I lived at park central for a year and honestly it was not a great experience. The apartment complex looks decent and the layout was beautiful with in unit full washer and dryer. On move in date I waited in the rain with my daughter for them to open and get our keys only to be told I was not scheduled and that person I spoke to no longer worked there. When getting my keys a lot of issue where never taken care of, door jammed and was hard to open, broken refrigerator drawer, sink hose loose and smelly, no storage key to lock up, laundry room door didn't shut, ect. Maintence was horrible. Trash area would pile up to where you couldn't get to the trash bins without climbing a mountain of trash (I have since heard they finally scheduled more picks ups to help resolve this issue, not sure why it took them so long to do that). I had an incident where my daughter got extremely sick after a pool day and I figured maybe she drank some pool water and it upset her tummy but she was so weak, stomach pains, diarrhea, vomiting, and sleeping all day. We phone the doctor and by the next day she seemed much better. Few days later we went to the pool and noticed a health inspector testing the water and I over heard him tell maintence that their was NO CHLORINE in the pool. He then came over and said I recommend you get your kids out the pool. They then closed it down claiming they were closing due to some regular maintence. I looked up symptoms for getting ill due to no chlorine in pool and was horrified to see that my baby basically swam in poop infected water and thats what made her sick. When bringing it up I was told they were never aware of no chlorine in the pool it was news to them. Prior to move in I took my dog to get groomed and all was good. After moving in I started to noticed him itchy all the time and at first put it off as stress from the move. When bathing him again he was infested with fleas. Month after month I tried everything from weekly baths, flea shampoos, on guard, professional groomer's, nothing gave. After moving out it only took 2 months to get rid of his fleas completely and he has been flea free for almost a year now. I had an incident where I seen a roach and immediately made them away to have it sprayed and taken care of. They did send pest right away and the guy asked some questions. Was asked if our furniture was new or old because sometimes it can come from other places. I mention everything was brand new when moving in. I seen a roach inside of our stove clock, yes inside, so I pulled the oven out to see if there were crumbs on the floor to clean up and noticed some holes in the wall behind the stove. I made the complex aware of these holes that were suppose to be patched and they never came to patch them up. Luckily pest came quite a few times and I didn't have an issue with roaches. Thankfully it wasn't up to maintence to resolve that or it would have been a different story. Our shower tub constantly got plugged and the water would not drain. I messaged them and after a week of waiting decided to take care of it myself and when I messaged them that I took care of it they decided to send someone over that same day to take care of it. Our tub got flooded every like 3 months in which I gave up asking and we would just snake it ourself. I do not have so much hair for it to clog the drain and I am careful not to let my hair go in the drains. My new complex hasn't been clogged not once. When our washer broke down a week passed by before I went to see what was going on only to see that maintence put it was resolved. I had to go to the laundry mat to wash. When I let the office know I was extremely upset as not only does that cost money but time and ask that they reimburse me they did agree and had my washer replaced. It was still a disappointment that it just wasn't done to begin with. Upon moving out we were charged so much for so called cleaning fees and repairs. Let me tell you I have always gotten my deposits back in full. We leave the place clean and to be honest better than when they handed us the keys. You cant argue charged because it goes to the maintence guy Trent who is the one who charges the fees and according to office no one is above him if you come to a disagreement. They took most of our deposit and office had the nerve to say well you are getting a good amount back still. I had to correct her and tell her what I am getting back is the deposit for the rent in case we didn't make the rent because of the lower credit score we had to leave 2 months deposit that had nothing to do with the deposit for damage and repairs. They legally could not take the rent portion as we made all our payments. A friend of mine had a whole issue with mold in her complex. I would not recommend this place and if so I advise you document everything for your and your families safety. Seek legal advice if you have to as I do regret not doing this for myself and my family. read more

I came to tour this place on a Saturday and the woman working was wonderful. She was very kind and had great customer service. We loved the apartment and have since been very interested in putting in an application but we were waiting until we were sure this was the place. I came back to tour again with a few different members of my family to get a second opinion there was an older blondish lady working on the office to the right when you walk in. She was extremely rude and acted as if I was an inconvenience to her. I had called the number listed on the Park Central website and scheduled my tour and she told me that I was talking to AI people. I don't get days off of work often, so taking the time to come to this tour was pretty important. She told me that there was no units available for viewing and that it was dangerous for us to view the unit because it had been sprayed with pesticide. She told me that calling the number listed on the website was pretty much useless because these are bot people and they do not actually work for Park Central nor relay any information to Park Central before this experience we were pretty set on putting in an application but now she has totally turned me off from these apartments. The lack of customer service and unprofessional communication throughout the team is something that will definitely make your living here very difficult in the water. read more

My girlfriend and I have been a resident here for over two years and I have nothing but positive things to say about living here. I'll start off with the staff- Savahnna, Pablo, Trent, and Mike are absolute all stars. From the day we moved in, they have all treated us great. As someone who works in the property management industry myself, I can truly appreciate the hard work that this entire team puts in to keep everything running smoothly. Every time I see any of the staff, they always say hi and greet me with a smile. It's the little things that make you feel comfortable and love where you live. Out of all the apartment complexes I've worked at, I'd have to say this place has the best staff. I've made several maintenance calls and every time the gentlemen are quick, efficient, and respectful. Michael has helped me on a couple occasions and each time he's been friendly and quick. I just got my dishwasher replaced and Trent was respectful, quiet, and quick. They're both in and out and clean up before they leave. The best part is they always ask if there's anything else they can help me with. I really appreciate the maintenance crew here at Park Central. The administration office has great personnel as well. I've lived here for 2 years now and this complex has improved tremendously. Management is wonderful; Savahnna is the absolute best! She actually cares about the people living here and wants to help keep this property nice and thriving. Trent & Micheal are great maintenance men. They always have a smile on their face and are quick to try to resolve any issues. The property is looking better landscape wise. The trash is really the only issue that still remains. The gates are working 90% of the time, which is a huge improvement from when I moved in. They have done renovations to the pool and BBQ's which turned out really nice. I rembr how nice this place was in 2014.. I know there's a low Workers drought right now. But dang!! The Doggie stations are neglected. It smells soo bad, the Dog wouldn't even go.. I feel sorry for the Dogs at this point. I guess it's hard to get people to comply,, but people are neglecting the DOG PARK PRIVILEGES!!! And not to mention the kid I almost hit on the skateboard!! Sheesh. The rent keeps going up & the Qualiry of Park Central keeps depleating.. If your going to charge more rent, then the Owners & management needs to do more to make the property great!! These people are worse then car salsemen. Do not sign anything until you are sure because they will tell you you have a certain amount of time to change your mind and get the initial fee of $400 but they will NOT reimburse or call you back. You'll have more luck finding Big Foot than getting ahold of someone here. I've sent a total of 5 emails and 1 voicemail to Park Central with 0 responses. That's 2 emails about the apartment before my tour, 2 emails about the application process after the tour, and 1 email asking them to please respond. This is on 3 different platforms (Zillow, their website email, and their website portal) hoping that they'd check one of those. I only called when I was at my appointment 10 minutes early only to be waiting outside locked doors for another 30 minutes. The tour itself was fine. Raina was very attentive, personable, and willing to adapt. I wanted to see the actual apartment I'd be renting but it's still occupied for another month; a question I asked in the email but of course no one saw it. My only concern was listening to her tell me about how clean and well kept the apartments are as I saw a live bug crawling in the ceiling light. Overall, avoid this place at all costs. If they're treating a potential customer this poorly, imagine how they'd treat you after you're locked in on a contract. They're owned by Crushman and Wakefield who purchased another apartment building I was living at. The quality of service went down dramatically after they took over and they tried to raise our rent by another $200 a month. That's part of the reason why I didn't renew. By the way, their response to this is going to be "Oh I'm so sorry, please contact us to resolve this." No. I'm done trying to reach out. YOU reach out to ME if you want to resolve this. read more

This review is for Pablo! My boyfriend & are currently looking in the area to see what would be the right fit for us, our future family, and our puppy. After looking online at apts the park central apts caught my eye. After scheduling a tour and seeing how nice they were inside and outside and meeting Pablo and him being very attentive to our needs and showing how patient he was answering all our many questions we had, it really makes our decision to want to live here that much easier and less hesitating to move . I won't lie the previous reviews are a bit scary but I can see that management has changed in over a year and it makes us excited to want to live here. Thanks Pablo for being amazing. We moved here from Carlsbad a few months ago. At first, I was nervous because we had only seen pictures and videos when we signed the lease. When we got here, I could not have been happier. First, the location. The complex is located near major shopping areas, groceries, restaurants, pet hospitals, everything we need is a within 2-3 miles. There is even a fantastic bike/hike/pet walking trail we can catch two blocks away. Second, the apartment itself. This is definitely one of the best looking units we've ever rented in 15 years. Large storage (cabinets, closets, walk in) and a very convenient washer/dryer room inside, with even more storage space. The size of the washer/dryerd are also bigger than average. Third, and my most favorite part of the house..the kitchen. The aisle is really wide. The kitchen is not your typical apartment kitchen size where you bump into each other when there's two people in it. You can fit a family of 5 adults in the kitchen without touching each other. I was pleasantly surprised because you really can't tell with the pics and videos how this is. I'm not sure if all units come this way, but our cabinets are white, making the place look clean and modern. Last, it's quiet here, which is essential now that we work from home. I don't understand one review that says the walls are thin. It's not the case for us - we also talked to our downstairs neighbor. She can't hear us and we can't hear them. So until we are ready to buy, this is definitely the place for us. read more

A very nice and quiet place to live! Amenities are great and the gated community is a plus. Guest parking sucks tho and you need to contact the main office for a guest parking pass but the main office never responds to my email or picks up the phone. It's like they muted me lol. Other positives are the maintenance team! Trent and Alonzo are homies and are super friendly and helpful with whatever you need. If only the main office were more responsive to their tenants' needs then maybe the living experience here would be better and they wouldnt get bashed on so much. read more

I will be moving here and I am excited for this new journey. The management team here is amazing. After searching high and low for the perfect apartment, I came across this property and it was a great decision. They actually answer the phone lol. From the moment I started the application process with Pablo they've made me feel at ease and have helped me through the entire process. Savannah is great, she took the time out of her busy schedule to assist me so everything can be escalated quickly because I was commuting over an hour on the specific day that I applied. I applied and got approved same day, IN THE OFFICE! She communicates so well and effectively, she always responds on time and she keeps it real! I LOVE THAT ABOUT HER! The property is super clean and they do an amazing job keeping up with everything. I am 2 days away from moving into my new apartment and I could not be more excited. My review is more about the maintenance team!! Trent and Alanza are so amazing they help me whenever I need them. They also go above and beyond to make sure that everything is in perfect condition. They are around the property keeping it in order. They have been so helpful and I'm thankful. Outside of that parking sucks you can not have unplanned company because you need a permit to have a visitor park in visitor parking and you can only get that during business hours and getting someone on the phone in the office is hard. read more

Still planing on updating at the end of our lease, but 10 days in and it's still a terrible experience. Our toilets and our washing machine were all disconnected with the valves off. In addition, our water heater pilot was off so we did not have hot water for the first couple days. Water is currently coming up from underneath the floorboards in our laundry room/kitchen and the master bedroom sink is leaking into the cabinet below. As of now we still don't have our second parking space (having to park in guest parking) . And still do not have a gate key opener. Hoping these issues get resolved and these are the last of the problems we have at this complex. So far we really love the apartment and the complex itself. The people we have seen in passing are friendly and the complex is quiet. read more

I love the place. Beautiful grounds and great floor plans. The office and maintenance staff is wonderful. That being said continuing to raise rent at the time of a global pandemic with the unemployment rate through the roof is really not what the property should be doing. Especially when almost half of the year we were unable to use any of the amenities we pay for. read more

So I am a current resident here at Park Central. Over the last three years of living here it has gone down hill. We are now due to renew our rental agreement and it's insane! 175 dollars for a garage and 80$ for a outside parking spot! Pet rent went up. To have all these increases following a pandemic when we could not use the amenities is ridiculous. The trash area gets out of hand, we still have lights out of service. On the walking path and lights around the complex for parking and the dog poop stations. It's dangerous. The night patrol security company we are paying for is a joke! They sit at the front of our complex in a parking spot. They let salvaged cars get dumped in parking spots. A broken in vehicle sat in a tenants parking spot for over a week and no one swept up the glass. Allowing tenants to walk their dogs without leashes and barely a slap on the wrist. A bar by our jacuzzi is broken so anyone can slip into our pool area. Visitor parking is a just ridiculous. You gotta make sure you plan in advance anyone coming over. Broken wall or no coverings for lights on the apartment building hallways. The maintenance staff, the guys are so nice. Trent and Alonzo are a good team. But I feel like they have been limited in being able to do things around the complex due to the property management company. CW is by far the worst property management we have had. read more

For the most part, I agree with the Yelp reviewer above (Traci N, 7/21/2020) regarding the upkeep of the grounds at Park Central Apartments. It seems that the grounds have gone downhill in the last few years. When I walk around the complex, I am constantly ducking under trees and walking at the edge of the sidewalk to avoid the protruding bushes/shrubs. The trees have not been trimmed in a few years which results in a mess during the fall as well as throughout the year due to the dead seed pods that break apart and fly everywhere. I have not really seen any bugs, roaches, or rodents myself. It is hard to criticize the office staff because they are very friendly whenever you have questions or concerns; however, I must be truthful that being friendly does not imply good management. The complex has changed owners three times in the last few years, which may explain its decline. From what I have seen and heard, the maintenance team does a good job to fix any issues in a timely manner. They are also responsible for some of the grounds upkeep. I sometimes see them cleaning out the dumpster area for people who do not know how to put their trash in the bins or who put their trash in the walkway when the bins are full. The trash has always been an issue, but the extra bin does help, and it appears that the trash is picked up more often (compared to previous years). In my opinion, the biggest issue in the complex is the guest parking. There are at least three residents in the complex that have five cars. Since residents are allotted a maximum of two parking spots, the residents with more than two vehicles are parking their extra vehicles (including work vehicles and vans) in the limited guest parking. I have seen on multiple occasions residents switching their cars out so that they do not lose the guest parking spot. The complex issues warning citations for some of these vehicles every now and then, but the residents just switch their vehicle out with another one of their vehicles. I have seen residents use motorcycles to take up an entire guest spot and then later park a vehicle in the guest spot and park the motorcycle behind the vehicle. The guest parking issue has been even more of a problem since there are now signs on the west side of Central Avenue that say no parking during the day. There have been a few occasions where I have had family or friends over and they cannot find any parking. A simple solution would be to offer daily parking passes. At the very least, these passes should be enforced during the day when residents are more likely to have visitors. Dog poop seems to be another issue in recent years. The complex has three locations where residents can take their dogs. I have seen dog poop in the middle of sidewalks and parking spaces. The waste bins at the three dog stations should be emptied weekly. I have seen them overfilled on multiple occasions and the smell is horrendous (especially for the residents who live close to the one by the gym). Sometimes, there are no dog bags available and it takes days (sometimes weeks) until they are replaced. Although I do not have any animals, I feel that this should be taken care of especially if residents are being charged rent for their animals. There are good and bad residents in the complex, as with any apartment complex. However, I feel that the number of bad residents has increased in the last few years. There are some residents who have motorcycles and rev them throughout the complex at all times of the day. It is fine with me if they want to rev their motorcycles on the street; however, there is no consideration when they do it in the complex where it is dramatically louder (especially for residents that have to sleep during the day and work at night or residents that have kids taking naps). read more

I will submit another rewview once our lease is over if things get better, but our move in process has been a literal nightmare. Granted, things are a little different now with being in a pandemic and everyting being "no contact" but the lack of professionalism, the lack of care, the disorgnization and the run around we have experienced is truly unacceptable. When we applied and placed our holding deposit, we heard nothing. When we called for updates, you could not get through to the leasing office. Instead you are routed to the "central call center" that can only leave messages on your behalf. After we finally received an answer, were told that our apartment could not be held until our desired move in date being that it can not be vacant that long. So, we changed our moving plans to accomidate their requested expedited move in. In the meantime, we received our welcome letter with rental amounts and move in costs. After setting up utilities and getting a cashiers check for the costs listed, we were notified that our welome letter was going to be revised because they lacked attention to detail and did not account for the pet on our appliation. That being so, all of our rental amounts/deposits were going to change. In addition to overlooking our pet, they did not account for the second car which was also on our application, as we were only given one parking space and one gate key. Their resoltion for not giving us the correct amount of parking spaces was to give us a garage for the time being, but they do not have a garage door opener for it. Today is moving day. We were told to call ahead of time so that they can open our door and leave the keys inside. We did just that , only to arrive to a locked door. In addition to that, a car is parked in our ONLY parking space and we will not be given our gate key or garage door opener until some time next week. So today, our first day in our apartment we have to park illegally so that we can move our things in, and then park overnight (until further notice) in a guest parking space that is at the end of the complex, far from our apartment. The apartment itself is nice and pretty spacious. However, it is still missing a drawer in the kitchen and lights are out on the patio (which they did notify me ahead of time). But it is frustrating that they made us move in early because the "apartment could not be vacant", despite it being incompelte and not move in ready. I have been as patient with them as I possibly can during this time. I know that their processes must be a little different now and they may be adjusting as we all are during this pandemic. But at this point it is very hard to not be frustated and discouraged. I am hopeful that this isnt a representation of what we will deal with the entirey of our lease. Had I read a review such as this before applying, I would have chosen to live elsewhere to avoid the headache. read more
