment. I happily look at my teeth every day. Whether it's for themselves or their children, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Lee to everyone who is looking for gentle but beautiful dental work.
