I commented to my son that the chicken pieces looked like they were Shake 'N Bake coated. The seasoning was pretty good, though not the 11 herbs & spices of KFC, but way better than Tex*s bland chicken from down the street. The coating stayed crunchy all the way home. $13 for 10 piece drumsticks & thighs is not a bad deal and the pieces are decent sized. I can confirm that their fried chicken was so crispy and delicious it beats that other place with the initial K, F, and C. Not my thing when i came to eat a place that has fried chicken in its name and it is their signature food. A let down. I only ordered the burger without any sides. and the grumpy man overcharged me $8 for just one burger. Normally I wouldn't complain but the patty was very thin, burnt and rubbery. as well as the bacon even though he just put the uncooked bacon on the grill. Plus the cook wasn't attentive to my meal (burnt) Which was also the only meal he had to prepare. I feel like the cook does not like his job, he doesn't prepare his food with love. Chicken was nice and warm and tasty, although I did ask for a bbq sauce which I never got, thank God for my well stacked 'doomsday prepper' inventory, so I had my own bbq sauce. I came in about 8pm. There are about 4 customers. So why is it so dirty? Half the tables are dirty and you can tell its been sitting there. There were 2 cashiers when I approached. One of them you can tell does not like people. She saw me approach and turned around walked off and pretended to look for something. The whole time she looked lost and only went back to register after the other cashier called me over. The food was pretty good which surprised me with the experience I was having. One of the reasons I'm even giving this 3 stars is because the second cashier was nice and remembered my custom preferences to my order. She really should find another place she is too good for this one. Wish I could remember her name. The rest of crew just look like they want to avoid customers as much as possible. I've worked in a retail environment for a long time and I have a good standard on how things should be. I don't know how this place stays open.
