Zero stars should be an option…read more Facilities look nice and staff may seem friendly, but management is terrible. Stay away from StorQuest Storage. Prices increase frequently (sometimes every 3-4 months), and what is promised verbally is later changed or denied. Once you're in, the rules shift and the customer has no real support. Billing is a major concern: auto-pay charges can be inconsistent, additional fees (including insurance) may appear even if you already have coverage, and refunds are extremely difficult to obtain. I have also seen multiple reports from other customers about belongings being auctioned after short delays in payment, even after years of renting. Do not rely on verbal agreements. Document everything. Consider other options.

At one point, my family and I were renting up to five rooms at StorQuest (5890 S 129th St, Seattle,…read moreWA 98178, which is actually within Tukwila city limits). Each customer I encountered whenever I was on the premises complained about bait-and-switch promotional tactics and guest services -- specifically, requiring a renter's driver's license in exchange for borrowing a cart, then leaving and locking the office for unspecified periods of time, forcing a renter to wait for the license, and pushing him off schedule for the rest of his day. Having rented from the company for about four years between 2021 and 2025, wherever I can, I share my own terrible experiences with the company's opportunistic behavior, shameless abandonment of good-faith business practices, and creative accounting. As many online reviews show, the company and its parent William Warren are unethical, have been for a long time, and are quite comfortable with it. Do yourself a favor and skip national storage companies altogether, and go with a Mom-and-Pop if you can still find one.

After obtaining the pricing online, where I found special pricing - compared to the walk-in pricing, I stopped by the office to make sure I selected the correct size. Tracey, the onsite manager, agreed to show me a few different sized units ensuring I had the appropriate size for my items. With the proper size selected, Tracey let me know to complete the online application to obtain the special pricing, and to return at the desired move-in date. It's plain to see that Tracey is in command of the property. She ensures the common spaces are clean, secured, and ready for customers. She certainly cares about making the storage experience easy, seamless, and pleasant (as much as it could be anyhow!). Tracey helped me overcome a discrepancy between the unit I wanted, and what was offered to me online. Her customer service skills are stellar. You're welcome to bring your own padlock with you on your move-in date. This enables you to avoid an added fee to purchase a lock from PS. There is plenty of parking and off loading/loading spaces inside a secure gated zone, accessed by your code. There are several carts available for you to use to get your items to/from your unit. The building includes 3 floors, with restroom access on floors 1 and 2. It's worth noting that the access codes only work during the hours of 6am to 9pm, this is not a 24 hour access facility. I appreciated the well-lit common spaces, clean hallways and bathrooms, and easy off loading/loading zones. I highly recommend this location if you are in need of storage.

This was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've had…read more I reserved a truck for Thursday, only to arrive and find that there was no truck available and no one in the office. After the inconvenience and stress of having to change plans during a move, we finally obtained a truck from another location on Saturday. I also rented moving blankets that I ended up not using. Before returning the truck, I called and was told I could receive a refund for the unused blankets as long as it was handled while the store was open or after the truck was checked in. However, when I returned the truck, I was told that wasn't possible, that it wasn't company policy, and that the employee had no idea who would have told me that. The issue wasn't even the $20. What was unacceptable was the way I was treated. The employee told me that maybe I needed a different profession if I was arguing over $20. That comment was rude, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. Moving is expensive and stressful, and every dollar matters. To make matters worse, we returned the truck with more gas than required, so we actually spent extra money there as well. The lack of communication, failure to honor what I was told over the phone, and disrespectful customer service left a very negative impression. I expected much better from U-Haul.

I've never had a worse experience than at this dealership and I've rented from U-Haul for years…read more The GM here is very disrespectful. He will interrupt you mid-sentence and keep repeating himself, getting louder as he does it. Super unprofessional. I rented a 20' trailer and wasn't told it had to be returned to that specific location. I called the GM and asked him to make it right since I wasn't told (I wouldn't rent this U-Haul if I was told that given I was traveling over 75 miles) and he told me I was basically lying to him since he confirmed his employee did tell me I had to return it to that specific location. The employee lied (I get it, he needs the job) but the GM is not willing to help right wrongs. The GM said my only option was to pay the $500 wrong location fee or take the trailer back to the right location (PAYING FOR THE MILES). What a nightmare. I won't be using U-Haul again. Hiring movers from now on...
