Joel recently helped me with an extremely tough case of misaligned and imbalanced garage door where it could no longer close flush vertically and horizontally. Picture enclosed to illustrate. On a hot day, Joel stopped by ahead of schedule. As it turned out, this was an especially involved case with many complications that required nearly a full disassembly of the existing garage door system and meticulously reinstalled to "reset" the alignment. Not only was Joel a master of garage door assemblies and the many mechanisms that keep them working, he also was very adept at carpentry work as the wood panels that the system was originally affixed to had warped over time and Joel needed to shave off the sections that warped. Which was one of the drivers for why the door became so badly misaligned vertically and horizontally. All in all, it was 100 minutes straight of hard work and concentration. "They" told me that i needed a new wall motor and quoted me the lowest price of $2,700 to fix my problem. He began to replace the springs but then discovered that another major component of the garage door was broken. Upon discovering this, he stated that it would not be safe to just replace the springs as the major part will eventually give away, and the door will fall on whoever opens it at that time.
