But when I do go, I absolutely love it. There are 4 multi use courts for basketball, soccer, and volleyball, as well as an indoor track and ample amount of workout equipment. It can get a little crazy at certain points in the day, with various teams practicing in some spaces and the wight room can get crowded. But overall, I love the Kern Center. Now, if I could only motivate myself to go more often.

Location, location, location! The hotel is built within a remodeled mansion and has the basic amenities you want in a hotel - AC, WiFi, modern bathrooms, plenty of outlets - while still maintaining its unique charm. I wish there were more surfaces in our hotel for storing my toiletries in the bathroom, a place to set things in the room (aside from the floor), a desk. This may be unique to our room, all the rooms at the hotel are different. Not an inconvenience, more a note to ownership for an easy usability upgrade. We had an issue with our automatic lock keypad at midnight after walking home from the festival. We texted the number and someone responded right away. There is not a front desk here so quick response to offsite staff is critical. The hotel contact was friendly and drove to us in 15 minutes to resolve the issue. Tips if you stay here - a) get pre-reservations at Agency cocktail bar set inside the hotel if you're into libations (including non alcoholic). It's a small space and super fun time, they book up quickly! b) when they offer you a dedicated parking space right outside the hotel for an additional fee, take it. We found this so convenient to have our car in the same spot for the full stay I enjoyed the stay here and would happily stay here again, particularly with any planned downtown activities.

I have been here for my friends 40th birthday, and a girls stay and both were amazing. It's located in downtown Milwaukee so close to the local night life. I always make sure I have cash in hand to grab a piece or two from this brilliant addition to the hotel. Such a wonderful feature and an asset for Milwaukee!

The neighborhood has old Milwaukee feel, like true residential feel. This place was restored roughly 25 years ago. It was originally built in 1886 and condemned to be torn down before they saved it. It took 7 years to really revive it. The grounds, the building, the details, the architecture, and sheer care that went into this place is very evident. It is so beautiful and the hospitality is even beyond. Truly a wonderful experience. I don't stay at bed and breakfast much because I usually opt for the hotels and it's amenities but I must this place definitely has changed my mind---although it is unique. I stayed in Sophie's room and it was very well maintained. The water pressure is actually very good and you can definitely come and go as you please. The breakfasts are delicious. They will use vegetables from the yard for omelets or Andrew's famous French toast w/ "brewed" vanilla. They are wonderful company and extremely cordial and down to earth folks. If I ever come back to Milwaukee---because this was a random spur-of-the-moment trip--I would stay here again. Definitely recommending it to others!

We did a getaway weekend and stayed at the Clark hotel for two nights in July. The room we stayed…read morein was really nice. Had a really large bathroom with a really nice shower and the room had a lot of space. The bed was pretty comfortable. The room was pretty clean, but the downside is we stayed on the third floor and you elevator goes up to the second floor only this is where you check in then you have to walk upstairs to get to the third floor. I'm getting a little older to be dragging my luggage upstairs. Also, the other downsize is the parking is offsite a couple blocks away in a public parking garage so you have to walk back-and-forth which ain't the end of the world but if it was winter time it wouldn't be good. it does cost I think around 3.50 a day to park in the garage which ain't that bad. They do give you two $10 vouchers for breakfast at a restaurant which is a couple stores down which was nice since the restaurant in the hotel was closed. I tried to get two more vouchers for the second day we were there, but the lady behind the desk was kind of rude and said she would go broke if she handed out that many vouchers. if we stayed in the area again, I think we would try a different hotel just because of the parking situation and going up the stairs. I'm glad we stayed there once the hotel is in an old building which is pretty cool.!
