I've been going to Dr. Hamletts/La Mastra's office since I was six years old. I'm now 34, and after this experience, I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. In 2023, I chipped my front tooth and came in for repair. I was told I had two options: bonding or a veneer. The office advised me to go with the veneer, saying it was the better long-term solution and, with my insurance, only a few hundred dollars more. I even brought in the broken piece so they could use it as a mold for a perfect match -- which they assured me they would. I paid $2,500 out of pocket, was told insurance would reimburse around $1,000, and they filed my tooth down that very day. Two months later, I found out my insurance didn't cover the veneer at all. At that point, it was too late to choose bonding -- my real tooth was already completely filed down. I was stuck. To make matters worse, when the veneer was finally placed, it wasn't even based on the mold of my original tooth! They must have lost it -- and didn't bother to mention that. For the amount I paid, I expected at least a veneer that resembled my original smile. Fast forward to today: the veneer they put in has already chipped. I called the office and was told it would cost $800 to temporarily fix it. I sent in a photo as requested and followed up, only to be completely ghosted. This office is the definition of unprofessional and unethical. What they did was essentially a bait-and-switch. They quoted one thing, delivered another, and offered zero accountability. Dr. La Mastra and his team will nickel-and-dime you for everything -- including their own mistakes. Save your time, money, and teeth. There are plenty of honest, competent dentists in Dallas. This is not one of them. read more

Dr. La Mastra is the BEST dentist I have ever been to! My father was a dentist/ortho so I am picky where I go for my teeth and my children's needs. Dr. La Mastra is pickier than me! He is a perfectionist and will make sure your smile is beautiful. Dr. La Mastra improved my smile and bite with Invisalign at 58 years old and I'm glad I did since it will also help the health of my gums, my daughter is currently in Invisalign, it was so easy to get started with her. My other child had bonding to improve her smile. The office is very clean, welcoming and comfortable. Everyone who works there is sooooo friendly, they will put you in a good mood no matter how your day is going. I came to Texas 11 years ago and have been using Dr. Hamlett ever since. He has done extensive work in my mouth including restoration after having implant. I am not an easy patient to work on since I have a fear of dentist. Dr. Hamlett and his staff have always taken this into account and handled me with extra care and compassion. Please stay away from here! I went to get porcelain veneer (more than $1000)on my front tooth where I had a root canal and 1 year later my 18month daughter said "blue tooth" The porcelain veneer had turned blue and my friend who is a dentist stayed that he had put a "cap" on my tooth and not a porcelain veneer. However when I went back they kept on saying it was a porcelain veneer and because I had a root canal if needed to be a ceramic veneer and it would cost more to replace it (more that $1000). Why didn't they do this in the first place!?!? They didn't care to assist except by opening up their company. They seem like they just want your money. Dr Hamlet and staff is very nice with good bedside manner, however I would have appreciate honesty. read more

I've been going to Dr. Hamlett since I left my pediatric dentist, so around 20 years, and I'm actually fourth generation to go to see him (and no, he's not that old, lol, my great-grandmother saw him at the end of her life). Dr. Hamlett and everyone in his office are so nice and friendly. I always hear people talk about how much they hate going to the dentist, but I always enjoy it. If you go in the morning they offer coffee when you arrive, in the afternoon a glass of wine is offered. Then, when you go back to get your teeth cleaned, there is a massage pad in the chair to help you relax, plus you can listen to a walkman, if you don't have your own mp3 player, of course. They prefer assigning you the same dental hygienist every visit and I don't know if the they make notes to remember the little details about your life, or if they just have wonderful memories, but they always inquire about my family and other things that were going on in my life at the time of my last check-up. This is the type of place you always want to return. read more

As good as it gets for Dental care! I have been going here for YEARS and always have a good experience. Everyone knows what they are doing, and I feel comfortable letting them hold sharp objects in my mouth It is a bit pricey, but I never go for the "good deals" when it comes to dentists. They always do a great cleaning job and have music for me to listen to while they are working (and massage chair to relax). I never feel pushed to upgrade or get dental work I do not need. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Hamlett and his crew to anyone! read more

Dr Hamlett has been my dentist for many years. Before I found him I was petrified to seek even cleaning due to traumatic experiences from my youth. I trust him and his staff with all my dental needs. I have quarterly cleaning since getting veneers which took 10 years off my smile. He has done crowns and some implants. I am currently in Central America for an extended stay and decided to contact the office for some work when I come for my next cleaning. Though other dentists had told me it couldn't be done and veneers were required, Dr. Hamlett and RDA Stephany, skillfully worked to rebuild my smile. The results far exceeding expectations. ATMOSPHERE: The constellation of super bowl stars earned by the team begins when you enter the front door into Hamlett's well crafted theatre. The collectable art, décor and music throughout the office transcends "guests" into a feeling of being in a dream world where good things happen. I was having difficult cosmetic work performed so pleased to see the Dr. had an eye for fine art and aesthetics. RECEPTION/BUSINESS: Parker knows how to greet her guests and showed a lot of grace and professionalism handling an apprehensive patient with poor prior experiences at the DDS office. CLEANING BY DH: Having my teeth cleaned by DH, Cindy, was like a cub being cradled by a mother bear. While she is performing her craft, she's distracting you with soothing words and genuine interest of her patient grasping how to better take care of their teeth between visits. DR. HAMLETT: I believe there are some people and places Our Maker spent more time creating. Dr. Hamlett's understated warm Southern manner is not representative of most Masters of craft, particularly Doctors. He took a talent bestowed in him and I believe, was dead set on working every day towards being the worlds best Dentist with the greatest Team in the finest theatre.
