The Snow Girl Roll was top tier. However, the miso soup was disappointing, and the service from the older gentleman made me feel unwanted. While I was being asked, he kept pushing for my order to be taken to-go. One of the women employees kindly asked if my food was to-go, and he responded, "Yes, to-go," as if I wasn't welcome to eat there. This place popped up as a new sushi option in Door Dash -- so I guess they replaced the previous sushi place that was in this location? Either way, I figured I'd give it a shot since I was craving sushi. I ordered miso soup, salmon and tuna nigiri, the fancy roll (shrimp tempura, mango, cucumber and lobster), and the salmon avocado roll. I'll do a quick rundown of each -- The miso soup was delicious - very flavorful and packed with tofu. The salmon nigiri was good, the white tuna was off. I expect white tuna to melt in your mouth like salmon, but this was chewy. Tasted like perhaps a different fish. The fancy roll was YUM! Great combination of flavors that popped in your mouth. The salmon avocado was just kind of eh. I'm not sure why the flavors were weird, but the texture combination wasn't on point. So, overall, my meal was hit or miss. And perhaps the most frustrating -- it was delivered with no wasabi, fresh ginger or chopsticks. I expect these side items as standard for a sushi order, so I was really surprised when I didn't get any of them. I'm not sorry I tried them because that miso was baller -- but I'll likely order from other places where the flavors and service are more consistent across the board. read more

The service is not welcoming at all! We spent $47 and couldn't have a cup or glass of water while we waited for our order. Only bottled water to purchase was offered. There were a few of us in there for lunch. The lunch menu consists of some bento boxes, and sushi. I went with the two rolls. There weren't a lot of options for the two rolls because most of them were actually vegetarian. So if you're a vegetarian, this is a good place for you! Presentation was really cool! Great restaurant! Large number of options of sushi rolls that are well presented. Service was quick to provide menus, drinks, and gave a good suggestion for an appetizer. We split the Gyoza and house salad for a starter. Gyoza was great. House salad was small, but dressing was very good. Had 6 rolls for our entree (we indulged!). Spider, ichiban, spicy white tuna, salmon, volcano, and cucumber. All were delicious. I've been here a few times before and felt welcome. I came today 5/29 at 7:50PM with my fiancé and twins. I was told we could only sit at the sushi bar with 3 chairs. When I asked can we sit in one of the 5 open booths I was told no we have plenty of reservations and she just walked away. She was very rude and I felt like my family was not welcome. I was at a nearby conference and wanted something healthy for dinner. I walked in to a beautifully decorated restaurant, complete with a blooming silk cherry tree. It was such a wonderful experience, I went there the next day also and am currently trying to decide about going again tonight!! The first day I had ebi (shrimp) sushi and a special maki roll with tempura shrimp, avocado, cucumber, spicy mayo and eel sauce on top. It was delivered to my table on a tiered wooden serving dish with cherry blossoms and an urn with billowing clouds of what I'm assuming was dry ice. It was lovely and so delicious. The second night I had a California roll and 2 pieces each of ebi and tuna sushi. All fantastic and served on a platter with what I think was a banana leaf and a pink carnation, which is brightening up my hotel room now. It also had a dish with billows of cold steam. The restaurant plays quiet instrumental cello music (some were hymns but not all) which is very calming. An absolutely lovely experience each time. Edit: I did go back for the third night. Upfront I want you to remember this place is totally new, the ambience and decor is neat, traditional and quaint. I have eaten sushi at many places around the country so I feel like I know a little about it. The freshness of my sushi from Toro Sushi was impeccable. But you're paying for that freshness as well. I would like to see a better presentation of the sushi itself meaning more sauce maybe some smelt roe, something for the amount of money we paid for 2 rolls that were not that big. I'm thinking they're just trying to get their capital built up and hopefully they lower their price a little bit in the future. Starting a new business is tough in today's economy, I take that into consideration. I will be eating here again because the food was tasty and fresh and sometimes it's worth a few more bucks to get that. I feel confident giving Toro Sushi those few extra bucks.
