Would've rated five but their front desk girl was incredibly rude for absolutely no damn reason. I work in a spa and would never greet a guest with an RBF and curt "what service?" totally ruined the vibe of my morning. Best pedicure I've had in YEARS. The ambiance was amazing, pedicures are in a separate room where the lights are dimmed, very light peaceful music, talking is at a very minimal level. The service was beyond what I expected out of a suite nail salon. The amount of effort put into the massaging, cleaning, cleansing - amazing. The tech went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable, communicated via light taps instead of talking (super appreciate this, added to the ambiance!) and even made sure I liked the nail color after she put in on one nail. The price? Definitely not costly at all and will be lower than what you are expecting, especially when compared to other sub par nail salons AND given the level of service. The owner does my nails. I'm always on time, I bring my own color bc when I asked them to get it for me they said no. I do the same thing everytime and I tip slightly over 20%. I was there Friday and I was made to wait 20 minutes. I was rushed through my nails, I always get something on my ring finger and he just started to put the clear coat on. He did my design, a very basic flower, and walked me to my pedicure. This service was also being rushed and was only an average pedicure. He was ready to paint and I showed him my ring finger and he said, "I don't have time" Now clearly no one minds making me wait 20 minutes but your going to catch up the schedule on my service? Why as a customer of many years am I being told NO. The dipsh*t receptionist was basically like too bad were behind. The owner could hear I was upset as he sits right next to the front desk and he never got up to address me but often stops doing my nails to address an issue. I gave them each a tip and left very angry. Also they are never wrong and he put my tip on my fresh set on my thumb crooked and he said it wasn't crooked and now I have a very crooked thumb. There is a language barrier yet its somehow offensive that you use translate. It's a nice place visually quick, hit or miss on the quality. Zero on customer service pay me and leave and we don't make mistakes and we are never wrong. read more

Girl at the front desk was unfriendly, rude, and impatient. I asked my nail tech not to cut my cuticles, yet he did anyway. He cut too close and left the skin raw and sensitive. Also, he painted unevenly and got gel polish on my skin. The whole time I felt they were rushing to get me out quickly--not caring about the quality of the service provided. I go here 1-2 times a month. This time around I got my nails done by someone who hasn't done my nails before (which is fine) but I didn't feel like the quality was nearly as good as it once was. Had this been my first time there I wouldn't have wanted to go back. But because I know there are talented nail artists here I will but only if I'm able to get someone else. Sure my nail tech was nice, and I should have spoken up while I was there about how I was not happy with the results - so that's on me. Nail tech was knicking my skin and it was pretty painful. I find it really uncomfortable to be paying $55 plus tip for a service in the same area where employees are sleeping. My appointment started 50 minutes ago and two of the employees were napping the entire time. There were others, in the quiet area for pedicures, on their phones playing games, making phone calls. While we sat there for our services we were amongst four staff members lounging back there. Complimentary soda and water are available to customers but never offered to us. My friend audibly gasped several time during her pedicure because she was cut by her technician. We are done here. read more

Great dip nails with art and the price was great! Only taking 1 star off due to a guy taking a break in the pedicure room and listening to videos. That only happened 1 time. The next time was a better experience. I do wish they wouldn't talk in their native in front of you. It makes you feel like they are talking about you. We just moved to the area (from ny where mani pedis at nail salons are $35 OR LESS) so I'm on the hunt for my new spot. I scheduled an appointment via the facebook appointment feature (which is basically using messenger). I asked for a dip mani and a pedicure with kevin who was recommended to me. They only scheduled me for a dip mani so some rando had to do my pedicure. Strike one. I felt like going all out with a "dip" manicure. I've done gel and back in my hey day i did many acrylics but I've never tried dip. It is like exactly the same as acrylic. They use the sanding machine to sand/file your nail down, then use a brush/liquid/powder combo to do the "dip" which is basically putting a thick substance on your nails. Then he files it down again. It looks nice, but it's thick. This is just acrylic with a new name y'all and it's all the rage. I specifically asked for cuticle clean up in advance which he told me he does after. Ok... well it's hard to do cuticle clean up when you have thick af fake nails on. I love when people are like "oh these are my real nails" HA! Girl you have a half inch of plastic on top there's nothing real about it! Anyway! The front mani room is crowded and there are no fans. Door was open but the smells were hella strong. Pedicure is in a reeeally dark room. I get the vibe. But it's like too dark for them to work. Too dark to see if they're jacking your ish up. Cheapest pedicure is $35. This pedi was worth $20. Maybe. He cut my toe doing cuticle clean up (strike 2) got paint all over my big toe, and barely touched the bottom of my feet (strike 3). They look like I did them myself. I'm including pictures. My feet are not gross. But I haven't had a pedi in 3 months and they need more tlc than this dude even knew how to give. I also got a gift card for our nanny and after i had paid for it etc I was handed a USED scratched up gift card and told there were 1)no envelopes to put it in and 2) no pamphlets to include if available services. If you're gonna charge high class prices, you have to BE a high class establishment. I won't be back. On to the next one! read more

I've been officially coming to Kenosha Nail Bar for a year now and I haven't gone anywhere else in Kenosha. I love the fast, quality service and all of the nail techs are super awesome. If I can give zero stars I would. I went in and wanted a fill for my acrylics. I told the nail tech I wanted shorter nail with coffin style. He said he was able to do so. During the process my nails came (1) uneven, (2) not the same length, (3) nail polish on my skin (4) uneven nail polish job (5) he made me bleed and (6) took off my connected nail and made me bleed. He then had the audacity to charge me for a full set. I'm so livid at this place. It was as if this was normal. He proceeded to tell me if your nails were longer this wouldn't be a problem. All I said was I told you beforehand and you told me you were able to accomplish what I wanted. How is this my fault. AND HE MADE ME BLEED. See pictures for yourself. I don't recommend this place. I got my nails done, the tech rushed. There's fuzz underneath my acrylic, the nails are super thick and they don't look even close to the reference photo. The art is just overall sloppy. They just look bad and cheap.. I called them the next day asking if they were able to adjust the price of the bill and they said they would get back to me and never called. My sister in law and I decided to take our girls her for pedicures and manicures. I will NEVER ago back. The girl who did my pedicure was absolutely terrible. My ankle is scraped up from her using the pumas tool on it, not sure why anyone would and the polish job looks like a 5 year did it. I made sure to let them know and all they did was offer 20% off my pedicure service. I was not looking to get something for free. I am a pedicure snob and learned the hard way not to go outside of my normal place from now on. Now the dip services look pretty but my fingers are in pain and I have cuts on many fingers due to the ridiculous amount of filing done on my nails. This was my go to nail place in Kenosha. I had a wedding to go to and made my appointment two weeks in advance for a gel manicure. I show up for my appointment and was told I'm not in their system. I showed them the confirmation I received and everything and they said that my appointment must have gotten deleted and they were booked for the day. Which I get, but how did they decide ti make this right? They offered to let me sit and wait to see if they had any no shows but that's all that they could do. I politely told them I couldn't sit around and wait and would have to go somewhere else. So, I write this from the seat of another nail salon, possibly my new go to nail place, because they couldn't make this right. My advice? The manicure I got felt rushed and as a result my cuticle was cut WAY to short resulting in a lot of bleeding and redness two days later. The color is amazing and my nail technician was so patient with me when I even asked to change to a different yellow. I had a very simple nail design but longer nails. I've never been to a nail place that charges by length but specifically time. This man took 2 hours doing my nails and 70% of the time I was explaining to him how to make one line thicker than the other and I was told that if he couldn't get it I would just have to suck it up pretty much. This design was two lines on the side one on the top. Something that should've been less than $65 ended up coming up to $82 because the man couldn't draw the line right. Its not the fact that they also charge by time that bothers me, it's the fact that they don't tell you until you get to the front to pay. I went here for the first time a couple months ago and I keep coming back because the nail artists are incredible and do such an amazing job every time I come. Someone get this place some Clorox wipes! I've been a customer there since they have opened. I will say they do a wonderful job. The last few times I have been there, it looks like it needs a good cleaning. Things look dusty, dried glue/polish on the tables.
