My visit was for a pedicure through ClassPass. The staff was pleasant, and the service itself was good. I was asked about several add-on services during my appointment, but I declined them. Although I generally enjoyed the experience, I did have some reservations about the cleanliness of certain tools being used. Initially, I planned to return because I was happy with the overall service. However, a few weeks later, I developed nail fungus on two toenails. Given that I have not had any other nail salon visits before or since this appointment, I have reason to believe the infection may be related to this visit. I recognize that it is difficult to confirm the exact source, but the experience has me hesitant to return and concerned about the salon's sanitaion procedures. I hope this feedback is received in the constructive spirit in which it is intended. read more

Well I hate to write this because I typically love this salon. I go back and forth from Scottsdale to California. Every time I come back I come here. The last two times they have nickel and dimed me. This time my nail chipped on my big toe the very next day. I went in to fix it and they charged me $7. Believe me the place I go to in California would gladly fix it with no charge. I said I was just here yesterday. I expressed how I thought this was wrong and the receptionist said she begged to differ. Her words exactly. So they got my $7 but lost a customer. Best $7 they'll ever get. Hope that was worth it for them. Do better Cartier!!! read more

My friend wanted a pedicure and asked if I wanted to go with her. Being a typical male, I have never had a pedicure. I agreed. I've always had nice feet. I take care of them regularly myself. They seemed to be pushing getting gels for my female friend. She wanted the classic pedicure with polish. The place was clean and seemed to follow hygienic procedures, like a new liner for each footbath. I informed them that this was my first time. Therefore, I let them all and do what is standard for a straight male pedicure. They rounded the toenails without asking my preference. I assumed male pedicures are generally straight across with slight edge rounding to avoid ingrown nails on my size 13 foot. The nail tech didn't notice and then ask since I already had them cut straight across. I googled to confirm and found that the standard is for male pedicures to have them straight across not rounded like the typical female pedicure. I was unhappy when I inspected my toes after I got home. My pinky toe had a tear and my big toe was already bleeding. Aside from being heavily rounded instead of being straight across. The straight part of the big toe wasn't even. I don't know if this is because they usually paint the toenails on most female clients, so it's less noticeable. I have minimal calluses. The post pedicure foot scrub and paraffin wax was average. At $55 plus tax and tip, this was very disappointing experience. read more

The day after getting my nails done with dipping powder, I have 2 that are chipping. I am from out of town, paid $55. To have them chip already is frustrating. I can't come back in as I am leaving town today, so now I have to pay someone else to redo it. They did not use any base dip powder or top coat dip powder, so it's no surprise they are chipping. read more

This place has absolutely wonderful customer service and is so clean! We made appointments for pedicures and requested a specific tech for my mom. When we got there he was busy with another client so they asked if my mom would be ok with someone else. Not a problem really but maybe they shouldn't promise a certain tech. read more

So ..., $60 plus 25% tip for a classic pedicure and manicure and the front receptionist was very pushy to get you to "upgrade" even though I requested a classic manicure/pedicure. They ended up charging me for the "special" pedicure that I didn't request. The technicians did an ok job - very rushed and then I was paying out the manager accidentally chipped my nail, causing a smear in the polish. She never offered to fix it and the technicians that performed the services on my feet and hands were already gone. The massage chairs didn't work and not very relaxing. I was in and out in 30 mins. I have been going to Cartier Nails for over 5 years....most recently I had a frustrating experience which ended up being even better than expected. STEVEN, who has been doing my Gel pedicures for over 2 years is normally outstanding with customer service and communication...NOT THIS TIME. Shame! My last appointment with Steven was early Nov and it was great. Then we scheduled a new one for yesterday, Sunday based on HIS schedule. I arrived promptly at 10am (my appointment time) and by 10:15 there was no Steven. Then the owner said it was his day off but then in the same conversation said he would be late. I was so confused, frustrated and disappointed. Now, I almost left BUT I thought I would try JENNY, the new gal which the owner recommended. Let me just say GOOD THING I STAYED and did that. She did an amazing job - and I will DEF. be going back to her. Oh, and by the way, when Steven did come in, he didn't say anything to me, nor apologize. When I asked him what happened his exact response was "I HAVE A COUGH". What the? Won't be using him again. Friend went for a gel manicure and the male nail tech cut her three times, didn't give her a massage or a hot towel. When she complained to the manager, the manager said that the massage and hot towel was complimentary and not necessarily part of the price for the gel manicure. I should have known better but I decided to give this place another go. Got them dipped. The lady (didn't catch her name, not Susan, who another customer was super happy about the service), filed my skin raw because she can't tell the difference btw my nail and my skin. (Facepalm) She told me that she's been doing this for 8 years and proceeded to tell me that my dip should be $45-50 and not the $40 that I was quoted because the $40 does not include a manicure. This is the first time that I came in to get a manicure to be told that the price does not include the manicure, only the paint (dip, in this case). So to top off the crappy service and the cuts or file burns on a couple of fingers, the dip didn't even last a day before it started to bubble. They did an okay job, but I don't think I'd go back. I've been getting dip on my nails for 6 years and know what works for me. The technician told me she didn't want to do what I suggested and that each person has their own system could I let her try things her way. I said yes and she went on with my manicure. My nails looked good although each nail is a different shape and length. There is not uniformity between my left and right hands. The next day I broke a nail. I went back to have it fixed and they tried to charge me stating that this was my fault. In my experience, dip should never break in 1 day from an every day activity (I was picking up my laptop when it cracked and snapped) and I have never had a salon charge me to fix one nail the day after I had my manicure. It's now two weeks out and I have two more broken nails. The staff mostly was very nice and I would potentially go back here for a pedicure, but they are not nail experts. read more

I went in to get my nails done. I showed them the picture on the right. They said they could do this design no problem. The man who did my nails filed my acrylics down so low, didn't do the shape I wanted, and even added glitter I didn't ask for on my design nails. When I asked him about all of this he stated "we keep the shape" "I don't like long nail, I like natural nail" and "glitter makes it prettier." I advised him I do not like the glitter or shape or length of my nails. He didn't change them instead tried to talk me into them. We were there late so I accepted them paid and left. I called the next day and asked if I could come in and have someone else fix my nails. They told me this was okay and someone else would do them. I get there and they had him do my nails. They told me he had to do them. I asked him to give me my length back, he replied "I worked on your natural nail yesterday" I replied "no I had acrylic you just filed them down so short" you could tell he got very angry and was being super rough on my nails. He finally agreed to add new acrylics. He did an okay job but still didn't paint my nails well they looked a week grown out when we were done already. They then made me pay $15 when I left. I live in Los Angeles and because of Covid lots of places still not opened. Decided to go to the river in AZ and badly needed a manicure and pedicure. I did some research on Yelp and found this awesome place real close to the hotel I stayed at. I recieved a gel manicure and a spa pedicure with the hot stone massage. S 2 weeks later and lots of water time in between and my manicure and pedicure still look amazing!! Lily did an excellent job and I will definitely be back when I'm in town again. The one thing I did not like is that they did not honor my 10% off for the Yelp check-in. Even though they didn't honor it, this place is still worth the 5 stars. Went to this nail salon for a simple new acrylic set. The nail tech that I received said he could do what I asked for and then proceeded to completely screw everything up. Asked for a coffin shape and after 45 minutes of him trying told him that he could just leave it as squares since he obviously didn't know what he was doing. I wanted them short and ofc he proceeded not to listen and leave them long and ghetto. Also he didn't know the ratio of acrylic powder so they ended up goopy and falling apart. The website also said it was only $50 for a new set, but then I was charged $15 for removal of the old set which was understandable but then they proceeded to charge me another $10 for a design on one finger... the whole ordeal was $75 and almost 2 hours don't waste your time or money here. read more

The pedicure was very relaxing with the hot stone massage. The gel manicure was the best I have ever received - they were meticulous with cleaning and trimming my finger nails to ensure each nail looked uniform. I originally came for a gel mani & pedi but bc of the nail tech's cruddy work, it took 1.5 hours for her to take off the gel I already had and fix the polish she put on because it kept bubbling and just looked horrible. I was really pleased with my pedicure. I upgraded to the special/deluxe whatever was one above the standard ($25) and it was worth it for $35 and the callus removal. The gal really worked on getting my heels in shape, which I appreciated. Massage was nice as well and it was a good experience. They also had a good selection of colors to choose from.
