My daughter started orthodontic treatment with Vivian Lee Orthodontics about four to five years ago. Before choosing this office, we consulted with several orthodontists. What convinced us to come here was the treatment plan they presented. We were told that their approach had a very good chance of improving my daughter's lower jaw position through counterclockwise rotation. I specifically asked how likely this outcome was, and was told the probability was quite high. Based on that recommendation, we chose this office even though the total treatment cost was about $2,000 more than other orthodontists we had consulted. Unfortunately, toward the later stage of treatment, we were told that the expected jaw correction could not be achieved. When I asked what could be done about my daughter's lower jaw, I was told that surgery would essentially be the only option in the future. We had made it very clear from the beginning that we strongly wanted to avoid surgery, so this was extremely disappointing, especially after several years of treatment based on the expectations originally presented to us. Since the orthodontic treatment was already near completion, we had little choice but to accept the result. We were then told that treatment was finished and were asked to sign the treatment completion paperwork. Less than a year later, my daughter's lower teeth and dental arch began shifting significantly. We contacted the office again because we wanted to see whether her lower teeth could be corrected. I explained that during that year she had not worn her retainer 24 hours a day as consistently as she should have. We were told they would review her case and contact us within three or four days with possible treatment options. I waited nearly a month and never received any follow-up call or message. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience. My biggest concerns are the large difference between the expectations presented at the beginning of treatment and the final result, as well as the lack of follow-up when we later asked for help. I'm sharing our experience so other parents can take it into consideration and ask very detailed questions before choosing this orthodontic office. read more

If youre looking to get invisalign for corrective orthodontics, I'd start here! Of the several orthodontists that I sought for consultation, most wouldn't even treat my cross-bite. Those that did would only do so with metal wired brackets and extractions. Dr. Lee was the only one offered treatment with Invisalign AND no extractions! The treatment was well-planned, well-documented, and well-executed. Long after my teeth were straightened, Dr. Lee and her office continued to worked patiently with me to make final adjustments until I was completely satisfied with my bite. I used to feel constantly annoyed whenever my teeth would come in contact, but Dr. Lee has given me lasting relief. The doctor and her technicians are wonderful, courteous, and very professional. They have state of the art technologies here for taking x-rays and 3D images or retainers. This review is long overdue, but I wanted to do it justice with all the details, so bear with me! Dr. Lee is an incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and dedicated orthodontist. I had my first free consultation back in the summer of 2020, during the height of COVID. From the start, I felt completely safe because the office was spotless, and they were diligent in following all health protocols. The consultation itself was super detailed--it included an X-ray and 3D scan, all for free! Dr. Lee walked me through what would be needed to address my concerns and gave me a transparent price estimate. There was no pressure to sign on or commit right away, which I appreciated since orthodontic work is such a big investment. I ultimately chose her because I had a good feeling: the office was clean, her staff was kind, the equipment was state-of-the-art, and of course, she was clearly very smart and capable. My case wasn't easy either--I needed both upper and lower jaw surgery. This meant Dr. Lee had to coordinate the timing with my health insurance and my oral surgeon. She communicated directly with my surgeon, and her emails were always professional, thorough, and timely. Unfortunately, after my surgery, my bite was still far from where it needed to be due to the nature of the procedure, so Dr. Lee carefully adjusted the treatment plan to address the issue. I had to get two teeth removed (from my general dentist), and she came up with a completely new approach. She was incredibly accommodating, and the pricing for the additional, unexpected treatment was very reasonable. Over the course of my treatment, Dr. Lee helped me with so much: braces, jaw surgery preparations, temporary anchorage devices (TADs), Invisalign, and even laser gum treatment. When I decided to switch to Invisalign before my wedding, Dr. Lee made the transition seamless, and again, her pricing was more than fair. She truly worked tirelessly to get my smile to where I wanted it to be. To put it into perspective, this was my third time undergoing orthodontic treatment (the first two with a different doctor), and she made sure this time was my last. I couldn't be happier with the results! To show how much I trust her, I even sent my grandma to Dr. Lee for Invisalign, and my grandma now wonders why she didn't go sooner. Beyond her technical expertise, Dr. Lee and her team are some of the most friendly, responsive, and accommodating health care staff I've ever worked with. Whether by email, phone, or text, they were always easy to reach. Dr. Lee also has an impressive community focus--for instance, she is helping clients who lost their retainers or aligners during this current 2025 wildfire. Yes, my case took 4 years, but that's because of the complexity and the switch to Invisalign. Just a heads-up, I did have teeth bonding and 4 crowns on my back teeth, I had my front four top teeth bonded primarily to even out their lengths and address some uneven areas that couldn't be corrected through orthodontic work alone. The crowns were functional, as they were necessary to repair the wear and tear on my pre-molars from all those years of an unaligned bite. We've been going to this office for about 10 months now. The doctor is great and we like the result so far. However, the doctor is so busy. There is always a long wait for the doctor. Our appointment was at 4pm but the doctor didn't get to us until 4:45pm. That said, the support staff and receptionists have been very nice and courteous. This is a long overdue review that I should've written a long time ago. I am grateful for Dr. Lee because she made me love my smile. Her team is highly professional, friendly, and fun. I'm not sure why some people said her appointments take a long time. When I did my treatments, it would usually take less than 5 minutes to get called. Perhaps, some people came when one of the staff was calling off due to an emergency (which had happened to me but only once). The office is extremely clean, and it smells pleasant. Speaking of the treatment itself, there was a time when my teeth were very stubborn, and they did not respond to the aligners as expected. Thankfully, Dr. Lee was prepared for the unexpected, and she made adjustments on the spot by modifying my aligners. I am loving my smile now, and I think it is worth every penny. Both my children have been in orthodontic care here since last year. My oldest had just Invisalign, followed by retainer. Her overbite was severe and at risk for tooth injury. My youngest has a palate expander, Invisalign, and braces. She had severe overcrowding. Dr. Lee has been very knowledgeable about their development and collaborative with every choice, as we've had to change plans according to teeth growth that isn't in our control. We did not go with her because she is in the Arcadia area, but my impression is that you will get great results. Only drawback is she is not in network for dental plans. One of the cleanest, well organized, and state of the art dental practices I've seen in my life. We started out with an initial consult for my kid and they gave her the full round of imagery to make sure they had the proper information for a fully detailed consultation and program. This included a myrian of photos, xrays, as well as crazy high tech 3dimensional scans. These were all ready to review during our initial consult! None of the other ortho offices we visited did anything except take photos. Based off this info, the Dr. Lee and her staff were able to give us a comprehensive and detailed plan for my child's teeth and orthodontal journey. Dr. Lee and her staff are friendly and professional, especially Austin and the front reception. They were patient with our countless questions and made sure we were comfortable.
