    Chicken Teriyaki bowl
    Ailin J.

For a easy yummy teriyaki chicken bowl on Cwru campus made quickly and has large portions, Kenko is for you. I do feel that their flavoring has decreased a little and that could be improved but also we can request more sauce ourselves so that's not a problem.

Before I go on with this review, I just want to point out that Kung Fu Tea has a separate business listing so please review those guys there. I see a handful of Kung Fu Tea reviews on here which doesn't belong. Anyways, been here several times already and can honestly say that the food and service is consistent every time! Appetizers I have tried are Onion Soup and Gyoza. Side orders I have tried are Shrimp Tempura and Brown Rice. Sushi that I have tried are Little Delicious Roll, Spider Roll, Ohio Roll, and Kenko Roll. The Teriyaki I have gotten the 3 item option of Shrimp, Chicken, and Beef. The Onion Soup($1.95) is basically Miso Soup with crispy fried onions which is what exactly it tastes like. Pretty good if you like onions. The Gyoza($4.95) on the menu it says it's a shrimp pot sticker but on my receipt is says chicken. Whatever it is, it's just your basic steamed pot sticker that is pan fried on one side. Tastes good especially when you dip it in the gyoza sauce that comes with it. The Shrimp Tempura($2) was a bit disappointing. The one I got was definitely not fresh for it wasn't even lukewarm. At least it was a little bit crispy but the fact that it was obviously not freshly cooked was a major turn off and will probably not order again. The Brown Rice($1.50) is a good alternative to white rice. Same flavor but healthier for you. The Little Delicious Roll($13.95), Spicy Tuna, Imitation Crab, Cream Cheese, Avocado, and Cucumber. Lightly fried and then topped with Spicy Mayo and Eel Sauce. There's nothing little about this roll. Tastes best as soon as it is served to you. Had some leftovers for breakfast, was good but did not taste as good when it was freshly made. The Spider Roll($11.95), Soft Shell Crab, Radish Sprout, Avocado, and Cucumber. Topped with Wasabi Mayo and Eel Sauce. This roll was just ok. I have had better Spider Rolls elsewhere. The Ohio Roll($10.95), Shrimp, Imitation Crab, Avocado, Cucumber, and Asparagus. Topped with Wasabi Mayo. What made this roll stand out is the asparagus. It was decent. The Kenko Roll($12.95) Shrimp Tempura, Imitation Crab, Cucumber, Avocado, and Cream Cheese. Wrapped in Soy Paper with Miso Glaze. This roll has good flavor and is just as good served after refrigeration. The common theme for all these rolls is that they contain most of the same ingredients except for 1 or 2 items. My favorites are the Kenko and Litlle Sushi Roll. The Teriyaki Bowl($13.95 for 3 items) this is the price for 3 items on their menu but on my receipt it says $15.95 plus $2 each for Shrimp and Beef which doesn't make any sense. Of course I opted for all 3 meats. Comes with veggies and white or brown rice. I opted for no rice, just all veggies. I added sauteed mushrooms one time for an extra $1.50. This bowl is just big enough to satisfy your appetite. The teriyaki sauce they throw on top gives it the good flavor you expect. Service wise, when you come in, if you are wanting sushi, you order on the left side of the counter and everything else you want to order, including Kung Fu Drinks, are towards the right. Make sure you mention your sushi order when ordering other things. You pay and then they call out your name when your order is ready. Overall, I have been coming here 1 to 2 times a week as part of my dinner rotation since I am working a contract over at the the University Hospital just a block away. Will definitely miss this place once my contract is up. Yelp 2022 Review #41 892 overall

The sushi burrito is pretty cool, and highly customizable. They also sell the traditional futomaki rolls, but they're just OK. Kung Fu Tea's counter for ordering is just adjacent to Kenko if you want some bubble tea with your sushi. The parking is very good, so be prepared to park somewhere else and walk to Kenko. I ordered a sushi burrito, and one order of their rolls. The sushi burrito was huge, and the person making it for me was generous with the toppings as opposed to just giving me a bunch of rice. The sushi paired very nicely with the wintermelon milk green tea I usually get from Kung Fu Tea. I would recommend this place if you're a fan of poke bowls. The burritos are pretty much a poke bowl that is compacted to look like a extra large roll of sushi.

They were out of boba for at least half an hour more today at 315! Homemade sushi was great at 8 pieces for ~$9. Large ginger milk was about $6. Long lines almost all the time I'm in here which move at moderate speed. No dining in. No cash accepted currently.

    My daughter loves this place!

My daughter turned me on to sushi and the first time she came to visit me at work in University Circle, I brought her to Kenko. Now it's the only reason she comes to visit me at work. For $8 I get a flavorful, healthy meal that is also filling. I enjoy making my own sushi by picking my own ingredients that includes one protein, two veggies, a sauce and a topping. This most recent trip I chose spicy tuna, cucumber, and avocado topped with wasabi mayo and tempura crumbs. I also was given a small container with wasabi and fresh ginger, not the soggy, limp ginger from a store bought jar. The ginger was super spicy and the best I ever had! My daughter went vegetarian, opting for tofu as her protein, rolled with cucumber and avocado, topped with yum yum sauce and fried onions. She also got bubble tea and tried something different each time we're there. Now, I know it must seem really silly, but one of my favorite things there are their chopsticks. They're mass produced and are the split apart variety, but they're very thick and unlike any other kind I've used. I found them easy to handle, making eating a little less frustrating for this midwestern klutz. There are some great menu options, including poke bowls ($11) and soups (miso and onion for example, at $1.95). I really enjoy coming here, especially seeing how happy it makes my daughter!

This place is so unique and so delicious. Our hotel was walking distance, when we decided to stop on in. It's a BYO sushi / teriyaki bowl / poke place!! The ingredients go on and on.. yet all so fresh. You walk in, and it's like a core-life eatery, or chipotle per say. We decided to order on the kiosk. I got the teriyaki shrimp bowl with extra veggies. My fiancé got the chicken teriyaki bowl with extra mushrooms. The portion sizes were huge! We both got the bowls with udon noodles (plus!!!!!!!) they were so good. I loved that you could choose what kind of rice / noodle. We got extra yum yum sauce, too. Food was piping hot. We both loved it had broth on the bottom... which we slurped right up lol. Also can't forget all of the bubble tea flavors and milk tea and milk slushees. I got a pomelo tea, which was kind of like grapefruit. Good amount of sweetness. Don't skip out on this place. Staff also very friendly.

Came here to make some copies. They don't even have a Xerox. False advertising.

Came here to make some photocopies. They don't even do that. So why are they called Kinko's? False advertising. One of the most popular sushi places in Eastern Cleveland. Definitely Americanized to a large degree, but not as shockingly overpriced as a lot of sushi places. I've had it as take out as part of a large group at a little get together a little while back, and it was good. We went here to have a sit down lunch a couple of months ago - since she is obsessed with sushi and I'm, well, tolerant of it at best - and there were no tables to sit at! The line was literally out the door, not just for sushi, but for the bubble tea at KFT (which Kenko shares the building with) that I wanted to get for us to share. She'd never tried KFT before. With lines this long, the sushi must be even better than I remember. We didn't stay, and instead I took her for her first Hot Sauce Williams experience... five stars! Nevertheless, this is a very solid sushi spot, and try the Lemon Black Tea with Tapioca. This review was not as Kenky as my reviews usually are.

This place is conveniently connected to Kung Fu Tea. Boba and sushi always pair well together, so why not? I think their rolls are on the smaller end and a bit pricey when you consider the portions. I stick with their sushi burritos and poke bowls which are a much better deal. Their sushi burritos and poke bowls are good in that there are plenty if toppings to choose from. I like that they have mango and asparagus as an option (I don't usually see places offer them). Overall, this place is for you if you're looking to get a quick and easy meal.

Bubbles are becoming tough, no texture. Jujube tea is always too sweet, I wish they could sub the water with tea for the balance.

Sushi En is pretty casual, so you don't have to worry about being under dressed, which is a nice option for places in this area. In addition, the prices are very reasonable. Given their location, they could easily charge more, so I really appreciate the fact that they don't. My go-to is the California combo, a traditional Cali roll, a spicy Cali roll, plus soup or salad. If I am really hungry, I'll order one California roll plus a Chicken Hibachi Bowl. If you are more adventurous when it comes to your meals, go with the Drunken Tiger roll. Their edamame is also very good. I typically make reservations, but anytime I'm there, people always seem to be walking in and getting seated without a long wait. Sushi En is my favorite spot in this area. You will not be disappointed!

I had to add more to my parking because I already saw how slow the service was but we felt bad leaving. There was a party that came in after us and didn't get any menus or greeted or anything for about 15-20 minutes so they left. Another party came and sat, ordered but then left as soon as the salads came out (I overheard something about the orders being wrong but still I felt bad the food was wasted). After the initial wait (where we bussed our own menus, dishes and napkins) everything else actually finished in an appropriate time period where the whole dinner took about 1.5 hours. I tried the beef bulgogi, seafood stir fry, soft shell crab app and the calamari app. The calamari was pretty frozen tasting, the bimbimbap wasn't very good due to the strange ground chicken, the bulgogi was actually decent but came with two raw baby carrots (old and wrinkled) and raw broccoli which was odd. We had to ask for sauce for the poke and it basically was a salad with raw fish on top... not super impressed overall especially since we have to pay for parking. Seafood stir fry barely had any seafood and the noodles/sauce tasted packaged. This place is attached to the theater so it's easy for people heading to see a show but other wise I'd avoid this place. Only redeeming quality is that the owner (I think?) was very sweet. The best dish we got was the soft shell crab but even then there wasn't a lot of it.

Where else can you get all-you-can-eat sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi, and other appetizers for under 30 bucks? I went here for dinner, and for $28.99, I got a whole lot of sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi scallops, shumai, strawberry ice cream, etc. Everything was delicious. The sashimi tasted great, and the sushi rolls were filling, though thankfully, Kintaro doesn't go too heavy on the rice. I thought the hibachi scallops were better than a lot of non-AYCE hibachi restaurants. They were tender and flavorful, and if I wasn't absolutely stuffed from the sashimi and sushi, I would have gotten another order of scallops. Like always, the service was great, and the staff was friendly. Our server frequently checked up on us and refilled our waters. So glad that you can still get a reasonably priced, delicious, and beyond filling meal here, even during these times of economic uncertainty.

Everything tasted fine, so we just assumed it was a communication issue. So we came back, this time it had a quarter of the menu and the quality took a sharp dive. Pretty amazing since it had been less than a week. Most of the menu was missing, our waiter seemed clueless, nice but clueless. I've never been to a hotpot that didn't have quail eggs all day. All the grill meat came out frozen, the cuts were thin and bad. The green peppers tasted like the blade that cut them, dry and metallic. I don't know that was way too wild a swing in quality we won't be back. We can't win with hotpot in Ohio it seems, for how much hotpot is in the US, I expect better than this. Kpot is still the worst but this last time at Kintaro is up there. Guess I'm looking for another hotpot place. It was clean and organized, the floor is in bad shape in the dining area but other than that it didn't feel dirty or unkempt.
