After being told my transmission was dripping and a cost of $2100, I was completely surprised as my vehicle only has 65,000 miles. Jeff concluded it wasn't dripping. The first time I bought my vehicle in he saved my butt. Whoever checked my transmission fluid at my last oil change didn't put the plug back in. My transmission was about to be destroyed. Jeff put fluid in. The next day I picked up a plug at the dealership and Jeff promptly put it in and gave me an extra quart of fluid. He barely charged me. I HIGHLY recommend Champion Transmission.

I went into the shop because the transmission was shifting hard and had kept up on the fluid and filter changes and twice as often as manufacturer recommended because the transmission is known to not last long. He hooked up his machine to the car drove and reprogrammed the transmission and it's working like a champ again just like his shop name. He did recommend a few things he noticed when test driving the vehicle and asked him great when can you get to it. He said make an appointment and come back and said for the reprogram I didn't owe him anything. He could have easily said you need a new transmission but his integrity came through with a simple reprogram to fix the program when he could have easily sold me a new transmission or rebuild. Hence, why Jeff has been in business for 35 years. Don't trust AAMCO or CRC transmission shops. They both told me I needed a new transmission.

My 2012 Chevy Silverado 3500 Diesel Duramax 6.6 HD, 4-Wheel drive, went into check engine warning…read morelight mode. Never a good thing! The warning messages displayed included 1. Service Stabilitrak 2. Service Traction Control 3. Park Assist Off. The truck went into drive safety mode which means lower MPH to prevent any further possible damage to the warning light mechanical issue. After getting home safely, I plugged in my OBD II (On Board Diagnostics) code reader to the OBD II unit on the truck. I did not get a message telling me what the issue was. This was unusual since I always get the code identifying the mevhanical problem. I took my truck into the local Chevy dealership service center as I have always taken my vehicle there since it was purchased at this dealership brand new. Long story on this, I was told by the service advisor that the Allison transmission was the issue and had to be replaced with a new one. Needless to say a very costly issue in the $12,000 plus bend over repair cost. After some agonizing thought and puzzlement I decided to get on Yelp and make some calls to pursue a second opinion. Long story on this was finding CRC Transmissions and their positive Yelp reviews. I called and spoke with Todd likely close to the day's closing time. Todd was gracious enough to offer some takes and opinion on the apparent and possible issue/s. The next day I received a call from his wife Lori for an update on my matter. This discussion with her of the likely mechanical issues and repairs, along with her genuine knowledge and expertise sealed the deal for me to tow my truck from the Chevy dealership to their shop for their look and second opinion. From my initial phone contacts to tow drop off of my truck to being kept in the progress loop was just amazing! In this day in age it's not that often to find business folks who are honest, genuine and sincere. This business people is not 5 star but rather 10 star. Todd and his mechanics almost immediately determined that the problem was not the transmission. The issue was identified as the Transmission Control Module (transmission computer unit) and not the Allison transmission (reputable work horse of tranny's). All I can say is wow, wow, wow! I can't say enough about Todd, his mechanics and his special wife Lori at CRC Transmissions. I felt so comfortable and confident that I also agreed to additional preventive mechanical work. Bottom line, CRC Transmissions honest work saved me about $10K. You have a new customer and I will be referring you all to family and friends. I highly recommend CRC Transmissions

But Aamco doesn't just work on transmissions and honk horns nowadays. This location is a full-service garage. Don't let the national brand fool you, this garage is old school where the mechanics are mechanics. The faces changed here over time, but the service has always stayed the same. I'm giving this place 5 stars because it offers more than what appears here on Yelp. This garage has kept my 2000 Buick steaming ahead for over 10 years now. In fact, they haven't had to work on that car for many years now. Aamco offers free engine light analysis! I recently took a truck in to get a leak checked for FREE. They test drove the truck and discovered problems I did not know I had. Also, they called out another glitch in the truck that is only felt at a certain speed. It was discovered and diagnosed during a FREE test drive. This glitch was a symptom in its early stages, and the guy knew exactly what it was. No emergency service needed, but I now can plan ahead for such repair in the future. This mechanic was the only one who discovered this glitch, and this truck has been regularly serviced by the dealership. Prices might be higher compared to "some guy you might know in the valley", but they are fair. I know for a fact this garage does good work. My Buick is living and driving proof. And every time I bring a clunker to these guys, they always find a way to show me my car is not a clunker. Approach these garage with an open mind, and they will take care of you. I bring my cars to either the dealership I buy from or this garage. Until I witness any flaws at this garage, I'll continue to sing them praise.

BEWARE! Marco will try everything to wiggle out of a warranty…read more A year ago I broke down on the freeway with an entirely failed clutch. I was towed to this AAMCO location and Marco fixed the clutch. He told me it would be "different", whatever that was supposed to mean. Different it was. Within a few months, it became almost impossible to get into second gear. Eventually, I couldn't get into reverse or first, either. So I bring it back for the warranty work. Marco actually TOLD me that he was literally looking for anything OTHER than the clutch work he had done before. "It's so small in those cars, I really don't want to open up the clutch unless I have to." It took him THREE WEEKS of trying all other possibilities before FINALLY breaking down and fixing his work. I will commend Marco for finally honoring the warranty and not charging me for all the exploratory work he did trying to avoid honoring the warranty. When I finally picked up my baby, Marco cryptically reported: "If anything is going to go wrong, it will happen in the next 100 miles." well, if that doesn't sound like he set something up to fail? No surprise, within a week the starter began to fail. Well, I'm not going back to Marco, so I go to an honest mechanic, who found the problem IMMEDIATELY. "It was a loose wire, the first thing we saw when we put it up, it was obvious."

When it comes to cars I'm fairly knowledgeable so I was particularly interested in his diagnostics capabilities and recommended repairs. It seems that he has experience working on my particular vehicles transmissions and understand some of the shortcomings related to the way the transmission was being cooled. All in all, I think George was fair with his pricing and I was happy with his repairs.

Have been taking my Lexus cars to Ken's Quality Auto Repair since 1994. As soon as my 1st car warranty expired, I left the dealer for Ken's. His company treats cars like a good and expert doctor will care for patients. My second Lexus came in 11 years later. My third and latest Lexis (ES 330), purchased (pre driven) in 2007, was immediately put under the care of Ken's. Ken's mechanics are well trained and competent. Regular follow-up inspections and repairs are done very well. No job too small or too large. TRUST has been earned and maintained whenever in my experience over 22 years covering 3 consecutive Lexus cars. The work, the treatment and the pricing are all excellent. Ken's Code of Ethics comes through in reality. TRUST and competence are very consistent qualities. Ken even has a mechanic's background and collaborates with his mechanics. * He recently even personally left his work at closing time to get me going from a lady friend's home in the adjoining town when, my car was locked in "Park" so that we could leave in time to go to a concert. Now I know that Ken's primarily deals with Toyota/Lexus but I had an Acura how different could they be right!?!? For those non-car geniuses like myself there's ALOT different! Cool thing was Ken's staff didn't shy away from the challenge. My Acura Legend needed rack & pinion steering replaced which was done in a timely matter for a great price. Want to know the best part? They did such a thorough job I didn't even have to get an alignment which would have costed me more money. Don't get me wrong Ken's staff recommended I still do it to be safe but that was 4 years ago and no issues with uneven tire wear etc... Any time I have a family member or friend or just random people I recommend Ken and his professional staff. After taking care of our baby for all that time, we finally agreed to sell it to Ken who then gave the car to his parents. Ken LeVine is like family to us. After some research where to go for a qualified independent Lexus mechanic. I took my 2001 Lexus LS430 to Ken for an oil service and brief check-up. Since it was the first time for me to go to them, and the first time owning a Lexus, I asked a lot of questions and was allowed to look over the mechanics shoulders (after confirming with Ken, and from a safety zone). I have been taking my Toyota Venza to Ken for over 6 years now. I started coming here as soon as my car was out of the pre purchased maintenance from the dealership. He never tries to add on extra work and whenever he has said "you might want to consider...." i add it on if i can afford and if I can't there is no issues. The car is coming up on 170,000 miles and i have to attribute 50% to it being a toyota, and 50% to ken and his team for always taking care of it. Thank you Ken! read more

My battery died and I got to Ken's quality after closing. Ken was still at his shop. He stayed late and changed my battery for me. This was so great because it meant that I did not have to be without my car. I so appreciate the fact that he stayed late and that he realized how important it is to have a working car!! If he had not gone above and beyond, a dead battery would have become a much bigger deal. Cannot say enough about how much I appreciated his efforts. read more

Ken and his mechanics have been taking cared of our LX's and RX's for over 30 years and we never had any issues with the maintenance or the quality of services. He and his crew have been very helpful and professional in keeping our cars in top shape. I said please I need later in the day. He ignored my called. Yesterday I said I would even pay a cancellation fee of $25 as I just became employed again. He said basically he told me when I can take my car else where and blocked my number today. He also said that money was food off his table. Well I have gone meals without food as I have been broke. But I'm sorry I think my mom and that with a stroke in ICU could be forgiven. Yeah if you pay his fees under his schedule things are great. But if you messed up as he put it your fired as a customer!

I took my vehicle into the All Pro expecting the worse, but actually found George to be honest and up front about the repairs. When it comes to cars I'm fairly knowledgeable so I was particularly interested in his diagnostics capabilities and recommended repairs. It seems that he has experience working on my particular vehicles transmissions and understand some of the shortcomings related to the way the transmission was being cooled. All in all, I think George was fair with his pricing and I was happy with his repairs.
