Very delicious. The atmosphere is fresh and inviting. They also have a nice variety of products for sale. My husband and I had a wonderful time at Kephi Greek Kitchen. The atmosphere is old world with a hip twist, and the Greek menu is superb. Manu and Kate were there to provide helpful tips, & such attentive, friendly service. We found the Melitzanosalata (grilled eggplant) appetizers with warm pita bread paired well with Greek wine. You can't go wrong with Arnisa Paidakia (Grilled Lamb Chops) as a main course. They are juicy and flavorful, served with a side of sautéed vegetables & potato wedges baked with lemon, garlic, and olive oil. Be sure to save room for dessert! They not only have traditional Greek favorites such as baklava, but also a very wide assortment of other Greek desserts to eat (or take home for a midnight snack). All in all, this new restaurant is a winner. We thought the food was perfectly prepared, and the friendly service made for such a memorable night! read more

If this restaurant served only its world-class octopus it would be a rival for top dining in Williamsburg. Very cool restaurant and great inviting atmosphere- however, the manager I believe the name is to be, "Luka" made it the worst time I have ever had. He deliberately disrespects his employees in front of people like us who were trying to eat. When someone asked him if he could be nicer, he fired them blankly without reason. There could have been more to the story, but yelling in front of the visitors was too much. Later in the evening, he started coming to tables and he came to ask how our dining experience was.. a friend I was with said, "It was great until I saw you be rude to an employee". (for her helping an elderly out the door instead of managing the hostess desk.) he rolled his eyes in front of my family, friend and I- then responded soon after, "I have to ask this to every table." then he walks away. I loved the workers, they all were so polite and helpful- and our waitress got a very great tip for being outstanding. However, "Luka" the manager- has made it where we cannot go back. I feel very awful for those who work under him. read more

First time here. The gyro was great. Service was all so wonderful. It would be great if they had more of a vegetarian option for friends and relatives though. Experienced with Greek Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs Florida which always had vegetarian options as well it would be nice if Kephi could incorporate couple or few extra dishes. My wife and I tried this on the first week open. We were there for a late lunch. The staff and the food was great. We began with an appetizer and had lunch sandwiches. It is not often in life that you come a cross a restaurant that is so perfect in many ways and this wonderful Greek restaurant clearly hits the mark. When you enter Kephi, you are struck with its beauty and comfortable ambiance. We were greeted by the owner who was a delight and from there it just got better. The restaurant offers an array of wonderful Greek foods and the selections were numerous. We started off with the eggplant spread, Melitzanosalata, served with warm pita bread, which was superb. My wife and I had the kosti arniso which is braised lamb shank served with pasta. The lamb was tender and succulent. I highly recommend it. After lunch we loaded up with wonderfully prepared Greek pastries for dessert which would have envied my Grandmother's recipes. Before leaving we watched a video being displayed on the wall showing two individuals working in an olive orchard. The owner informed us that the olives grown in Greece are family owned and the olives and olive oil sold in Kephi are from their land and are for sale at reasonable prices. BE AWARE....this business will take private information and distrubute it to third parties. I never provided my email after payjng for dinner, but as soon as I got in my home there was an email from SQUARE. Never approved or "op'd in". VERY new business. Service fair at best. Significant communication issues with ALL staff. While waiting at bar had to ask several times for a water (w/ lemon) for my guest. When she brought water, no lemon. Watched and observed a waiter or an asst. bartender half prepare a cocktail for someone. He left it sitting on the bar while he went and did some thing else, came back "several" minutes later splashed some soda in the glass and apparently took it to customer. Nice watered down drink for 10$. Our meal was fair, but not worth the wait or service. The EXTREMELY inexperienced staff made dinner less than enjoyable. The staff was curtious, but appeard like "chickens running around..." Guessing a family run business. Really hope they can get their act together before tourist season or it will be over quick. read more

I feel bad writing a critical review, but do so in hopes that the ownership will correct their problems. To begin, the starting hummus had no flavor, and was served with something resembling "doughy" sub/sandwich bread, rather than pita. The ownership is extremely inflexible, not good for customer service. We even offered to pay more for vegetables instead of pasta, but was told no substitutions on that dish. With a heavy type dish such as a lamb shank, a plate of spaghetti underneath, which by the way does not seem Greek, is not a good combination. After telling us that my wife's gyro could have a side salad instead of french fries, the dish was served with fries. The fries were a coated institutional type - not good at all. The gyro meat was sparse, and also average at best. While the interior design is excellent, customer service and food quality clearly are not. When an establishment is competing for local and tourist business in an area such as Williamsburg, ownership needs to be more flexible and accommodating to customers. I also kindly suggest they review the quality of their ingredients, as also stated in a review on 3/26/18 by another customer. In addition, the chef needs to consider what types of combinations make sense during a time when people are watching what they eat. read more
