A few years ago someone came out with a $4000 quote and a warning not to use it or it would collapse on itself. "Springs" Sergio comes out and gives us a quote for just about half that! I picked a date, synched it with him. He came out the day before to check I was cleaning out the garage o.k. and did some final measurements assuring the fit. I rented a dumpster for a week and it really helped. For the new garage door, I thought from start to finish it would be three days. I have waited longer at the Costco food court-but we we're really surprised when he was done after about 3 hours. Very systematically done. The price was great, the second biggest surprise was the quiet opening and closing. Before, it sounded like the jaws of life ripping open the tin man, who's chewing on tin foil barbed wire and his unclipped tin nails were dragging on a chalkboard. All animals fled in terror each time I simply pushed the remote. Now, it sounds like a canoe, on a peaceful glassy lake, with fish jumping in the distance-quiet, practical, simple, beautiful. Sergio was very knowledgeable and helped explain how the symptoms in our case developed. And was really good at deflecting the shame I held for the messy garage, and putting that in it's box where it belongs and remains unopened. Sergio fielded all questions well, really smart. Experienced. Good communicator, The whole time he made things easy.

Ed & Son's was the first suggestion. AI isnt always right, but this time it was! Got a fair quote over the phone for maintenance service call and made an appointment for today- Saturday. Arrived on time, readily identified as legit (truck had his name, and same info in business card/invoice). Inspection showed all looked good, but the weather stripping was cracked and he could replace it. Not covered by HOA so I'llcall to set that up. He said if I wanted to upgrade anything, nylon rollers would be his suggestion, but that was not a pressure sale- just a recommendation. Knocked off $25 for rollers $225 for a service call/maintenance and new rollers, which i thought was reasonable. Asked him if motor was okay and he said yes, but not needed now. "If it's not broke, don't fix it," was his advice. Love that! Asked for price for wishlist and he said there is a range, but the e-openers are battery backup and have remote camera and operational app. Quoted under $1000 for motor and 8' track replacement. Thank you, Ed, for a reassuring, comfortable, fairly priced experience. I CAN'T SPEAK HIGHLY ENOUGH of him!

I initially had a very positive experience with Ernesto. I needed someone to come out quickly, and…read morehe was able to schedule me on a Sunday, which I genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that. He came out, said he repaired the garage door, and left. Shortly afterward, I discovered the original problem had not been fixed. The garage door still would not close, which was the entire reason I called him in the first place. I called to let him know the issue was still happening and had him speak with my brother, who was at home at the time. He immediately suggested that I had touched or moved the sensors. I did not appreciate being blamed for the issue, especially since neither my brother nor I had touched anything. More than a week later, the garage door was still not working properly, so my brother contacted Ernesto again. He agreed to come back on Monday morning and said he would make himself available. Because of that, I stayed home waiting and rearranged my schedule, including picking up my car from the tire shop and attending a chiropractor appointment. When I called in the am to confirm his arrival time, he told me he would be there between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. By 12:40 p.m., he still had not arrived, and I had received no communication that he was running late. I called simply to let him know I needed to step out briefly and would be back around 2:30 p.m. Delays happen, and I would have completely understood if he had communicated with me. At approximately 1:20 p.m., he texted saying he was about 35 minutes away. The problem was that he already knew I would not be back until 2:30 p.m. Rather than working with the schedule I had communicated, he expected me to rearrange my day yet again after I had already spent the entire morning waiting for him. As a result, I had have my brother go to the house and accommodate a repair that should have been completed correctly the first time. What made the situation even more frustrating was his reaction. I was not upset that he was running late. I simply wanted communication. Instead of acknowledging the delay, he became defensive and started talking about how he needed to get paid on the job he was currently working on, did not want to work past 4:00 p.m., deal with traffic, or work late. None of those issues had anything to do with my call. I was simply letting him know when I would be available. He then complained that this is why he does not give customers arrival windows and said that next time he would not provide a timeframe at all. Throughout the entire conversation, I remained calm and flexible. I honestly did not care whether he came Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. My only expectation was that if he gave me a timeframe, he would either honor it or communicate if something changed. The issue was never that he was late. The issue was the lack of communication!and the defensive attitude when I tried to coordinate a solution. Waiting all morning is frustrating, but what was most disappointing was being treated as though I had done something wrong simply for asking for an update. Based on my experience, I did not appreciate the lack of professionalism, the defensive attitude, the poor communication, and the unwillingness to be flexible when scheduling issues arose. What makes this even more frustrating is that the original issue was never properly resolved, and the situation ultimately ended up creating additional inconvenience for me. Had the repair been completed correctly and communication been handled professionally, this entire situation could have been avoided.

In summary: straight forward, customer focused experience Here's the story if you want the details. Pro-line was the 4th company I contacted to get my dying garage door motor replaced. First guy never answered. Second guy showed up and took a look, never sent me an estimate because he said he was too busy. I found a third company that showed up but the technician didn't know much so I couldn't ask many questions, he had to call his uncle for information, and I requested an estimate from the uncle but took over 24 hours to send it, by which time I'd contacted Pro-line. I received a pre-estimate immediately in Yelp. We arranged for Jimmy to come by the next day. I'd done lots of research so had lots of questions. I'm going from like a 20 year old garage motor to these new fancy schmancy motors. Jimmy showed up exactly on time and was really informative when answering my questions. Gave me all the details for the three options. Chain vs belt, rail systems, warranties, controls, wear and tear, and so on. This consult was super straightforward and informative and it helped me come to the best decision for my situation, and he wasn't trying to be salesy, exactly how customer service should go. I selected the chain motor option (#2), a little pricier but worth the durability in a garage that gets extremely hot in summer. He emailed me the quote while we were standing in my garage. We scheduled the appt for 3 days later (today!) and he showed up exactly on time again. Pulled up at 8:45 and was done at 10:30. He showed me how to use everything and all about the new installations: garage motor, rail system, wall button, clickers, mobile app, and new sensors. And informed me about the optimizations he did to the overall setup so that everything was working like new and not squeaking any longer. Also took the old system away, which some companies charge for. As for the product, it's a LiftMaster chain motor that has a backup power source for when the electricity goes out, which is great because there's no other access points to the garage. Even though it's a chain motor, it's really quiet, like 50 times quieter than my old motor. It connects to wifi, and the MyQ app, which means I can use my phone to open and close the door, AND also check in the app if I left it open. The motor can now auto lift the door if it tries to close onto something that is not right in the line of the sensor - the door will go back up. My last motor didn't have that option and my old door broke! (On my friend's car bumper) Great experience getting my garage working again. I would highly recommend giving them a call if you need your garage door fixed! Thank you, Jimmy, your excellent service is much appreciated!

So I went to Yelp, and saw Glory Garage Door - they had high ratings, great reviews and best of all, a verified license! I called and spoke to Denys. From the moment Denys heard the garbage attempt to open then quickly close, he knew what the problem was! He was able to manually open the door from the outside and confirmed that it was indeed the coils and tension wires. He gave me options of replacement materials - from low cost to more expensive - and allowed me to determine my price. He even showed me his price table. No hidden fees, no upsell, just full transparency! Easy! After I made my choice, he began the work which had challenges since I had something blocking the access to the coils.
