Unfortunately we did outgrow our unit so we recently had to move, but I'm lucky to have called this place home for 3.5 years. While most of what I have to say is positive, there are a couple of issues that I think are worth mentioning: -For a 1 br, there is little/limited in-unit storage space. The water heater and the washer/dryer (even though I loved having an in-unit washer/dryer) take up a lot of potential cabinet space. -Some neighbors are not very considerate when it comes to respecting reserved parking spaces, or picking up after their dogs. -We found a lot of spiders finding their way into our unit. At the end of the day, I'll definitely miss this place and will always consider The Pines as our first family home.

They take the time to plan different events for us as residents to help build community and I love and appreciate that so much! He had an appointment to view the apartments last Saturday (12/21/24) @ 10:00 AM. He drives all the way up to Upland and he calls Michelle who proceeds to tell him that she can't show the apartment because the maintenance is working on it. So that he could either go later that day or do for another day. No apologies or anything, I guess a confirmed appointment means nothing. When my dad contacted these apartments and spoke to her, he was very clear he was looking for a 2 bedroom, she told him they would have a 2 bed/1 ba with garage starting mid/late January, but in the meantime she could show a similar unit to get a feel for the layout. Hence the appointment on Saturday the 21st. Fast forward today, he has an appointment at 4:00 PM on Dec. 26/2024. He then proceeds to drive up to Upland AGAIN. Under the assumption the 2 bedroom/ 1 ba DOWSTAIRS unit was still going to be available in January like she knew he was looking for. She showed my dad the unit but not really she was just standing there not caring to show him around. He then asks about the downstairs apartment 2 bedroom they were in speaks of and she told him that it was already rented. Of course my dad was confused because per her words, it was supposedly not even available yet. She then is telling my dad that per him being self employed he would need to show bank statements with 30x the rent as the ending balance. Which that she never even mentioned beforehand. Be FFR, anyone with 30x the rent would not rent from these apartments that has barely to no parking and homeless people walking around. It's very clear she just did not want to rent to my dad or take him seriously for whatever her reasons were, but what angers me is wasting my dad's time!! Especially after Christmas to have to drive up to Upland in hopes of finding his new place. I have called and spoke to Michelle when I first inquired on behalf of my dad and she is quick to want to tour the apartments and get the ball rolling, but I guess only if she takes you seriously! Do better Michelle, you're not very good at your job.

Recently, tenants became aware through public information that a registered offender has been living in the community for quite some time. Regardless of whether management was legally obligated to disclose this, I believe it was the responsible and professional thing to do to at least send a courtesy notice reminding tenants to check California's Megan's Law database for awareness and safety. But yet we get nonsense emails about Not "feeding stray cats" for the "Safety" of the community! CRAZY! Or about Parking! The priorities at the Vineyard Village are all backwards! Unfortunately, our property manager, Baudelia, did nothing--no email, no reminder, no acknowledgment. This complete lack of communication shows poor judgment and neglect of her basic duty to keep residents Informed and Reassured. For someone managing a "family-oriented community"located right next to an elementary school, this level of indifference is unacceptable. After seven years here, I've seen the decline in management quality, The office Assistan Leah and the Manger are no help to the tenants always have an attitude and never get back to you with a resolution. But this incident takes it to another level. Vineyard Village deserves a manager who values transparency, tenant safety, and professionalism.
