This charming, historic sweet shop located in Frisco opened in 1946 when Robert and Helen Foote…read morepurchased the property. However, its history goes back even further to the late 1800s. It also once served as the town's post office, general store, and gas station. The main building originally consisted of a one-room, wood plank cabin which is still standing today and attached to the larger white main house. The property expanded into its current state as the years went on. Fixtures from it's heyday as a post office can still be seen in the building which adds to all the charm. Inside you'll find an array of sweets available from individual candies to homemade fudge, homemade ice cream, and more. The ice cream is available by the scoop or as a shake, float, or sundae. I love fudge and got a couple of different flavors. They were really tasty, but also very sweet, so a little goes a long way. My favorite was the Tiger Butter and the Raspberry Swirl. I also got a coffee malted shake which was delicious. I would've wanted it to be a little thicker, but it was good nonetheless. It was a little pricey for what it was, $10.25 for a small shake and around $5 per piece of fudge (about 1/4 pound). Overall, this is a cute stop if you're in the area and craving a bit of sweets and I loved the historical aspect as well. To this day, the historic Foote's Rest landmark still remains in the Foote family.

One of them had on the most inappropriate top to be wearing at a work/family establishment. I got a chocolate milkshake and my kids got ice cream. The milkshake was subpar, tasted like chocolate watery milk. They didn't speak a word to us. No hello, thank you, have a good day.,nothing. We spent $40 bucks on icecream at your establishment..the least you could do is say thanks : / Whoever owns this place needs to seriously do some customer service training.
