Dr. Borgfeld performed it and the next morning, still in the hospital I noticed bleeding under the skin. He said it was just a hematoma and it would stop. Well, five days later I had to go into the hospital for a transfusion, as I had lost over a pint of blood which was pooling in the lower abdomen. I also had extreme pain. In March I had to go back to the ER and was diagnosed with enlarged kidneys because the ureters were both narrowed in the lower abdomen and I was near kidney failure. They had to put in stints which caused extreme pain and bleeding. I pretty much spent a month in bed because the pain was so bad. The ureters are better, but will not totally recover. I would avoid this doctor as he did not do anything about the bleeding when I called his office several times. The pooling of the blood in the lower abdomen caused the kidney problems.

Make sure you watch his YouTube videos of surgery because they give you a good idea of the amazing gifts that God has given Dr. Parker and I knew I was in good hands.

I contacted them they said I needed to contact my insurance and now I am getting called by them saying I am going to be sent to collections. So the surgeon I would give 5 stars but office staff 2 or less.

I went to see Dr. Suh last July because of his fabulous reviews. I went because of a bump, maybe a cyst, on the top of my foot above my big toe that was painful when my shoe rubbed against it. He told me he would remove it, and that the X-Rays showed that I had bone on bone in my big toe, and that he could put a pin in it to fix it. At that time, I had no pain in my big toe, even though my records say that I did. I agreed to the surgery. Today, after seeing the X-rays, I saw that I have a plate at the joint, not a pin, but several screws. I never knew that because I had never seen the X-ray taken after surgery. Communication was severely lacking. My new doctor explained what had happened to my foot and how the second toe is paying a part in all this because of the toe surgery, and why I am in pain and why it is getting worse. During my time with Dr. Suh, I bought several pairs of shoes that were recommended, and I spent $500 on custom orthotics that I can't wear. When I purchased them, I was told they could be adjusted if they didn't work, but when I went back to Dr. Suh he told me they couldn't be adjusted and I would need to buy a bigger shoe. I now have pain in my foot that I didn't have before I saw Dr. Suh. I wish I had known last July what I know now. I would have steered clear of him.

At 9:04 am I went into the surgery room with the doctor's assistant (there was a monitor with the time right in front of me). I waited for the doctor until 9:30 am (when dr.Shillingburg came in, I looked at the time on the monitor again). A few minutes later I got an injection from deep sleep . They called to my husband at 10:01am so he could pick me up! I'm 100% sure surgery was about 30 minutes, maybe even less!! But the doctor's assistant lied so much that the surgery lasted 47 minutes! REALLY??? And she said the surgery started at 8:52am! What a shame! Omg ! Check your cameras before lying to a patient who trusted you! At 8:52am, I was still standing at the checkout, sorting out the bill you gave me and trying to add $3,000 for an additional service I didn't need, in addition to $3,313 for one tooth extraction! I asked for it to be removed because the bill was already huge! It was about 6.000$ ! CRAZY ! They are the most expensive in this area, but they turned out to be such scammers! I'm shocked!

I was able to get into surgery within a week (the condition wasn't emergent, but did need to be dealt with), and the procedure went really well. Follow up went smoothly, and the information I was given about recover times and expectations was spot on. The office staff were also very professional, especially in keeping me informed about the status of appointments, and in working with the surgical center in Southlake. Of course, I hope I don't have to have a similar procedure again, but I have been very happy with how well this went, and definitely recommend Dr. Elieson and the Mid-Cities staff.

Shortly before surgery, Dr. Lester came to my room at Denton Regional and introduced himself as well as went over the situation at hand as well as a variety of possible courses of action that could be taken depending on what he found in the O.R. Thankfully, the less invasive option ended up being what was used. Dr. Lester communicated in a clear manner with my wife when I was in the recovery room and was also regular with daily visits in the hospital until my discharge. I'd also like to recognize Dr. Connaughton, who was the Dr. on staff the day of my discharge, for his professionalism and reassurance. Both of the doctors have a good bedside manner. I have had two follow-ups in the week since, one with the nurse, and the other with Dr. Lester. I was impressed with amount of time spent by Dr Lester as I had several questions. If you find yourself in a non-emergent situation, where you are able to pick and choose a general surgeon, I highly endorse Dr. Stephen Lester.
