Corner of Northern Blvd & Main St

This Kennedy Fried Chicken has been an anchor here at the corner of Main St and Northern Blvd. It's been in continuous operation for decades with the exception of when they made the news, when a tour bus crashed into them in 2017. https://ny.eater.com/2017/9/18/16326806/flushing-bus-crash-nyc-kennedy-fried-chicken They were closed for a few months, but they came back better than ever. We always joked about it, but deep down, we always wanted to try their chicken and we finally did. The chicken is halal and it's fried in a pressure fryer similar to how the Colonel does it. While we were waiting for our order, they brought out a whole sheet pan of chicken to load in the fryer behind the cash register. I commented to my son that the chicken pieces looked like they were Shake 'N Bake coated. The seasoning was pretty good, though not the 11 herbs & spices of KFC, but way better than Tex*s bland chicken from down the street. The coating stayed crunchy all the way home. $13 for 10 piece drumsticks & thighs is not a bad deal and the pieces are decent sized. The fries and onion rings are nothing special, just fried up frozen. Our onion rings were undercooked though and tasted doughy. The menu is a lot more extensive than you might think. They serve burgers, fish & chicken sandwiches, halal chicken rice platters and even pizza. The lamb meat pizza looks interesting enough to try next time.

I've seen this place since HS! And it's still here decades later. Must be doing something right, right? I can confirm that their fried chicken was so crispy and delicious it beats that other place with the initial K, F, and C. And you can't beat the prices and the fact that it's just a tiny little mom and pop place. Go have some delicious, extra crispy skin, fried chicken. Seasoned just right. That's why they're still here at least 4 decades later.

Fish sandwich was nice and tasty. Lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo. Good prices. Satisfied my hunger.

Owned by John F and Robert F (they sound like yelpers, are they?), this is a Middle Eastern place selling fried chicken. It's an underrated place with really delicious Fried Chicken that is much better than KFC. Yes of course the employees are not particularly friendly depending on who you get and what time you go, but are you really going to complain about that at a cheap and delicious place like this at 3 in the morning? I personally I'm glad that it exists. But you don't want to make a habit out of eating here considering how unhealthy it is. If it has closed down in the weeks since I last stopped here, then that is sad.

    Hair on French Fries

Everything was halal besides the strand of hair in my fries. The place is ok for a quick meal, as long as your expectations are not too high.

It was my first time here. I think like the phrase one night stand .. this is a one night sandwich..just eat one time and never again. I wanted to buy a sandwich as there are barely to no sandwich stores in the vicinity I take the bus to work. So I didn't have high expectations as I didn't come in here by a recommendation. I am disappointed with my experience. First the false advertising, on the glossy paper menu packets they had on front display, the sandwich price was 5.50 , but payment it was 5.99 w tax close to 6.50. It's fine i think it's just some cents. I get my hero and I notice it is huge. I was debating only eating half and saving the rest for later but when I opened the sandwich it was 80 percent bread and vegetables and small tender of chicken.. the chicken was on the dry side and no flavor other than fried batter . It had no spices or specialty flavor. The sauce they used was like plain mayo and ketchup. It was like the whopper junior flavor sauce. Not my thing when i came to eat a place that has fried chicken in its name and it is their signature food. A let down. The worker doing delivery inside unpacking boxes was nice and attentive to me so I gave this place 3 not 2 stars. The food isnt terrible it's just that I can get better food for six dollars and fifty cents in this area. I probably am going to try other food here and maybe update possibly I don't know.

Delicious Halal fried chicken. Been coming here since I was in Junior High School. The place has been updated recently so everything is new and the place is clean. Prices are reasonable especially compared to KFC and Popeyes.

I stopped by with the kids on the weekend, simply because we can have the fried chicken and the French fries at the same time here, which was impossible at the Kentucky Fried Chicken. The inside dinning space was limited, and only allows about 10 people dinning in. The staffs were friendly and the service was quick. As for the chicken, it was deeply fried so the oil under the skin was all gone. And the flavor was OK to me. But my son claimed that he would prefer the original recipe chicken served by the other KFC. Well, next time I'd come back alone. :)

I love their hamburgers and fries. Fried chicken is pretty good too. If you're looking for healthy food, go somewhere else.

I probably could have order a regular Ori Emo but I was feeling ambitious after my workout. Outside of the emoji on the bun, there wasn't anything unique about the burger. However, this was a good burger. It absolutely hit the spot, even if I couldn't finish it. A definite recommend if you're looking for a good but simple burger.
