The bike he wanted was not assembled completely or properly. The original sales person said he wanted another associate, Donovan, to check the bike and make any necessary adjustments. Donovan did a complete inspection of the bike, finding several missteps by the person who had originally assembled the bike. However Donovan remained pleasant and informative and did not criticize the other staff member. He checked every feature on the bike and fixed any deficiencies. We appreciated his knowledge and professionalism.

These are the stores I would go to and buy from: Running Warehouse, Road Runner Sports, REI, Tennis Warehouse, The Good Feet Store, K-man Bikes and FitnessEdge SLO. Note if the Dick's employees have a yellow badge, they have only been there less than 3 months. Almost all other employees have only been there less than a year. The selection was great, and i found a suit that fit. I also picked up fins to play with at the pool, as they were sturdy and just the right size while being reasonably priced. I almost didn't; i'm retired and don't need to hurry. I almost left a few times interacting with her. The dressing room had marvelous handrails in handy places. Everything was clean. I went to another floor representative to ask about the fins, as the woman i was talking to didn't seem familiar at all with sports equipment. She may have been new, but in that case, maybe her owning that learning curve might ease interactions. But there was no owning any of her pushy 'help', to which she was bringing no knowledge or inside information, nor did she ask anyone else if they knew more about suit sizing. I hope she gets more conscientious of her walk-in customers; brick and mortar stores need good help, not just place holders.

It was pretty early on a Sunday and at the time they were one of the few shops that were open. I began talking to the employee and lo and behold the employee was the owner. I mentioned to her that since I was a kid my family would make annual trips to Pismo and we always came into her shop because it was "cool" and wasn't like anything we had in the Valley. This tradition has been going on for 39 years now. I mentioned to her that since having my own son (9y/o) he loves to go in and check out the merch. He had been looking for a Joe Montana jersey and during this particular visit and the one prior, the store was out of stock. The owner was nice enough to ask for my phone number and said when they got a new shipment she would let me know. Well, she held true to her word and contacted me about a week ago. We conversed via text and I asked for shipping details, price, etc and she was gracious enough to ship me the jersey and it arrived within a couple of days. The point of this post is that The Sports Forum is unlike any other sports memorabilia store you'll fined in or out of the area. The fact that the owner went out of her way to contact me and take the time to ship me the jersey speaks volumes of her and her business. I'd shop here or contact the Forum before going to a large chain store (i.e. LIDS) for their uniqueness, hospitality and prices. Thank you again and we hope to pop in soon!
