I have purchased many new cars in my lifetime (68 yrs old) and working with Kendall Ford was one of the best experiences I have had. As we live about 40 miles from Kendall, it was easy to do most of the buying process over the internet. After setting up a test drive time, we arrived at Kendall Ford and was greeted by Mike who then proceeded to show us the vehicles we were interested in (CMax Energi) and after the test drive worked with us to finalize the paper work including the trade-in we had. We never felt any pressure from anyone we talked to. From beginning to end, if car-buying can be called a pleasure, this was it. Strike one: Jan '14; when I purchased an '08 F350, I specifically told them that when I arrive the following day to pick it up, the bed liner has got to go. I had an appointment set up with an RV dealer to prep the truck for camper installation. And I informed my salesman that a camper cannot sit on a plastic bed liner. He and another member of the staff said it would be done. The bed liner was still in place when I arrived the next morning. So with the wasted time, I had to reschedule my appointment at the RV dealer. Strike 2: Aug '15; when I made an appointment for an oil change, I asked if they'd have a place for me to drop the camper. The service rep I spoke to over the phone said yes. But when I showed up, they said there was no room for my camper and they could not do a tire rotation with the camper on the truck. Strike 3: Feb '16; in the market for a new F350 dually, I spent some time with the sales staff (one of their names was Martin, but I don't recall the other guy's name), took a test drive, and went over some numbers. In the following days, I called each of them once. They both told me they'd check into it and call me back. But they never did. So Kendall, Yoooooou're outta there! Just no. The salesmen here are shady and aggressive and the financial people are just as bad. It's a shame that you have to defend yourself at every turn from people who you're paying to work for you. The whole point of buying from a dealer (as opposed to private) is that you're paying a premium for some measure of confidence that you aren't getting screwed. This place is not worth the dealer premium. Not by a long shot. If you go to buy a used car, be prepared for: 1) Them to ignore your requests to finance through the institute of your choice. Oh, you forgot that I told you three times that I'm working out my own financing through my credit union? Shut the hell up. 2) Very aggressive/shady tricks to make it seem as if you've already verbally agreed to their terms. 3) Extreme lowball offers on trades. 4) Excessive (~$5000!.... for a $15000 car!) optional "service agreements" automatically added to their offer. When you request these taken off, be prepared to be treated as if you're asking for the moon. There will also be a useless $199 "anti-theft" fee that they won't tell you is optional. 5) Witholding of any information that would allow you to make informed decisions. As an example: they are very reluctant to leave the lot with a price quote or any cost breakdown that you could use to compare with vehicles at other dealers. 6) Aggressive/desperate tactics to keep you from leaving the lot to drive other vehicles or read vehicle reviews or talk to your bank or just "sleep on it". If you are a small female, be prepared for an intimidation game. You have to buy a car from someone. If you must go here, go with a friend who will take no shit from these people. EDIT/RESPONSE to Kendall's comment: We'll consider contacting the manager but I'm not amending this review since it accurately reflects our experience. Kendall service department needs an enema to flush all the crappy service advisors out. I had an appointment for service but when I tried to talk to a service advisor I was told to sit and wait for one to reach out. After a while of sitting and customers walking in and getting service on the spot, I decided it was time to leave and find another dealer who somewhat cares. First, allow me to start off with apologizing to Kendall for ever doubting them. This is the third transaction I've done at a Kendall spanning over two different states. I still have to be honest and say that this one did not begin as pleasant as the first two. However, Kendall came through in the end and put me first before everything else. I can honestly say at this point that I don't know if there is any other dealership I will ever trust more. I am now a very happy customer of theirs and I highly recommend them to anyone in search of a vehicle whether new or used. There is one person who I genuinely feel deserves a commendation, that person is salesman James Kirk. Not only was J. Kirk willing to go above and beyond each time I needed something, I felt like he worked for me and not against me during my purchase. He also displayed great empathy when I came to him with my problems. If you ever have any issues speak to "Kevin" their customer relations manager - great guy. I truly feel lucky to be on this side of the continent knowing if I ever have to buy, sell or trade a car that Kendall is near. So far I have found that Kendall ford is by far the worst Ford dealer in all of Oregon. it is unfortunate that this is the only Ford dealer for a couple of miles. I love my ford vehicles, I hate having to take them to Kendall ford for any type warranty service. My first vehicle through kendall was a new Explorer. We noticed a foul oder in the cabin when at a stop. Being a average consumer I looked up the symptoms on the Internet and found several other owners claiming exhaust fumes getting into the cabin (200k people filing a petition ). I took the vehicle into kendall ford and was given the run around for 2 weeks. No positive outcome came out of getting the vehicle serviced. We ended up selling our new car (taken a hit on the sale) since kendall wouldn't do the right thing. 2nd vehicle we bought was from a different ford dealer, outside of eugene/lane county area. The vehicle needed warranty service on the transmission. Took it to kendall because I did not want to travel outside of lane county to get warranty service. Kendall took the vehicle for a week and a half (gave me a loaner vehicle no where equivalent to my vehicle ). Received my vehicle from kendall after calling them several times to request an update. Kendall never called me to tell me any sort of update or when the vehicle was expected to be finished. Once I picked up the car, 30 mins prior to closing the service shop, I drove it off the lot and my tire pressure sensors came on. Warning me of low tire pressure. I called the service center and was told to bring it in the next day. After driving it further I found they did not put my exhaust on properly due to the obvious exhaust leak sound which was audible from inside with the windows up. I took it in the next day and was told to bring it on Monday since the technician who worked on my car doesn't work on Saturdays. I was quite upset and asked why some other technician could not air up my tires and fix my exhaust. They provided some BS excuse, saying the previous technician would be the only one who could work on the car. I left and returned Monday, as they requested, only to meet a service tech who would schedule me in for Wednesday. ... I left and returned Wednesday dropped the car off to get air in the tires and the exhaust tightened up. 1 day later I called them for an update (reoccurring theme here), and was told the car was ready. Picked up the car and was provided no apology for the huge mistakes. I highly suggest people look at buying a Ford, not from kendall eugene. read more

We had bought our car from Damerow Ford in Beaverton and it was certified pre-owned. We had a issue with the a muffler bracket that Damerow was supposed to have fixed before leaving the lot which come to find out they had never fixed. Under the impression that it was covered under warranty we weren't concerned until taking our car to Kendall Ford (which the outside keypad wasn't working even though the cert checklist said it was) we thought we would just get everything fixed and be on our way. Apparently nothing was covered under warranty (so why buy a cert pre owned) after dealing with ford themselves we were told that although the keypad wasn't covered under warranty FORD would cover %75 of the bill and Damerow should be expected to pick up the rest. Well Damerow never answered their calls or returned calls in the time period of 2 weeks but KENDALL who had NOT sold us the car insisted on paying the rest of the bill which was a unexpected yet pleasant surprise. I will forever recommend this dealership to everyone, thank you to Kevin Hyde. read more

Made a deal for my new truck over email with Kendall Ford. We came to an agreement on price and I went in to pick up my new truck. They had it cleaned and full of fuel when I arrived. Unfortunately, the wait time to complete the deal was in my opinion way too long. I stayed at the dealership waiting to drive away in my new truck for over 2.5 hours. They tried pushing any and all upgrades on me even though I expressly said no to all. I know it's their job tho, so I didn't mind too much. Long and short, it was a decent experience and I got the truck I wanted for "almost" the price I wanted to pay. Thanks Kendall for an 8 out of 10 experience. George, Skylar and Amy were all personable. George was helpful with his knowledge, he knew the vehicle. The main person that I want to Thank is Keith Brewer in finance. He was not just words, he followed through. He had a great sense of humour, he made sure our questions were answered, but most important- he was a man of his word. It is hard to believe in what people say these days, my husband and I both thought he was saying it to look good. He ended up getting our APR down to 7 % from 14% !!! saving us thousands of dollars. THANK YOU KEITH. He also has follwed up with us. I was happy that my vehicle fuel tank was full. I was unhappy with the parts department. They did not have a silicone cover I could purchase for our key phob. Ford vehicle, ford parts dealership and not available? Plus, did not know when or if more were coming in. I would give an 'F' for parts customer service. I was unhappy I had to come back during service hours which is open to 5pm, to get my door code. It was an extra trip and I had to leave work early. I just want to share with others that this Ford dealership has an awesome service department. Mike Glover, one of their service specialists, has handled all the repairs for my Taurus for three years now and he has always been extremely honest, kind, respectful, effiicient and courteous. Repairs have been handled promptly, the courtesy shuttle is always available, and I never get a shock when I get the bill. I have not purchased a vehicle form them but have discussed doing so with a couple of sales reps, and feel certain that the sales staff will be just as professional and courteous as service. read more

I just want to say that I am a very pissed off customer who will never buy a car from Kendall again. I purchase my 2014 Ford Focus from Kendall and have nothing but problems ever since. It has been taken to their service department 5 times for the same issue. Their service department claims to have fixed the issue with the clutch and transmission 4 times and it still is having the same issue. They claim the only thing they will do is keep replacing the same part over and over and I'm sick of it. It obviously not fixing the problem. They have terrible customer service and don't seem to give a crap about there customers who spend thousands of dollars for a new car. If I'm spending that kind of money the car better work properly. It's going back on Thursday and this time I'm speaking to the supervisor this is ridiculous. read more

BY FAR the worst experience I have ever seen with any dealership. EVER. I purchased my first car from Kendall less than a month ago. We negotiated a rate with extended warranty of 200 a month for 60 months with 1500 down. They called me the next day saying that they had messed up the APR rate, and that it had gone up, and they had snuck in changing the term to 72 months. I renegotiated and had to take off the extended warranty. They called me 2 more times, each time messing up paperwork, making me come down to re-sign. THEN, my car's transmission completely disconnected with the stick shift, and is not driveable. I purchased it with 50,000 miles for $12,250. Kendall has a 12 month warranty on all their used cars.... apparently that doesn't apply to your car falling apart before you EVEN MAKE THE FIRST PAYMENT. They are now refusing to return my calls, and refusing to pay for repairs. STAY AWAY FROM KENDALL. read more

I HIGHLY suggest not working with this dealership. Several years ago, I purchased a Ford Focus from Kendall Ford. After I signed all of the paperwork and had owned the car for weeks, I got my first bill. I noticed that the interest rate was higher than what I had agreed to, and what I had signed. After attempting to clear this up with the dealership, I was ignored and hung up on numerous times. Eventually we almost had to go to court because I learned the dealership had illegally changed the interest rate AFTER I signed. To be clear: this is fraud. After dozens of ignored phone calls and messages, the head of the dealership finally got ahold of me when my lawyer had to get involved. They settled by writing a check for the difference. I felt very strongly that this dealership was trying to take advantage of me since I was a college student at the time. I would never ever work with Kendall Ford, or any other Kendal dealership again. read more

I own a Ford diesel truck and to be honest, I've had good service from Kendall Service before. Not this time, however! I took my truck in on a Monday and again, to be fair, I did not have an appointment. My transmission temperature gauge was registering hot and the "checki gage" light was on. I deemed it was serious. I was told in the morning that they would not be able to get to it until the afternoon. Unfortunately, I did not hear from anyone that day or the next. Wednesday morning I received a brief voicemail stating that I would receive a call as soon as the diagnostics were performed! EEK! I called a number of times and requested a call back. I only reached the person in charge of my service after I called the manager and asked that I get an update. I got my truck back on Friday evening with a bill of just under $1,000. Additional work totaling $2,500. was recommended. On the drive home, the transmission temperature gauge again climbed to hot 2.5 miles into the drive and the check gage light was on. This was exactly the issue I brought the truck in for. $904.00 later, I had the same issue! When I got home, I called the service department, but, of course, the person in charge of my service had gone home. He eventually called late on Saturday morning. They took my truck back in on Tuesday morning and discovered that a $20.00 temperature sensor needed replacing! Problem solved! According to the desk person this resulted from faulty communication between the initial technician and the shop foreman who eventually worked on my truck. There was no discussion of returning my $904.00, because, according to Kendall, the truck needed the work that was performed. Finger pointing and misdiagnosing will cause me to look elsewhere for service on my vehicles. Their lack of communication and follow through should probably cause others to look elsewhere as well! read more

If there was an option for zero stars that's what I would choose! Disappointed is an understatement in Kendall Fords service department. I called on a tue to make an appointment to have my wiper fluid system looked at, wiper fluid not spraying out to windshields front and back but can hear the motor for wipers working. They said they could schedule me for a 715 appointment that fri, once I got to Kendall I learned that my appt was not at 715 that was the check in time. They also did not tell me how much the diagnostic fee would be! $115. In a busy world where we need our vehicles, it would have been nice to know that I'd be sitting in a shop for 45 min for a scheduled appt before my car was even looked at, I would have scheduled differently. As a consumer it would have been nice to have it explained that they had a 45 minute check in time as well as the amount of the diagnostic fee so that I could have called around and found a reputable service shop, that adheres to what you are told over the phone and possibly cheaper diagnostics. I've had multiple issues with the service shop at Kendall Ford and the service manager Pat has gone to great lengths to build my trust back, but once again they have disappointed and Kendall service dept has totally lost my trust. For good this time. Once I had to do a BBB report on Kendall's service dept to get my vehicle fixed. read more

Once again Wayne Brown from Kendall Ford came through! I went in just to get details on an offer that Costco was promoting through their car program but ended up getting a better deal on a "new" used car than Costco could offer. I really put Wayne to the test - 6 HOURS of test driving 6 or 7 cars, in and out of the rain, back and forth negotiations ( and Wayne was still getting over a cough) and NEVER once did he complain. Always pleasant, patient and professional - you can't ask for more in a salesperson. I know I made him miss lunch but I hope I didn't make him late for dinner!!! If you want a great experience buying or just looking at a car, go see Wayne. I really dreaded buying a new car for my daughter but had the good fortune of meeting Wayne for that experience, so when I decided I wanted a new car for myself I didn't hesitate to go back and ask for Wayne. Well I finally have a moment to reflect on my visit with Kendall Ford and I have to tell you it was great. My wife and I were trying to decide whether or not the new f-150 was the right fit. Mostly due to the price. We have some what of a tight budget so when we came in we definitely had some fears of getting "ripped off", however the price ended up being better than we expected considering the increased benefits that we were able to take advantage of. Not only did Kendall give us more for our old car than we were expected but they also included into the payment a warranty and a maintenance plan that takes care of the truck for the next 6 years! We had the pleasure of working with Jeff the finance guy (his last name escapes me right now but I highly recommend him ! ). We now have one payment for 6 years and nothing more to pay! All of the repairs and up keep of our new truck are taken care of by Ford! We are definitely loyal costumes for life ! read more

I purchased a one-year old vehicle at Kendall Ford in February. About two months ago I noticed one of the tires kept losing pressure. I had put maybe 3000 miles on. Kendall checked the tire while having other service done. They told me there was a bad "unrepairable" patch job done prior to my buying the vehicle and said I needed to buy a new tire. I balked at purchasing a new tire after only 3000 miles. The service rep, Mike, said the tires were not covered by the dealer's or my extended warranty. I said this was not OK with me, and Mike agreed to check with his sales manager. A few days later Mike called to let me know they would replace the tire at no charge, and he would call me when the tire was in. I checked back a week later and left a message for Mike. He called me a few days after that, admitting he dropped the ball on getting back to me, and said the new tire was in. I swung by on a Saturday with no appointment and they swapped out the tire in about 40 minutes. So it took a little back and forth, but ended up with a good result. read more
