We thought all was well, the owner John Quinn assured us the dog would be removed permanently, but that wasn't true. My girl experienced trauma from the attack and I didn't want a reoccurrence so we had to withdraw her from attending. We just recently tried to take her to another facility, but unbeknownst to us she was removed from the system. Now the process has to start from scratch because the facility manager at Plainfield will not communicate with another facility to validate my girl. I don't want to speak ill of the situation, but my rating speaks for itself. My girl deserved better!

On my puppy she said her heart sounded great and I trust her!! My puppy came out of the vets office with a sample bag, her first puppy shot, and with a wagging tail. Dr Maria sees all of my 12 dogs. I show in obedience, conformation and nosework and I am very picky. Dr Maria gets super high marks from me on everything, but mostly, in trust. Her supporting staff from vet tech to front desk is top notch and always very nice. To add the icing on the cake the price at the end of the visit is pretty much what I expected, I'm never surprised by a huge number I wasn't prepared for. Nowadays, it seems regular vets charge emergency prices, but not this hospital. I highly recommend.

I was hesitant to bring my dog here, especially after reading a particularly horrifying review (see one left by CristinaChee on GoogleReviews 2mo ago! She was Totally Right- and the fact that nothing has changed is Very Alarming). The employees just don't seem to care (other than charging you ridiculous fees for simple tasks that they may or may not actually do, e.g., you will book/pay for a nature walk but they will be slow to (or never) post or send photos of actually doing it, really cranky/bad attitudes when you dare to ask too!). They are seriously THE most unhappy looking bunch of people to work at a doggydaycare, it's pretty shocking and pathetic. No one says hello or greets the dogs in a friendly way- and similar to what Cristina described if something goes wrong, NO ONE will contact you!!! They are surly and defiant (and again LAZY) and will lie to your face, zero apology whatsoever. The woman who claims to be the manager is terrible- not friendly at all, comes across as super grumpy, and is on a power trip, verrrry arrogant. I've asked her to contact me about an issue, no phonecall or email reply at all. As they say, crap flows from above- so once you meet her, you are no longer surprised that her workers are similar to her and really, really bad! I really hope there is someone above her/an owner who can actually effect real positive change/replace her and/or them. It's a shame because the daycare's activities sound good online (what attracted me initially) but they're ill equipped and don't do a good job implementing them- like for a costume day they have no props etc on hand (what dog daycare has no fun props/makes zero effort) and when painting while some dogs might have 3 pawprints on their final artwork, another might have half a print, because again the workers are lazy as all get out. Mind you you're paying like $30 dollars EACH for all of this, walks, lick plates, etc.- the LEAST these jokers could do is complete these BEYOND SIMPLISTIC tasks & take care of our beloved pets while doing so. They seem to think they can get away with the "I seem young so it's okay nowadays to be lazy and attitude-y" - umm, think again? We customers don't have to put up w/ it! And fortunately there are PLENTY of other pet daycares that actually care and don't gouge you price-wise. Try and give a darn and care and DO BETTER. I have a very special little dog who…read moreneeds a lot of training and attention to help overcome her behavioral challenges and they not only understood what to do immediately, we've been making steady progress since we first met everyone. The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

I brought my dog here for a follow up (from a previous urgent care visit (different facility) 2…read moreweeks earlier) because he had a ruptured anal gland. I called this clinic to make an appointment and the lady was very nice to me and I was able to get him in....because my dog is a new patient she did explain that there would be a $50 deposit to hold the appointment...I had no problem with that because I found out that it does go toward the final bill of the visit. So, the appointment was set for 10:30...they do expect you to arrive 10 min early....I was actually 15 min early but when I brought him in, they were already expecting him....which I totally appreciated the prompt check in. They checked his weight and escorted us right into the exam room. Kylie (the vet tech) was so sweet! She was so professional and Rocky was very comfortable with her handling him! And Dr. Noyes was great too! She was very knowledgeable and had no problem answering my questions. Checking out was easy and the ladies at the front desk were very nice and proficient. I'm looking forward to bringing my dog here for all of his healthcare needs.

*FOLLOW-UP* More…read moredisappointment from this clinic--and, frankly, more questions about their judgment and ethics. I received the attached letter terminating me as a client, with my negative review explicitly cited as the reason. So, to be clear: rather than addressing the concerns I raised about how my dog was handled, the clinic's response was to fire me as a client because I exercised my right to leave an honest review. What is even more troubling is that the clinic returned my $80 payment for the post-rabies observation. That raises a very obvious question: If the clinic was genuinely concerned enough about an alleged bite to require a rabies observation, why would they suddenly decide they no longer need to perform that observation? Wouldn't the clinic have an interest in completing the observation themselves--particularly for the safety and reassurance of the staff member who allegedly sustained the bite? Instead, they returned my money and terminated me as a client. That is a remarkable resolution to a situation the clinic itself characterized as serious enough to require rabies observation. For context, I brought my dog to this clinic for a routine nail trim. He was taken to the back without anyone asking me about his temperament, behavior, or how he should be handled. Approximately 15 minutes later, he was returned to me with none of his nails trimmed, and I was told that he had allegedly bitten a veterinary technician and therefore required a 10-day rabies observation. This was particularly concerning because the same clinic had administered his rabies vaccination only six months earlier. I did exactly what a responsible pet owner should do: I questioned what happened, expressed my concerns, and shared my experience publicly. Apparently, that was unacceptable to the clinic. Clients should not have to choose between remaining in good standing with a veterinary practice and being honest about their experience. A negative review is not misconduct. It is feedback. If a clinic's response to criticism is to terminate the client rather than address the underlying concerns, that speaks volumes. And now, by returning the observation fee after previously presenting the observation as necessary, the clinic has created even more questions about how this entire situation was handled. I stand by my review. In fact, receiving a termination letter because I left it has only reinforced my concerns and made this experience considerably more disappointing than it was to begin with.
