    New garage door motor
    Danielle N.

TLDR: provided a pre-estimate in Yelp, showed up next day for an in-person estimate exactly when he said, answered all my questions, offered 3 options for replacing my motor, emailed me the quote on site, then returned 3 days later exactly when scheduled and changed the motor in under 2 hours. In summary: straight forward, customer focused experience Here's the story if you want the details. Pro-line was the 4th company I contacted to get my dying garage door motor replaced. First guy never answered. Second guy showed up and took a look, never sent me an estimate because he said he was too busy. I found a third company that showed up but the technician didn't know much so I couldn't ask many questions, he had to call his uncle for information, and I requested an estimate from the uncle but took over 24 hours to send it, by which time I'd contacted Pro-line. I received a pre-estimate immediately in Yelp. We arranged for Jimmy to come by the next day. I'd done lots of research so had lots of questions. I'm going from like a 20 year old garage motor to these new fancy schmancy motors. Jimmy showed up exactly on time and was really informative when answering my questions. Gave me all the details for the three options. Chain vs belt, rail systems, warranties, controls, wear and tear, and so on. This consult was super straightforward and informative and it helped me come to the best decision for my situation, and he wasn't trying to be salesy, exactly how customer service should go. I selected the chain motor option (#2), a little pricier but worth the durability in a garage that gets extremely hot in summer. He emailed me the quote while we were standing in my garage. We scheduled the appt for 3 days later (today!) and he showed up exactly on time again. Pulled up at 8:45 and was done at 10:30. He showed me how to use everything and all about the new installations: garage motor, rail system, wall button, clickers, mobile app, and new sensors. And informed me about the optimizations he did to the overall setup so that everything was working like new and not squeaking any longer. Also took the old system away, which some companies charge for. As for the product, it's a LiftMaster chain motor that has a backup power source for when the electricity goes out, which is great because there's no other access points to the garage. Even though it's a chain motor, it's really quiet, like 50 times quieter than my old motor. It connects to wifi, and the MyQ app, which means I can use my phone to open and close the door, AND also check in the app if I left it open. The motor can now auto lift the door if it tries to close onto something that is not right in the line of the sensor - the door will go back up. My last motor didn't have that option and my old door broke! (On my friend's car bumper) Great experience getting my garage working again. I would highly recommend giving them a call if you need your garage door fixed! Thank you, Jimmy, your excellent service is much appreciated!

We used this company to install our garage door a few years ago, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. They showed up on time, answered all of my questions, and were incredibly helpful in helping me find the exact door I wanted--it turned out beautiful! A few years later, someone hit our garage door, and we didn't hesitate to call them again. They came out, fixed the damage, and even though the replacement was a newer version of our original door and didn't align perfectly at first, they made sure everything looked great in the end. Their attention to detail really stood out. Overall, I'm very happy with their work and customer service. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a reliable and professional garage door company.

Normally don't leave reviews but Pro-Line deserves recognition for the most competitive rates, great work and genuinely good character that the owner exemplifies. Not many businesses will advise a potential client to request multiple quotes. Out of the four quotes that I received, Pro-Line had the best rate by a long shot. I was lucky and grateful to come across a "diamond in the ruff" business like Pro-Line and I highly recommend them. Not a BS type of business... Thank you very much Pro-Line!!!

I had a garage door put in a couple years ago and it has been great. Today I needed help because of a mistake that I made. Jimmy came out same day and fix the problem. Customer service is fantastic and I love my Garage Door! I would definitely recommend this company.

Ask the Community - Pro Line Garage Door

During heavy storms. Which happened last year and this year, my garage flooded with 2" water , i would like to install a tight seal door to stop that from happening again. Please advise?

Although we can never guarantee to stop water completely, new seals can certainly help reduce the amount of water entering the garage. This is all dependent on the type of Garage door system you have. For more information please call 866-540-7805…

How much do you charge to install a garage door? I have the new metal door and the new motor. I will need framing, track and all hardware

Hello Jackie, Thank you for the opportunity to service your needs. Unfortunately we only install…

    Do you install garage screens?

We do not, call Peña garage door. They do screens. If you mention Pro-Line Garage door they will give you 10% off.

How much for a service call?

We don’t charge to come out and give an estimate. Our standard labor charge is $149 for most jobs.

Do you sell and install Amarr or Clopay garage doors ? Brand of openers?

Yes, we have accounts with Amarr and Clopay. We can get any door your looking for from those manufactures. We install Liftmaster, Genie, and Marantec openers.

    Do you tip upon completion?

Unfortunately I did not. I paid by card and there was no option to tip when card processed. He definitely appreciates passing along his name by word of mouth and social media.

Unfortunately, things went downhill after that. He came out, said he repaired the garage door, and left. Shortly afterward, I discovered the original problem had not been fixed. The garage door still would not close, which was the entire reason I called him in the first place. I called to let him know the issue was still happening and had him speak with my brother, who was at home at the time. He immediately suggested that I had touched or moved the sensors. I did not appreciate being blamed for the issue, especially since neither my brother nor I had touched anything. More than a week later, the garage door was still not working properly, so my brother contacted Ernesto again. He agreed to come back on Monday morning and said he would make himself available. Because of that, I stayed home waiting and rearranged my schedule, including picking up my car from the tire shop and attending a chiropractor appointment. When I called in the am to confirm his arrival time, he told me he would be there between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. By 12:40 p.m., he still had not arrived, and I had received no communication that he was running late. I called simply to let him know I needed to step out briefly and would be back around 2:30 p.m. Delays happen, and I would have completely understood if he had communicated with me. At approximately 1:20 p.m., he texted saying he was about 35 minutes away. The problem was that he already knew I would not be back until 2:30 p.m. Rather than working with the schedule I had communicated, he expected me to rearrange my day yet again after I had already spent the entire morning waiting for him. As a result, I had have my brother go to the house and accommodate a repair that should have been completed correctly the first time. What made the situation even more frustrating was his reaction. I was not upset that he was running late. I simply wanted communication. Instead of acknowledging the delay, he became defensive and started talking about how he needed to get paid on the job he was currently working on, did not want to work past 4:00 p.m., deal with traffic, or work late. None of those issues had anything to do with my call. I was simply letting him know when I would be available. He then complained that this is why he does not give customers arrival windows and said that next time he would not provide a timeframe at all. Throughout the entire conversation, I remained calm and flexible. I honestly did not care whether he came Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. My only expectation was that if he gave me a timeframe, he would either honor it or communicate if something changed. The issue was never that he was late. The issue was the lack of communication!and the defensive attitude when I tried to coordinate a solution. Waiting all morning is frustrating, but what was most disappointing was being treated as though I had done something wrong simply for asking for an update. Based on my experience, I did not appreciate the lack of professionalism, the defensive attitude, the poor communication, and the unwillingness to be flexible when scheduling issues arose. What makes this even more frustrating is that the original issue was never properly resolved, and the situation ultimately ended up creating additional inconvenience for me. Had the repair been completed correctly and communication been handled professionally, this entire situation could have been avoided.

Our garage door was broken so we called them out. We told them we could only be home until 4pm and they gave us the window of 2-4pm. We made sure we were home during that time. Unfortunately, it was for no reason because nobody showed up or called. We called them and they said they would come tight then and only take a minute to give an estimate for the work. Well no estimate was provided and they just started the work without any communication. When I heard drilling I asked if they were going to provide an estimate or what? And the workers said, ya, it's almost done, it's $450. No approval, no paperwork, nothing. I was late to my appointment and they said we could leave them locked in the garage, but as we were going to leave they kept having to go through the house to get things from their truck. I didn't want to leave them locked in the hot garage but we really had to leave. The whole situation was so incredibly frustrating. Then the office girl called me to collect payment and made it 100 times worse. I was trying to explain to her that the process was really stressful and she said, "ok so then I'll just have them go back and undo everything they did" .... Are you serious? What kind of customer service is that? What a terrible representation for their business. Had she said, "I understand how that was frustrating. We should have come when we said we were/communicated/provided an estimate/explained what we were even doing/honestly anything? It would have been different. Things happen, I get that, but have accountability and communication. It's very very basic customer service. We paid, we're done with them, but we will never use this company again.
