Service here has always been pretty kind the few times that I've needed help, and they've always been super responsive if I need help getting payment links reset or changed. Parking lot here is a little on the small side but I've never been here when it's been crazy busy. They also have dollies to use which is always helpful for getting things to and from my car! Will definitely continue to give them my storage business as a result of years of positive experiences! It's a little farther than I would like, but it's easily accessible when I'm on my way up to Seattle anyways, so I make it work.

For the first several years, things were fine -- mostly because of Nicole, the former manager who actually cared and knew what she was doing. I also had 24-hour access, which was essential for me because I store expensive tools I use for work. I got this unit specifically because of that 24/7 access. But once Nicole left, everything went downhill -- fast. Suddenly my on-time payments weren't being recognized, and I started getting flooded with emails and calls claiming I hadn't paid. Totally false. Then came the spotty access. Sometimes I'd get off work and be locked out of my unit for no reason (code wouldn't work). For someone who depends on secure, reliable access -- this was a nightmare. I had always paid at the end of the pay cycle -- and Nicole never had an issue with that. But after years of doing things the same way, I decided to adjust my payment date to avoid the drama. I even paid extra to cover the shift in date. What happened? I showed up, and my unit was locked. To top it off, the new guy working there had a major attitude problem. Didn't explain anything, didn't apologize -- just walked over, unlocked my unit in silence, and walked away like I was the problem. For the last 2.5 years, it's been pure chaos. Constant employee turnover, staff who don't know what they're doing, and a total lack of customer service. It's like they're running a revolving door operation over there. I've since moved to a much better storage facility -- indoors, cleaner, more professional, and half the price. I should have left years ago. Until Storage One at Benson gets its act together and starts hiring competent, respectful staff, do yourself a favor and take your money elsewhere. If you value peace of mind, reliability, and decent customer service, this is NOT the place for you.

The chat is useless as all they do is pass your information to the location so they can call you back (which they won't). Zero interest in customer satisfaction - 1000% interest in profit. UPDATE: got somebody to call me back to tell me why the website price is lower than what I'm paying. She said the "website price is to lure new customers and they will get a rate increase to match what I'm paying in six months." I've rented a storage unit from this location for nearly 3 years. Recently, I visited the unit,…read moreand upon opening the door, discovered my boxes were open, items were moved, and one of my glass tables was even broken. It's pretty apparent to me that someone was in my unit. Upon renting the unit, we were required to purchase a lock from U-Store, which fits into the door. We also put our own padlock on as well. Recently, this location required us to remove our padlock, for a reason they wouldn't make clear to me. They simply stated that if we did not remove the lock ourselves, they would cut it off and charge us a fee for the cutting. We thought this was strange, but removed our lock anyway. No way of knowing if the removal of the lock was connected to the condition of my items, but one can speculate. Additionally, there was a time when I went to access my items, and was unable to enter my unit, as the management had blocked my key from opening the unit. Upon asking the management why my key wasn't working, they said it was because I hadn't paid my bill. Knowing full well my bill was paid, due to the fact I am on their autopay system, I had the clerk check again, and sure enough, my account was in good standing. I had to wait for her to open my unit for me... very suspicious. On top of all the weird things happening with my unit...I literally just called about 10 minutes ago to inquire about how to cancel my account, as I no longer need the storage unit. The woman on the phone was rude, unhelpful, and said halfway through the call, "You know, can I just call you back, because I'm really trying to get something done here." I was taken aback by this attitude, but said, "Okay, sure." I waited for her to ask me for my call back number but instead, she simply said, "Okay," and hung up. We'll see if they actually call back. UPDATE: I wrote my original post around 1PM this afternoon. It's now 4PM, and I was able to finally close out my account. The clerk I spoke with earlier, Ramona, didn't call me back right away, I had to call her back. But she did inform me where the forms were located that I could email in so I could complete the process. While she took my prorated payment over the phone, she also informed me that her manager Jack had notified her of my post, and she apologized for her behavior in our previous phone call. Everyone has bad days, I know that. I've worked in customer service for over 15 years. But telling me that she's 'sorry that I felt some type of way' about our previous interaction doesn't give me much confidence in the authenticity of apology. My one star rating still stands.

So frustrating when it's supposed to be automatic. They also don't reply to emails, so you have to go in during office hours.

I cannot say enough about Skyway Self Storage, and their level of kindness and professionalism…read more Bobby, the on-site manager, is extremely caring and makes sure to see to it that favoritism is not an issue with any occupants; but rather to enforce a secure and inexpensive storage facility, that is well-maintained. If I had a choice of Skyway or commercial outfits, such as Public Storage, Skyway is indeed well-worth the drive; not to mention, locally-owned. Should I ever need further storage in future, they will be at the top of my list.

Bobby the owner was welcoming, attentive, and held boundaries for the space well. My unit was located near a door I could load in from so that was awesome. Overall my items were safe, kept dry and scent free. No security issues which is important for me. The location of this storage facility is unique as it's located on a hill near a bus stop, so loading from a wheeled cart into your car can be a challenge if you park in the hill spots. The movers had no problems though with their hand trucks, so it's not a huge deal but worth mentioning. There are a few level spots you can park in to avoid this. I would definitely store here again knowing that all is safe and and secure here and Bobby really made it a pleasant friendly experience!
