Purchased a 2022 ford explorer feom the dealership had issues with the breaks was told it was a temporary issue feom the car sitting on the lot...after persistent calls was told we would have to pay 350.00 inspection fee for them to look it over .....asked for the safety inspection completed on the vehicle ..they were unable to provide the inspection .... they did agree to look at it at that point and found the brake system was faulty ...the fixed the one issue however another issue began after that work was completed.... but claim the vehicle is safe the service and sales department agree they hear the issue however it is safe and are not willing to follow through with any additional resolution for the new issue because their code machine doesn't show any issues and there are no lights on. The new issue is have been told by a tire show is mostly like to be an issue feom the brake lines not being bled correctly read more

If I could give a zero stars I would, I bought a ford escape from them in 2024 and within 5 hours of me leaving the lot the check engine light came on. I immediately call and schedule an appointment for it to be fixed. I bought a warranty in good faith no lights were on and the car drove fine when I test drove it. First I was told that the ignition coil was the problem. They replaced it as they should have. Well not even a week later the same check engine light came on throwing the same code. That led to them telling me I had coolant leaking onto my cylinders and my head gasket was blown. Which led to an entire engine replacement which they stated that they were not going to cover it due to it being a known ford problem. Again I had a warranty which stated it covered engine and transmission and electrical repairs down to certain parts. 6 weeks of waiting and arguing it finally the engine was replaced . Around 5-6 months later I started having a shutter problem around 30-50 miles per hour and a hard vibration problem while going up hills sometimes. I have took it to their shop multiple occasions just to be told nothing is wrong with my car. Well the last time I took it in a technician rode with me and felt the shutter and the vibration for a minimal second and then the shop foreman rode with me for another test drive and felt the shutter also and I was told by him to make an appointment and they would check the transmission fluid and they would go from there. Well I took it to them and was once again got told the famous word hey we drove it and we can't replicate it. I asked about them checking the transmission fluid and they stated they couldn't because of it not having a dipstick. I furthermore requested it to be sent to ford as they stated they would if I wanted it too and instead I was told that I could come get it and take it myself so at that point I went and picked it up took it to ford. Reminder the lady I spoke to told me the technician said I should wait till it's happening more often instead of throwing money at it now at ford. Well I'm sure glad I did take it and throw money at ford because not even a day of being at ford they said it needs a new transmission. So all that being said I wouldn't recommend buying anything from this place. Also was never offered a loaner vehicle. The customer satisfaction and treatment is absolute garbage. read more

We purchased a brand new 2025 Chevrolet Equinox from Kenny Kent Chevrolet on February 3, 2026. The very night we purchased the vehicle, the OnStar system would not connect. The salesperson attempted to activate it before we left the dealership and could not get it to work. We were told to contact OnStar support once we got home, which we did multiple times without resolution. We even drove the vehicle back to the dealership on a Saturday (an hour and a half away) to try to resolve the issue, but nothing was fixed. That same night after returning home, the vehicle battery died and had to be jump started. On March 2 the vehicle was taken to another dealership for service and it has now been out of our possession for weeks with no diagnosis or timeline for repair. We have also been completely without transportation during this time. We currently have an open case with GM Customer Assistance and have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. We are simply hoping dealership management or Chevrolet corporate can help get this situation resolved as quickly as possible. read more

About 2 weeks ago I purchased a Nesion Rouge 2017 at Kenny Kent Dealership in Evansville, Indiana. My sales person was Mr. Nick Byers, who was extremely knowledgeable about the car business. I'm 76 years old and I have dealt with a lot of car salesmen and I have to say that Mr. Byers treated me with kindness and respect and made me feel at ease as I was a little nervous. He asked me what I was looking for and I said I would like an SUV or a Van. Well the first thing he showed me was exactly what I was needing. It was Nesion Rouge 2017. The price was right and it was loaded. It drives like a dream, has Weather Tec mates front and rear. It's 4-door and has good leg room in the back. The process only took a couple of hours and both Mr. Byers and his Manager called me later and Thanked me for my business and if I needed anything or had any questions they would be more than happy to help me. I'm here to tell you that I have never been treated like that. I was very impressed with their customer service. I purchased a vehicle on 1/23 with the expectation that the radio would be fixed (i paid a higher price for the vehicle to have it fixed). It took a month to fix and it's not even fully fixed. The vehicle was not properly cleaned upon purchase. Barely any gas( overheard another customer purchasing a vehicle and the comment was made about them getting a full tank, congratulations to y'all) During my purchase I was told I was being given (as in for free) a 6mos warranty (which is needed, no doubt) because they "care about their customers, their reputation and don't want me to feel like I'm alone". However, I was charged for it, when inquired about the matter, staff denied ever saying that even though there were 2 other witnesses that heard it. GM Matt Elpers reached out via email and when I responded with my complaints/concerns he never responded. I had tried to contact Justin Hicks and have yet to receive a response. I purchased a Nissan Armada when I turn the car on, it displays the Infiniti logo while the tvs display the Nissan logo, it would be nice for it to all be uniform, instead of mix and match. Especially since I paid for the repair to happen. Not sure I would purchase a vehicle from here again and most likely would not recommend. Kenzi from internet sales has been wonderful and Josh my sales guy was decent. Well everything started out ok. They had the car we wanted and the price was good. This was a remote purchase so they sent plenty of picture and one of them showed some damage to a fender. It wasn't a deal breaker so I asked if they could just put some touch up paint on it. Callie responded: "I just talked to James, he said that we would be able to touch up the paint for you." Great! We were all set. The documents were overnighted and as I was signing them there was a charge for $399.00 for Zaktek Interior Protection Option. This option had NEVER been discussed. I have never bought any extra protection plan in my life so I crossed it out and emailed James (the salesperson) explaining that I didn't appreciated something being snuck in there and I wasn't going to pay for it. He repeatedly told me it was not an option and that all cars HAD TO HAVE IT. He even said: "You can either purchase the vehicle with the $399.00 or not purchase the vehicle. I can't get around it if I purchased the vehicle myself." I looked at that paperwork again and it clearly states: "Zaktek is not a requirement for the purchase of this vehicle". I emailed the general manager and said the sale was off. Low and behold, I was contacted by my salesperson that they still had to sell it with the package but they would knock $399.00 off the purchase price. Ok, whatever it takes to save face let's just get this deal done. I had the car shipped to my house and of course when it arrive there had been ZERO touchup work done has promised. I can't say I was surprised. I emailed both Callie and James and of course received no response as to why it wasn't done as promised. This place is shady and James is a dishonest salesperson. This place sold me a car with issues under warranty and then did not fix those issues or provide any resolution. Tim Keith and Matt Elpers, the managers, did nothing to assist and are clearly running a bad business. They claim to provide an excellent customer experience online, but have proven to be the complete opposite. Great job getting me in for service on short notice. The alignment job noticeably improved my ride quality, handling and steering after I refreshed the suspension. I am pleased with the quality of the work, and I would recommend this service department to anyone with a Chevrolet. Unfortunately I had to return for an adjustment a few days later because the steering wheel was not straight. It takes attention to detail and a test drive post-alignment to get this right the first time. I would have rated 5 stars if I could have gotten back in the shop with an earlier appointment and a more timely repair that did not keep my car most of the day. This is an active shop with lots of vehicles moving through, so I may have received the best service i could expect from this type of business. I purchased a used Certified Car recently. The auto had a chip in the windshield that had not been repaired. I purchased an extended warranty and was told it would cover everything. I travel extensively and they knew that. When the vehicle did have a problem I was told I would have to pay $100 to have it repaired with the warranty I had already purchased because I did not go to there dealership where it was purchased. The biggest error occurred when they did not charge me enough sales tax. When I went to get my license plates transferred I owed an additional $3000. So my father helped to get me a great rate on a new car - he picked it out and helped with a down payment for me for my bday. My mother has a Chevy cruise from the same dealership and I was told it would have the same basic functions. ( back up cam, electric windows, ac, etc). It's a brand new 2018 Cruz Initially I was very excited till I realized the cruise control was non existent. Initially I thought that I just wasn't seeing it -given it's a new car and I hadn't had a chance to get familiar yet. I called the dealership and they told me to bring it. When I got there they informed me that there was no cruise control on my brand new 2018 Chevy Cruz. #whatthefuck. When I asked the salesman if he had told my elderly father that there was no cruise control on the vehicle when checking the car out- he said he just "thought" he knew. I told him that the expectation is typically that the car has cruise control , especially when it's brand new, the salesman, Gary, agreed with me. Still, he did not inform my 74-year-old father that the car did not come equipped with cruise control like the one he sold my mother. KNOWING THAT WE WANTED THE SAME FEATURES IN BOTH CARS. He claims my father "never asked" so he just assumed he knew. Even though THE SALESMAN agreed that the expectation was, that brand new vehicles like this come equipped with cruise control. I will be driving this car long distances - the reason we got it was mainly for the great gas mileage and the cruise control. I will be traveling back and forth from Indiana to Florida frequently. The dealership would do nothing to help. They claimed the next model available with the CC would be an additional 3000 dollars. When asked if they could equip the car with one now- they claimed they would not have the time - I leave Monday morning - to order and fit it. So now I have the option of spending an extra $300 to have it installed in florida- with a function it should have had in the first place. It's safe to say they will not be benefitting from business with my family in the coming years. And as we have purchased MANY vehicles from them - I hope they realize what they will be losing. This tells me that this car underwent little to no inspection. The car itself is not what landed this 1 star review. In fact, the 1 star review is mainly for the horrible service I was given. Prior to picking up the car, Chis made several promises that he obviously did not have intentions in keeping. When confronting Chris about what he promised to do, he ignored it and only got upset and refused to keep his "promises". Overall, I am not upset about the car, but am genuinely concerned about the fact that a company that is supposedly so devoted to customer service had a person like Chris White working for them. read more

I gave one star because it makes you do at least one. Richard was the one i spoke to the whole time our car was there getting worked on. He acted real nice and helpful at first but then he started to change. Originally we were told our car would be fixed in about 3 days (which is why we took out car here since they charge double the price of service shops everywhere else). 3 days turned into 3 weeks with very little updates, we had to constantly call and he always said he had no update for us. We were living out of town 3 hours away and it was a huge inconvenience for us to not have a car. When we finally expressed how frustrated we were the car was magically fixed in less than an hour and would be ready for pickup the next day. Then when we got to the dealership (keep in mind we drove 3 hours to pick it up) it wouldn't even start when we went to leave. They had let the battery die and it had to be jumped started. Subject: Fraudulent Charges and Unethical Practices Below is my grievance and review of my recent experience with Kenny Kent's Service Department. Please contact me if you would like to discuss the issue. WARNING!! NO UPFRONT TRANSPARENCY OF COST OF AUTO SERVICE EQUALS UNETHICAL! To avoid a "He said, she said" controversial verbal debate over auto repair services, there should be written itemized contract prior to service and in that contract notification will be given if there are other issues not on itemized contract. If you do not have a written contract before the auto service is completed then any debate will inevitably be in the auto service's favor. Also, just an interesting legal tidbit, auto mechanics can refuse to release your car until they receive a payment solely at their discretion. To give you a brief run down of my scenario on July 1, 2020, I had my 2002 Monto Carlo towed to Kenny Kent knowing the A/C compressor needed replacing and on the following day I spoke to the representative to get a price quote and momentarily agreed to a lower price option, but within a few minutes of that conversation we re-determined and agreed to hold off until they contacted D 'Patrick where the car had been diagnosed a few days prior, but D'Patrick was unable to obtain the correct compressor. Kenny Kent stated it could take a while to find and order another compressor and he also was going call D'Patrick so to be more informed about the problem of obtaining the compressor and then he was to notify me as of the outcome of the conversation. The following morning around 7:30 I called the representative's direct line and left a message to hold off on any work and I would pick up the car. I repeatedly called attempting to speak to him personally and he did not return my call until late morning and stated I could pick the car when his mechanic reassembled the parts which was a "shock" since this was not the agreement. I was told it could possibly take a week or weeks before they could get a compressor and I was to be notified. I went to retrieve my Monte Carlo that afternoon and was handed a bill for $179.00 for diagnostic charges and restocking charges for a compressor that miraculously appeared overnight. First, I did not ok any diagnostic service because the car had already be diagnosed at D'Patrick and I knew the A/C compressor needed replacing. If need, I can verify D'Patrick's diagnostic service stating the compressor needed replacing. It is very odd that between 2:00 one day and 7:30 next morning the "hard to find" compressor magically appeared which I was to pay restocking charges. The bill for $179.00 was a complete surprise and completely unfair for what I believe was "no work done." I disputed the bill and they stated I would need to pay the bill in order for them to release my car to me. Never again will I allow be taken advantage by a disreputable auto service regardless of how big the company may appear, I will insist on a written itemized contract with prices prior to any auto service. Auto services and mechanics that are reputable will have no issue with the transparency of a prior written contract. I hope my lesson learned will be a lesson to others. They took my information down, and ran my credit at 11AM. They requested they would call me back, by 2PM no call. So I reached out with no response. I contacted management at 4PM and he said he would "look into it" and didn't call me back until 5pm. HE informed me that a salesman sold the corvette to someone else. I dropped my vehicle off on 3/2 for a trim issue. I get a call a brief time later that my vehicle was done and ready for pick up. Imagine my surprise upon arrival to see that not only was the trim issue not fixed but also that my right rear passenger rim was curb rashed half of the rim. The operations mgr refused to accept responsibility and refused to pay to have the rim repaired. My vehicle was in the dealership's possession for 13 days. My wife and I just purchased a 2017 Lexus yesterday from Kenny Kent Chevrolet, after after seeing the car on line and driving 90 miles to Evansville. We had a terrific experience dealing with sales representative Roderick Sims, and the business manager. All were very professional. After making the purchase we noticed that the front dash display screen had a small bubble and was a LITTLE fuzzy on the edge. When we asked about it they looked and responded by immediately ordering a replacement unit with no push back or hesitancy. (It was under Lexus warranty). Service department was difficult to work with and tried to replace a good battery. Found negative cable needed replaced and they replaced it. Positive cable was almost corroded in to two pieces... not mentioned or replaced. Did it myself. After the oil change, which was the reason for taking car in, when I picked up the car it suddenly would barely run and I took it back to find out the head gasket was blown??? They replaced it but I do not understand how the gasket gave and spewed oil all over the engine compartment. For a full check over many items were missed and caused me to loose two full days with the car. read more

They are con artists. I traded in a car (Nissan Altima), refi'd the less than $1000, a small amount, I still owed into my current loan that is for $19K, for a 2011 Cruze obtained in 2014 that had almost 50K miles on it. I have been paying on this loan for the past 5 1/2 years. Give me my lemon back, please. Any lemon's better than this car that I can't use AC in or else it overheats. It is a 75 month term. I didn't know that existed and I thought it was a 72-month term. They lied to me and said the car had no service history issues, just maintenance was done. Bull Sh*t. I have the CarFax. The car's first owner took it back to Kenny Kent Chevy and they had to do major thermostat/gasket repairs at less than 27K miles on the car, way before I ever had it. It overheats, anyone that drives it's life is constantly in danger due to a fundamentally flawed engine. I have replaced every single part underneath the hood of the car twofold. I have been on the side of the road with a car that runs hot for the past five years countless times. I had to join AAA, and they flagged my account for needing to use them so often. They could have sold me a brand new Cruze in 2014 for less than one with almost 50K miles on it, but they wanted the old car off their lot, so they took advantage of me, a first-time car buyer. Took it there for a repair estimate and they took no responsibility for their actions. They suggested I trade it in and had me fill out a credit application, then they ran my credit without my consent! Absolutely horrendous business practices. I left the dealership because they'd sold me one piece of crap car, do you really think I'm going to buy a second one from them?! I now must blast the heat in the car instead of being able to use the AC to prevent overheating. It sucks that it's about 100 degree weather outside. Went from being someone who needs 4 wheels that get me around to now having a huge mechanical knowledge and vocabulary and I'm absolutely appalled. This car was labeled as a "Certified Pre-Owned" vehicle and should not have been labeled as such. It's junk, still not paid off, and I still owe more on it than it's worth. BEWARE. Stay away. My 2011 had a brake inspection, Kenny Kent tells me I need to replace both rotars cost of over $1000!!!! "they cannot be turned again" they told me, I stated "turned again??? They have never been turned in the 1st place, they reiterated, with stating "you must use your brakes heavily"! Called GM thinking my rotars were substandard maybe can be a warranty issue, they sent me to Henderson Chevrolet, turns out my rotars have very little ware at all , told me pads and rotars looked great ! Talked to John Torres about buy in 2015 fusion. Told him I was coming from Owensboro so I wanted to go ahead and see if we could make a deal before I drove all the way down. We made a deal for $12,000. He knew I was coming but the morning I got there he told me he sold the car the night before. Then tried to sell me a more expensive car that just happened to be parked right out front. I was more mad I spent $100 on a rental car because I planned on dropping it off and driving the car back. When I asked him why he let me drive all the way there and didn't bother texting me he sold the car, he lied and said he called and left a voice mail. I knew this was a lie and I called him out on it. The owner, if he really was the owner, came out and tried to help him sell his lie. They said they record every call in and out and could play me the recording. I said okay. They kept trying to sell me more expensive cars and after awhile I asked them if they found the recording and of course they said they couldn't find it. They then said they would send me a check for the $100 I was out on a rental car but I still haven't seen it. Also John sent me a text just before 6 p.m. the night before saying they'd be open 9-6 the next day. By the time he sent that text the car was already sold and he knew it. Everybody knows cars salesmen are lying con men, but the ones at Kenny Kent give the rest an even worse name. Made an appointment online, received a confirmation and when I arrived I was told "for future reference the website doesn't really work". First I will say I have never reviewed any dealership but I felt the need this time because innocent people don't deserve to be treated this way. We purchased a 14 Chevy Cruze from Kenny Kent from Paul Beggs. The night we drove it off of the lot the check engine light came on. We immediately called them and they told us to bring it in. The car was taken in 7 times (Only 3 of which they say they did, however we have proof of all 7). The car was having transmission issues. This car was for my 18 yr old daughter. Each time we took it in the guys got more rude, lied more to us, tossed us around and we never got it fixed. They would keep it for hours, then days, then weeks and the 7th time they kept it a month without contacting us one time about it. (We didn't mind them keeping it because I knew she was in a safe care) Her car wouldn't shift and would leave us stranded on the interstate at 30-40mph. I prayed all the time that my daughter wouldn't wreck in it. I called and told Paul he needed to make this right. I had to tell him we would do whatever it took to get help and told him to drive another car to her and take hers to fix because I wasn't letting her get into an unsafe car anymore. He drove an hr to us and switched out the cars giving us a dealer car. He wasn't happy. We never spoke to him again after that (over a month, until I showed up at the dealership) I went to talk to Paul Beggs. When I asked Paul if he was ignoring us he said "yep" he ignored messages, calls and voicemails from us. I walked in and he acted like he didn't know me. He told me he won't do anything to help us after he had previously told us that he would get it traded out if he couldn't fix it. During the conversation he was smiling the whole time, was very rude and so a manager seen it and came over. This guy (Danny Keith-Finance Director) says "I can see Paul is not getting anywhere and I am here to help. I can make more decisions than he can because I only answer to the General Manager". I told him the treatment we got from Paul and Joe and other men in service was horrible, that I had got yelled at by Joe days before because he was so frustrated that I had taken the car there so much and I was demanding something be fixed. He had sent me to drive this broken car to Marion to get a loaner only to find out they didn't even have an account to get me a loaner, so I had to drive the broken car back home. He then yells at me so loud his kids heard and said "Daddy don't yell". I told Danny I wanted my daughter in a safe car and she is going to school full time and working and I am single mother we can't pay any extra, we gave all that we had for the 14 Cruze. He said okay we will do what's right and get you into another car. He told us Paul smoked too much on his e-cig and it went to his head and that he will handle and embarrass Paul in the morning at the Sales Meeting. He then took us for a drive in a cheap car and told her to look online and find one in that price range and that he would trade even (no extra cash). We looked for weeks and found one. We called and texted Danny and he too ignored everything so we show up one day. I spoke with him and he told me "I never said anything like that to you, you have to pay more for another vehicle." I told him that is not true and I had 2 witnesses with me that day when he told us. He got loud and told me he won't help me. (Same thing Paul told me)I was there about 3 minutes, then asked for the manager. He laughed and said "lucky for you he just left" I said can I have his card please? He came back with a card. I called this guy as I was walking out, his name is Chris Byrley-General Manager. I told him what was going on. He seemed eager to do right. He said "If you have seen my commercials you will see we do what it takes" I said ok. He found us a 17 Sonic. He trades us even and admits we had a broken car 1st time. He tells me that we had a bumper to bumper warranty until 2/2020 and powertrain until 2/22 (I wrote this down as he was speaking with his pen on his desk-he watched me) He told me he will not give me a regular warranty because he is losing 4k on this car he is giving us. So we talk with Daniel Aubuchon when signing papers and agree that when the warranty ran out, I would be sure to buy the extended before then so we are covered. We signed papers and left with car. Two weeks later, we get a check engine light on...again (175.00 part is broken-02 sensor) We take it to local dealer (I knew we were covered until 2020) they inform me we have no warranty. I call back over and talk to Chris the General Manager and told him we are stranded and the car won't stay running and it dies at every stop. He got upset, said he never told me such a thing, we had no warranty and that we had to agree to disagree and this is what I get buying used. He was rude and said he did "his part" and we are stuck. Bad people to deal with I bought a new 2020 Traverse from them I live 220 miles away , working 6 days a week 15 hours a day I did not have time to go pick it up so they said they would bring it to us , it was here within a week They parked it in my Driveway and my wife looked at it and said it looked ok , so she goes back to mowing the yard Never moved the car , I got home about 1 1/2 hours later and noticed a scratch all the way across the rear bumper, I thought they would call the next week and I would talk to them about the scratch so when they never called I called about a week after I got the car, I did take pictures that afternoon after I found the scratch , now the good part , General Manager Chris Byrley same as said that my wife and I was lying about the Scratch that we did it our self , the next week I talked to Adam Carle and he also said we did it and we was lying , anyone that sees it can tell that it was most likely done on transport truck by being pulled up against another car or truck all the marks goes up and down about 1 1/2 inches from bouncing on the truck , Also I paid for the Traverse before we got it read more

I file a complain to this dealership, I buy "BRAND NEW Camaro 2014" Aug.18 2014(Monday) after 4 days aug.22,2014(Friday) they set my for my 1st services. then I bring my car there around 1pm and I get my car back around 5:30pm and GUESS what I GOT ALREADY BUNCH SCRATCH FRONT BUMPER AND SIDE OF MY CAR, 2 RETOUCH PAINT ALREADY JUST IN 4 days, I talk to the "GM CHRIS BYRLEY" about it they told me they gonna fix it and they gonna taking care of it! so they schedule me again Aug.29,2014 I bring my car around 9am then I get my car back like around 5:30pm, THEY DID NOT FIX AND THEY ADDED 2 more DAMAGE ON MY CAR DOOR got paint RETOUCH and MINI DENT AT THE BACK BUMPER. LIKE SERIOUSLY??? GM told me they cant fix it, so they trying to offer me 2 months payments or they gonna take it to the body shop to REPAINT ALL DAMAGE. LIKE REALLY?
