This is a review/response to the response they tried to throw under my review. Now what we are not going to do is clarify a situation that YOU were not apart of...okay. I know what happened with my tire, it's my car and I was driving. I stated the service department, Ashlyn to be exact said that if the tire came the following Monday without delay from the hurricane that the tire would be put on and would have my car back that day. If you're a customer somewhere and are told something will be done if it has come, do you not expect that it be done? I had to call to even verify if the tire came. Then was told it would be a day or two. That is unacceptable when there was no delay and I was told MONDAY. Do you agree? So therefore nothing to clarify with that situation to come back with an excuse to my review because it is true and you all know it. Another thing the ONLY reason I got a loaner was because I griped about it...when you buy a car and told you'll have a loaner when it's at Volkswagen because you got all the bells and whistles since it sounded good...yeah that was a lie. It was like pulling teeth, then lo and behold a loaner appears out of thin air. You all didn't "graciously" loan me a vehicle lol. It was like I had to complain about something to get the respect and service I deserve and paid for. Again with excuses I understand there are agreements...I have rented vehicles and have had loaners before. I have also worked at a dealership in the service area so I'm no dummy ;) please your silly excuses to make my review not reliable isn't working. As to the rental agreement that is not what was stated to me or how it was stated nor was I told UNTIL getting there that a credit card was needed. When I had already sent personal information over text. Why wasn't I told about this? That's my problem there needs to be better communication. Mentioned needed was license and insurance but what else was needed? A credit card which was not told to me up until the transaction. The fact you all cannot see the issue makes a whole lot of sense to me now on how the service department is not up to par or have any idea how to treat customers. Please if you're going to respond take accountability to the issues addressed instead of throwing out excuses to make yourselves look better when in fact you all were the problem, not me. Again this is why I have not and will not be back at the Evansville location. Your lack of compassion to my complaint even shows perfectly how you all feel and take criticism...not well.

Every single day since I met Stephen, he has engaged in auto fraud, deception and much more, D-Patrick will answer for this. I can prove all

We live in Georgia, and one day we found a good sale price being advertised from D-Patrick located in Indiana. So my wife and I contacted the used car sales of D-Patrick. Our salesman requested a $500 deposit, so we provided our Credit card number, and all information, and our salesman confirmed that our deposit will keep the vehicle from being sold to someone else. A very short time later, we agreed on a final purchase price. and we bought the car. So the deal was set in stone and past the point of no return, as both parties were now under official contract obligations. We even received messages from the dealership celebrating our successful purchase of the vehicle, and with celebration in his tone, he said that he arranged for Loyal Transportation to deliver our new purchase to us. Okay, so then I get a call from D-Patrick finance department, his name is Stephen Schweikarth, Stephen congratulated me on my purchase, and collected correct spelling of my name and address, and he said he hired a notary who is located in Georgia simply to notarize the invoice. Up to this point, everything was fine, and my family was super excited, my wife who is a military veteran cried tears of joy, we were so happy that we bought the exact car we were looking for. Later on, I noticed something wasn't normal, because I had requested to see my invoice, but Stephen wouldn't send it, i wondered why? I kept requesting to see my purchase invoice, including the payment amounts, and look it over. As the days passed, I wanted to see my paperwork, I asked to see it over and over, in total I requested to see the breakdown of my monthly payments 28 times, but to no avail. Stephen Schweikarth refused to let me see the payment break down, I found this to be a red flag, and so finally I had to figure it out on my own. I put $10,000 down on the purchase, and I calculated my payments, and I noticed my payments were $39.00 too much. So i called Stephen and asked about the price problem, Stephen told me he had added a $2,200.00 extended warranty on the sale. But I explained to Stephen that we hadn't discussed such a thing. I also told Stephen I was not interested in this huge warranty that we never even knew about. At that point Stephen became extremely high pressure for me to buy the warranty, and he said the warranties are how he makes his living, not car sales. I was still kind of reeling on how could he do such a thing, but then Stephen became more and more irate, I was severely intimidated, and some statements he made seemed to be threatening in nature. Later I sent him a message and said my wife and I cannot afford the huge warranty, I said I wanted to stick to our original deal, and I thanked him for his assistance, then after a few days, i finally got the price breakdown, and the huge extended warranty was still there, So I texted Stephen to send another price break down, but remove the warranty, because we never wanted that, never asked for that, we rejected the warranty, and we don't want to buy it. Absolutely shockingly, Stephen became absolutely furious that I wouldn't buy it, and he became hostile and then Stephen suddenly was severely irate, he was scaring us, and he was absolutely enraged, he was furious, then he said I cannot buy the vehicle without the warranty, and he unsold the car from my family. The problem was we already had bought it, we already got our financing completed, and I also got the cashiers check for my down payment. I cant even start to explain how hurt an disappointed my family was. I mean, this was just awful and I started to feel sick, how could this be? With my whole family crying, I told Stephen that I will buy the forced extended warranty. So, he then said I can buy the car but only if I buy the giant warranty. So that's what I did, and then Stephen sold me the vehicle again after he had just unsold it to me. My head was spinning, and the entire purchase was feeling dangerous, especially after intimidation, threats, and coercion had take place. I knew that what Stephen did was extremely illegal. I told Stephen that I would have been more comfortable if I had bought the warranty on my own. Later on, Stephen spoke to upper management and his constituents about the transaction, and apparently everyone was explaining to Stephen how incredibly illegal this kind of fraud is. So the in another whiplash outrage, Stephen said our family cannot buy the car at all. And now he was unselling us the car again. And its true I am not allowed to buy the car. Then Stephen began bombarding me, and saying the warranty played no part in his actions, and that Georgia was too far, he said the warranty had nothing to do with the breach of contract, and he went on and on trying to convince me that the warranty played no part - now obviously any human being with a brain between their ears can see what happened, Stephen engaged in auto fraud, deception, theft, lying, and just plain and simple criminal behavior. I buy a lot of parts here. The guys are generally friendly. Sales people are always friendly. It's like they want you to buy something The guys in the service department are great. I've bounced ideas off them and they have given honest feedback.

First, Joe recommended only the most critical repairs and gave me a tentative timeline of when other repairs may be needed. I'd be driving across the country and he made sure I was traveling in a safe vehicle. When I arrived out west in the scorching heat, my engine light went on. I took it to the local Scottsdale dealer on Camelback and they gave me a long list of critical repairs over $3500! They made it sound like my car would drop out from under me if I didn't have the repairs done. I called Joe. He disagreed with the assessment and spoke directly with the Scottsdale dealer. He is amazing. I took the car to a very reputable repair shop that my cousin has worked with for years, IMM Auto in Tempe. Cost for the actual critical repairs, plus a repair that would be needed by next summer, under $1000. My 4Runner is running great! I wish there was a Kenny Kent in every city that I could go to. An Out-of-State Purchase Done Perfectly -- Ask for Matt and Luke…read more Buying a used car sight-unseen from across the country is one of those things that sounds like a great way to get burned. The horror stories are real -- cars that look nothing like the photos, hidden mechanical issues glossed over in the listing, bait-and-switch pricing when you show up, and last-minute fees magically appearing at the signing table. I knew all of this going in. I did it anyway, and I'm genuinely glad I did. I found a used car at Hyundai of Evansville and worked with Matt and Luke from start to finish. From the very first conversation, these guys were different. No pressure, no games, no manufactured urgency. We negotiated the price honestly and efficiently over the phone -- they were straightforward, reasonable, and never made me feel like I was being managed. All the paperwork was handled ahead of time so there were no surprises waiting for me when I arrived. I flew in specifically to pick up the car. Matt and Luke walked me through the vehicle thoroughly, answered every question, and had me on the road in about 10 minutes. Everything was exactly as represented -- not a single thing had been hidden, minimized, or oversold. The whole experience was cleaner and easier than buying a car locally has ever been for me. If you're hesitant about buying long-distance, let this review be your sign. Hyundai of Evansville -- and specifically Matt and Luke -- are the real deal. The most happy and miserable instances in life occur simultaneously while purchasing an auto…read more I have purchased several cars through various dealers, but most recently I acquired my third vehicle, a new Ram Sport, through this Indiana Dodge dealer. In my opinion, the level of service I get seems to decline with each auto purchase. For the most part, they are fairly easy to deal with; if you play hard to get, better deals will come, as with any dealer. If you start heading for the door, especially toward the end of the month, a hundred dollars here and a hundred dollars there will be offered up. This purchase went fairly smoothly, minus a discrepancy of $1500, which I discovered three hours into the process and basically had the choice to either walk away or say "Fuck It, I'll remember this shit on the next go-round" since I tend to purchase a new auto about every five years or so - if I return to this dealership at all. It came down to a "my word against yours," and "what was meant and what was understood being two different things," so, I swallowed my irritation and pressed on with the purchase. I opted for the paint seal, which is costly (between $800-900), but guarantees to protect the paint, especially the front end, from dead bugs. I travel a lot, and so far, they wipe away fairly well - far from the ease the promotional video promises they require you to watch during the sales process. The most irritating post-purchase discovery is that navigation is now an add on. Every vehicle I have purchased in the last 15 years has included navigation, but now it is a costly add on - $500. After speaking to several friends, this seems to be a popular racket among the auto brands. A buddy who just purchased an F150 paid around $1500, a friend with a new Toyota paid $1500, and another buddy was quoted $3000 for a new Audi. Ridiculous. If you are paying $40-60K for a vehicle, that should be part of the standard package. Without it, the elaborate in dash computer system is basically just for unnecessary show. Another irritation was I added some custom options to be installed prior to delivery. In past purchases, I received great deals (waived labor costs for service) on the addition of running boards, etc.; this time, I paid labor costs - a lot of labor costs, to have the items installed. In a separate Yelp post, I reviewed the dealership's Express Lube service department located a block away from the dealership; it is a further testament to the decline in quality of service over the last few years. The sales person walked me through the various options for my new truck and gave me a rather-long tutorial/sales pitch for the new U-Connect system, which is basically Dodge's version of On-Star. It is interesting, but too costly for the amount of service you receive. On my new truck purchase, I was contacted several days later and notified there was an error in my paperwork, so I had to arrange additional time to return and correct the dealership's errors. This delayed the ability to license my vehicle for several weeks. Like I said, not a wholly terrible experience, but far from the quality of my first auto purchase from this dealership in long-past years. If Dodge continues to put out a product that I desire - the upcoming versions of the Ram frighteningly seem very Fiat-ish in styling - I will continue to be a buyer; however, I may have to seek out another dealer who shows me a greater willingness to deal and leave me feeling as if I received the best deal possible.
