A couple of months ago, I was at the car dealer's and was told that my rear brakes will need to be changed soon. So I took my car to get my brakes done by Ken since he did my front ones at a fraction of the price. I took the car in at 9am and his guy checked and confirmed that I do need new brakes now. He took my info and put in the order for the part. Says the parts should be there around 1pm today. So I went and took my car to run errands. I was called at 12:45p to say the part is here. So I went back to Ken's. Got taken care of right away. and left 45 minutes later with new rear brakes. Ken also told me that my tires are still good for a few more months (consistent with what he told me last time) and I should wait for the rebate that should be happening in Feb/March to get some good deals on some Michelin's. Quick, honest, service. What else can I ask for? ***I know to always call ahead to see if Ken can do tire rotaitons. What I like about Ken is that he won't swindle you. I trust his expertise completely, and if I'm a little short of money, he'll guide me toward a more economical brand of tire without compromising quality, and then give me the pro's and con's regarding his choice. Another place might tell me that my tires are ready to go and act like I have terminal cancer, but Ken will say, "these tires got a few thousand miles left on them," giving me the option to return later. I also like the speed of the service. I've been stranded at Costco for hours waiting for my car but at Ken's, depending how busy they are (and there's alway customers), my car will be ready in about an hour, if that. I had some nails in my tire and took it to Ken to take a look. He promptly reviewed and checked the tire which luckily the nails were not deep enough and didn't puncture the tire. He took the whole tire off to check it. We found nails on one other tire and he quickly checked that and also those nails did not puncture the tire. Ken went around the other tires to check them, checked out pressure on all tires and reset my pressure sensor on my car. With all that work he did, he did not charge me anything because he didn't have to fix a flat! I have never had this type of great customer service from any auto place I have ever gone. I tried to give him some money because I felt he had gone above and beyond to just ensure my tires were good and spent some good time on it but he wouldn't take it. Bought a pair of Goodyear Eagles LS2 22 inch tires and the deal I got was incredible. You can research online and see they range from $155 to $210. Just Tires wanted $155, but when you look at all the surcharges, damn things will cost you $230 once all is said and done, Ken's price $165, all in with free rotation and repairs for the life of the tire. You cannot beat that anywhere. Kevin (Ken's son) the proprietor is honest and always does his best as well as his team to assist you. What you get as a customer; honest prices and top notch service, and an establishment that stands behind their work and products. Catch a nail a year down the road, pull in and get it repaired for free. (Remember to at least tip the techs, they did it for free!) Once you become Kevin's customer, you're a customer for life. As a tip, Kevin can't hold big inventories, but give him a call and give him some time and he'll get the tires you want at a price you'll be very satisfied with. According to their description they do sell used and new tires. I ordered tires on TireRack.com to be shipped directly to Ken's. Ken's said not a problem we'll call you as soon as they arrive. I checked the tracking online and Ken's even called me BEFORE the delivery notification. I went directly over and they had a jack under my car before I could even finish getting out of it. My new tires were installed and alignment was done within 90 minutes of arrival! Costco would have had me waiting for a day or two. Other shops "might get to it today."
