I got a stray cat that both parents were feral and this 3-4 week old kitten showed up in my doorstep in early May. I called for an appointment to make sure it was healthy and no parasites, the earliest appointment was in September and then they put a $50 hold on my credit card in case I cancelled. Some people may not be able to keep money tied up on their credit card for months. The kitten is still playing rough with teeth and claws so I really need it checked and its shots sooner than later. 4 months to get an appointment is unacceptable. My dog got porcupine quills in her nose and they wouldn't even see her, I had to drive to Augusta.

Later they merged with Hometown Vet and are just a few minutes closer to us in Fairfield, but we have stayed with them rather than checking around again with local vets because we like them. We worked with them to get our oldest cat, who was diagnosed with diabetes, set with a regime of insulin and proper eating, and he has is still doing well at 15 years old. Of course the victors can be expensive, especially with multiple cats, but I have never felt they have either overcharged or recommended work to pad the bill. They do seem to have problems filling prescriptions when you pick them up at an outside pharmacy, ; not sure why.

The day of return she was very aggressive with the dog, pulling him kicking him with her rubber farmer's boots to keep him from jumping up on her, not enough to make him yelp, but it was enough to make us awkwardly uncomfortable. My husband was jumping out of his skin so much so he offered to take the dog. She wouldn't let us touch him. She treated the dog and us so badly, barking out her commands, making us feel terrible. It worked - she is very vindictive. She sent unprovoked videos and pictures of him once he was returned. The same evening, the following day. My heart. She pulled at our heart strings using 1 of our grandson's and the rest of the family. We did miss him, our family missed him - she offered him back to us on more than one occasion and when we felt heartbroken enough we took her up on her offers and tried to get him back thru communications- she put us through hell and actually stated that we wouldn't have the health guarantee on the puppy any longer, crazy right. She wouldn't let us go get him and bring him back. I have never seen someone act this way and actually take pleasure in a really lousy situation. One she caused. We have never been treated so disrespectful and have never come across someone so unprofessional. Angelica does not like to put things in writing. I had her commitment - we wanted a mini, we bought a mini, he was not a mini. She insisted my vet was wrong still saying he was going to be 23 lbs. The only reason why she refunded the "purchase price" of dog, it was determined very early on that he was not a mini and it was in writing . We took great care of him and lost $1200 in vet cost alone. That doesn't count all the personal items. My husband is 70 years old has two fractures in his back and I've had two back surgeries. She knew this. We lost our 5 pound Yorkie two days before Christmas. So 25 lbs give or take was okay with us. He was just about that at 4.5 months. Please don't buy any responses to this review. I know her husband responded to one review and said it was slander, but he never said as much as a sentence to us. I wish I could post all the chain of events. All the positive reviews is the same language I have heard from her as well. I am on social media look me up Linda Rios 25 years breeding, no excuses. Where are all the + reviews. If she was honest from the beginning we wouldn't be where we are today. We ate crow and still gave her the chance to do the right thing. She would've made her money and we would've got the dog back. No, we were not going to override the health guarantee. But we still lost a lot of $. He had a great home. He had a good temperament, he was crazy but we stocked that up too being a puppy. My mother was on the Board of the ASPCA back in they day so I always had a love for animals growing up. Never knew I had to cut my cats nails. Never had to when I growing up and all of my cats were fine. Brought my cat here and they accused me of animal abuse and said they would adopt the cat from me. I was beyond insulted and stopped bringing my cats here. I brought them to another Vet and was told I didn't nothing wrong. Your cats should be able to keep their nails short by scratching posts etc, which I have, but sometimes it doesn't help. The new Vet made me feel at ease. My mother (sometimes she brought him to appt) and I were also accused of putting my Pug in a hot car because of the anxiety he would get going to the Vet each time. I always cool off the car before putting them in and know to never leave a dog or any animal in a hot car during a warm day. I get that you have to be aware of some Vet owners but we had been coming to this place for years. With all our cats and dogs. I'm glad I left and found Lisbon Road. They are fantastic!!
