My review is mostly for the leasing and maintenance staff; Gizelle is absolutely amazing. I feel like I can genuinely come to her with a concern (I have!) and she'll try to resolve it in a logical way and not just the "refer to your lease" type of way. Javier is the maintenance staff I've interacted with and this guy is so cool. He's funny, kind, courteous and it's clear that he genuinely cares. He is always on top of things and I've never felt forgotten. I have never dealt with someone in maintenance who has been as good at their job as he has been. This guy really goes above and beyond and it does not go unnoticed. There's also Chris and he is quiet but sweet and equally helpful and considerate. He puts a smile on my face everytime I see him and he never fails to give a friendly wave whenever I see him. Fabian is the most recent maintenance staff I've seen and he's just as great as Chris and Javier. The guys are always helpful even going so far as to help me bring groceries in when they've seen me struggling to get up the stairs. The staff here really is top notch. read more

The community itself is beautiful and relatively new, but living here has become increasingly frustrating. My biggest concern is that management does not seem to communicate consistent rules to residents. When I first moved in, I was told there was no limit on the number of pool visitors, that the lounge could be used without a reservation as long as it was not already reserved, and that the courtyard was a common recreational area for residents, adults, and children. Last month, I went to the office and confirmed these rules again. I was given the same information. Before sending invitations for my 11-year-old son's birthday party, I specifically asked the office one more time whether anything had changed. I was told the rules had not changed. Based on that information, I invited his classmates and their parents to our community for a small pool party. We intentionally chose a Tuesday afternoon from 2:00-6:00 PM, when the community is normally quieter. There was no loud music and no disruptive behavior--just 11-year-old children celebrating a birthday. Some of the parents who came are homeowners and some are renters, and I was actually proud to show them our beautiful community. Then, at around 5:30 PM, a manager came over and told us that there were too many people. We were also told that if we wanted to use the lounge to play pool, we had to pay to reserve the lounge for at least one hour, and that children could only use the courtyard if an adult was present. If these are the actual rules, why was I not told this when I specifically asked multiple times BEFORE the party? Is the policy based on the actual written rules, or does it depend on management's discretion that day? What made the situation even more embarrassing was that the manager approached me about this in front of my family, friends, and guests, putting me in an extremely uncomfortable and humiliating position. I was also reminded afterward to make sure everything was cleaned up and the trash was thrown away. The way this was handled was extremely disappointing and showed very poor customer service. Everything Comes With an Additional Fee The community is beautiful, but it increasingly feels like management is focused on finding ways to "value-add" and charge residents for everything. For a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment costing around $3,000/month, residents also pay approximately $100/month for an additional parking space, plus insurance, water, trash, and other community-related charges that can easily add another $100+ per month. There are also frequent food trucks and other activities that often feel more like opportunities to generate additional revenue than resident benefits. I paid $50 for an additional apartment key fob for my 11-year-old son so he could conveniently access the courtyard and lounge. The office was very quick to collect the $50, but nobody explained that children might need a guardian to accompany them when using these amenities. The swimming pool was also closed to residents for approximately two weeks, yet the community fees were not reduced. Even Edison has recently provided residents with a credit because of the extreme heat. Parking Is Another Major Problem Having family and friends visit is extremely difficult because visitor parking is often completely full. There are only a limited number of curbside parking spaces, so people frequently have to wait for a spot. On top of that, street sweeping takes place every Tuesday morning until 2:00 PM, resulting in many cars receiving tickets. Honestly, living here has made it harder to have friends and family visit. People simply do not want to deal with the parking situation. Beautiful on the Outside, But Many Details Feel Poorly Thought Out The community looks beautiful, but some of the construction materials and design details do not feel particularly high quality. One positive thing is that residents can submit maintenance requests through the app, and maintenance staff generally respond and come out to fix issues. However, there are so many restrictions. Even placing a simple doormat outside your front door is not allowed. Because I have children, we were placed in a first-floor unit. Every week, dust and large amounts of leaves blow onto our patio. When upstairs residents wash their balconies, the water drains directly onto our patio. There is not even a proper gutter system to prevent this. read more

Don't move in here. I lived here for two years, I know what I'm talking about. (Maintenance staff gets a 5-star, by the way. But Greystar, the management, and office staff absolutely ruin it.) They have a lot of vacancies (and no, it's not because of the new building - even though they will try and use that as a way to justify why so many units are empty) and its because no one wants to stay there, and its not worth the price. They absolutely ripped me off when I moved out. Not to mention they mishandled my move-in experience to the point that they opted in to give me a concession to address what they did. Rent elsewhere. Cheated out of $2,000 on move-out. Ghosted. When I left the Kendry apartments in April, 2026, I had a verbal agreement with the office staff that because I'd paid rent for the month of April, the fact that I turned my keys in earlier in the month, would not penalize me. Wrong. I lost over $1,500 because they determined that I left early, and they list me as a "skip." When I called to ask about this, the Kendry office staff told me that I should have got it in writing. Get everything in writing, They also charged me, contrary to California law, for wear and tear on the apartment, and for cleaning, although I left it clean. Having an agreement in writing wouldn't have helped, though, because Graystar (the owners of Kendry) does not respond when contacted. When I tried to dispute the charges, based on CA law, they blocked my phone calls and sent them to a voice mail box that is not answered. When I called from a different number, they picked up right away. Finally, they gave me a Greystar email address. No one responds. I tried calling the billing company (Conservice) whose phone number on the move-out statement is also listed as a point of contact for disputes. That phone number is not in service and the website does not accept information through the comment form. Lastly, I called the email on the refund email (for only $47) that said to contact them about disputes and the person who answered the phone said that they had nothing to do with this. So, I lost $2,000 and have been ghosted. As a word of advice, the other reason not to move into Kendry is that the rent they quote you does not include all of the utilities they charge you for, even though they say that they take care of all utilities except for electricity and cable, Every month you receive a bill that includes fees for all of the other utilities, as well as for garbage -- and a fee for producing the monthly statement. I understand that Greystar recently lost a lawsuit about this practice in Arizona. The only plus side of living here was the maintenance team. read more

If you hope you can carry an umbrella every day you go out because dog poop and dog pee might drip down from upstairs, you are also welcome to live here. I've lived at the Kendry for the past two years. In the beginning, the only thing that really sucked was the parking. Luckily, I had a parking garage so I didn't have to worry, but my roommate was scrambling for parking every night he came home from work. We tried to pay for a second parking spot, however there was a waitlist. We found this confusing since there were plenty of empty spaces, for one, and two we had a 2-bedroom so I would assume we would have one parking spot per room. Not the case. My roommate ended up having to wait a year for a parking spot. About a year into living there, they decided to take on a 1.5 year construction project of adding a new building. Mind you, the complex is already lacking parking and with construction this made things 10x worse. There was a whole street that couldn't be parking on from Monday - Friday during specific times or your car would get towed. Living here was fine. I really liked the apartment itself. Big room, closet and bathroom. I didn't like that my garage wasn't attached to my building. It was such a hassle bringing up groceries. Also, before I moved in I was told that dogs were allowed anywhere in the complex because it's dog friendly. Well since I WFH some times I'd like to go by the pool and work and I'd bring my dog. He'd be leashed up and wouldn't bother anyone. One day, while I was out at the pool working with my dog one of the groundskeepers came and told me I couldn't bring my dog in the pool all of a sudden. Overall my experience wasn't bad here, but it definitely could have been a lot better. read more

However, the parking situation has made living here unnecessarily stressful and frustrating. Despite parking in designated guest parking spaces and following the posted rules, I have received multiple parking tickets. Over the past few months alone, I've paid more than $300 in parking fines. I've raised this concern with the leasing office several times, but unfortunately, nothing has been resolved. There have been no clear explanations, warnings, or solutions--just repeated tickets. Parking should not be a constant concern for residents who are doing their best to comply with the rules. It's disappointing that management has not taken more responsibility to address this ongoing issue or advocate for residents when enforcement appears excessive. Kendry Apartments would be a great place to live if the parking situation were handled more fairly and consistently. Until that improves, it's hard to fully recommend living here. read more

Been living here for 2 months. The parking is kind of a nightmare. We have 1 garage space but me and my roommate both have cars and jobs. We have to share the space while the other one has to get lucky enough to find parking when they come back from work. The wait list for a parking spot is 30+ according to the management representative I spoke with. On top of that, they're building townhomes and many new units which will certainly make the situation worse. They are, however, making a parking garage in the new building but it does not look nearly big enough to accommodate all the new units plus the backlog of people waiting for months and more than a year. If you can't find a space you park on the street which even that fills up too. It's not easy having visitors over when the residents themselves can't find parking. Additionally, lots of cars stay in the guest spots for many days at a time which is obviously against the guidelines. I truly hope this new parking garage can accommodate everyone on the waiting list, otherwise it's a classic case of the corporation putting profits over the interests of their own residents/customers. read more

When I walked into the leasing office, I was warmly greeted by Brittney, the property manager, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. She made the entire experience seamless and welcoming. Gizelle gave me the apartment tour and was so informative and patient. She walked me through all the amenities and showed me both the one- and two-bedroom options. Even when I changed my timeframe (more than once!), she remained kind, helpful, and never showed the slightest bit of annoyance. I regret moving to this apartment complex and would strongly advise anyone to look elsewhere. The most glaring issue is that the call box has been broken for a month, and despite multiple requests, the management company greystar has done absolutely nothing to fix it. As I was told today they are still waiting for Greystar to approve getting it fixed. This might seem like a minor issue to some, but when you're paying over $3k in rent every month, it's unacceptable to be left in the dark without even a response from management company or any action as we have disabilities over here. What's even more frustrating is that they have not offered any compensation or reduced rent, even though I've had to pay extra just to ensure I can get stuff into the building and missed several deliveries a d was unable to get an important delivery. they have not offered any accommodations on how we can get our packages. On top of that, the call box situation is a violation of ADA compliance, and the management company has made no effort to accommodate residents with disabilities who are struggling because of this issue. It's clear that they don't prioritize the safety and well-being of their tenants. The owner seems to have enough money to build new buildings, yet they can't be bothered to maintain the existing ones. This property is part of Greystar, and it's honestly embarrassing how poorly Greystar manages it. I've only been here for five months, but it's already been nothing but a headache. The lack of response from the management company, combined with the negligence, has caused unnecessary financial strain and hardship. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Save yourself the stress of dealing with unresponsiveness, broken amenities, and the blatant disregard for tenants. I'll definitely be moving as soon as my lease is up. This property is a perfect example of how a company can have the budget for shiny new things but can't take care of what they already have. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live! Additionally, there are a lot of college kids. They live here and they throw parties every weekend. This apt is really bad when it comes to parking. Now with construction going on, the parking is even worse than it is. They even took the parking in front of the gas station. They post signs in certain areas that you can only park there from 5pm to 6am or else you'll get towed. And believe me, you do get towed, I've seen it with my own eyes. For a luxury apt, you would think they would have enough parking. Now with them extending the apt in the corner, parking will be more of an issue. We lived at Kendry for two years, the first year was great. We loved our apartment, and the community was really nice. When our lease came up for renewal they raised our rent an exponential amount but we were willing to pay that because we loved our apartment so much. Shortly after resigning, the construction began directly next to our unit. It was incredibly frustrating that our rent was raised so considerably when they knew they were beginning their expansion project directly outside our window, but that was never disclosed to us. We also could no longer use our balcony because of the amount of dust and construction debris that blew onto it. As a result of the construction, the parking was also a nightmare. Some days you would have to park a half mile away. Upon move out the majority of the security deposit is taken due to normal wear and tear on the apartment. The maintenance team is amazing however, they were always so nice and accommodating. We had water damage in our apartment and had to live in our living room for a month with little access to the bedroom (with no decrease in rent) but all the maintenance staff were great in that time. read more

For those who are curious - the apartments are just as beautiful as the photos make them out to be! I loved my experience here so much over the past few years that I encouraged other family to also rent. I would not have done that without the welcoming staff, Javier, and joining the team soon after, Chris! Having reliable staff and maintenance makes living at the Kendry a wonderful experience. For anyone considering moving in, just know that Javier and Chris make the apartments a community and home. For any repairs, Javier and Chris are extraordinarily hardworking, reliable, and have a great attention to detail. They go above and beyond, and do not stop at the maintenance requests to ensure that everyone feels welcome. Javier asks how residents are doing and check in when he is outside (often headed to the garage to grab tools or fix our lives, once again!). As a result, he is always proactive in making sure the experience at the Kendry is wonderful. He does not hesitate to come for any urgent repairs even after hours or on weekends, and is ALWAYS working hard to address residents' requests. The cleaning staff are similarly extra friendly and hardworking. We have many wonderful indoor and outdoor shared spaces which include BBQs, outdoor large tables and chairs, fireplaces, community rooms, workspaces, etc. They are always sparkling, which seems like an impossible task for outdoor patio items! This place will overdraft your rent and fraudulently keep your deposit, despite moving out and returning the apartment in better condition than received. They will lease you a defective apartment filled with dog bite marks all over the curtains, chipped paint jobs, and a shower that cannot attain warm water. Very disappointing experience, especially when they fraudulently take your money. Maintenance and staff will constant ignore your requests. We moved here April 2022 and have really enjoy our time here the community is very nice and well kept from the landscaping to the facilities. The amenities at Kendry are unique from the awesome gym, pet park and spa, art studio, cycling room, pool house and pool area. There's lots of amenities to enjoy living here that very few other communities offer (we looked! Haha) Javier the maintanence supervisor has been awesome since day 1 from doing our walk through with us making sure everything in the unit was to our liking he's very friendly and always smiling willing to assist and answer any issues/questions we have. We highly recommend this community to anyone looking for luxury apartments. read more

I have really enjoyed living at the Kendry, and one of the most amazing reasons is the super responsive and friendly maintenance team, headed by Javier. On several occasions he has really saved the day. 1. When the hot water stopped working, he quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it the next day. 2. When the AC stopped working and he had an AC repair guy out expeditiously who fixed the problem. 3. When the washer stopped working, and he found it was because something got stuck in the drain and he vacuumed it out the same day. Keep in mind these are almost brand new apartments but these things are just part of expected home repairs. Thank you so much Javier and we really appreciate you!!! read more
