Absolutely (coco) BOMB. This post tanning on the beach 10/10. We got the coconut sundae with mango, thai tea, pandan ice cream and fresh mango. It came in such an adorable coconut shell. The mango ice cream was my favorite flavor. And holy the fresh mango was sooo ripe and sweet. BLESS MANGO SEASON!!! The pandan and thai tea flavors were also good and all this for just $10 is actually A STEAL!! It was a good portion for 2 people :) It also came with coconut meat -- I wasn't a fan of it, but my friend was! Please come try!! We came on a Sunday afternoon, and it was packed! There is limited seating outside, but unfortunately we weren't able to get a spot.
After driving to Linda Vista to try out Coco Bomb, it makes sense to me that they opened up their second home in Convoy. I recently went to Coco Bomb with an interest in their ice cream. I love coconut flavor as it is already creamy and silky in texture. Many were enjoying their coconut ice cream bowl, so I wanted to do the same. You get three scoops of your choice ice cream. The mango sold out that day so we weren't able to try it! Our picks were the coconut, pandan, and Thai tea. My favorite had to be coconut, of course! This is a great place for your favorite Thai desserts as they even sell mango sticky rice, jelly desserts, and even drinks like coffee, pudding, and Ruam Mit. The service is friendly and seating is a bit limited, so I'm excited for their upcoming location to be open.
Wow.... what an amazing dessert spot to beat the heat! Such inviting, cute decor tucked away on the side of the street. Came in for their mango sticky rice and ended up with that and a scoop of their pandan ice cream to try. Both were SOOO amazing and not too sweet! The sticky rice was hot & fresh, while the mango was cold and perfectly sweet and ripe. It's one of my favorite desserts when done right! Such a nice sweet treat. The pandan ice cream was delicious as well and not too sweet. I want to come back to try their famous coconut sundae! The rest of the menu looks amazing as well
SOOO excited to find a place focused on Thai desserts!!! They have a large variety from drinks to modern and traditional desserts that are largely coconut themed. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. Next time I'd like to try the coconut ice cream with peanuts and bread which is an old style street dessert! Sundae in young coconut - 5/5, definitely worth the splurge! I love that after finishing the sundae, you can eat the coconut meat inside. We got mango, coconut, and Thai tea ice cream scoops. The coconut is soo refreshing and the mango is very fruit forward without any artificial flavor or being a sorbet! Thai tea is on the sweeter side, but very delicious. Mango sticky rice - 5/5, the sticky rice is cooked well and not wet! The coconut sauce is not too sweet and the mangos were super sweet!!! They did justice to an iconic staple!

The quality at the shop and the booths at the farmers markets are all consistent and everything is delicious. I was excited to try their other ice cream flavors too. They let me sample two in the store and I tried their Thai tea and mango. To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of them. The mango one was too creamy and the Thai tea one didn't taste like Thai tea. Their coconut they've mastered to perfection though. Stick with the OG mango sticky rice combo, add ice cream, and you'll love it. The shop is small but there's plenty of parking in the back. We got our food pretty quickly too!
Parking is very tight and limited here. You can park on the right side where it says "30 mins," other than that I've seen other people park at the convenience store next door. Inside is very small, about 5 tables. Outside about a few. So, we placed an order for Thai iced tea, mango with sticky rice, and coconut sundae. We were lucky enough to find a table inside. The rush slowed down after 6:30 pm on a Saturday. Service was very friendly and they worked efficiently. Prices were fair. -Thai iced tea 5 - probably one of the best ones I've ever had. I recommend getting one with your dessert. -mango with sticky rice 5 - I love how bountiful the mangos are, usually I don't get this much. Mangos were sweet and the rice was good. -coconut sundae 5 - this was really good. We picked ube, coconut, and pandan. My favorite one was pandan. Ube has a more subtle flavor whereas the coconut and pandan have a stronger taste.
Unfortunately, not worth the visit or trek to go out of the way to get this. This is just constructive criticism, but the ice cream here was not that great. It was very icy and not creamy. I really wanted to like it, but the ice cream completely missed the mark for me. The Thai tea did not taste like Thai tea at all, it had a more deep smokey flavor?? The pandan was also just very light and not as good as others I've tried before. The coconut ice cream was probably the best of them all. However, as mentioned, all of them were very icy and not creamy or smooth. The service was friendly.
Found out about Coco Bomb from the Hillcrest farmers market and wanted to visit their storefront to try other ice cream flavors! Service is quick and friendly. Sizable amount of seating available to enjoy your desserts. Make sure to account for the lack of parking provided. I got the coconut sundae with Thai tea, pandan, and mango icecream -- such a generous portion of fresh coconut, fruit, and coconut icecream. Highly recommend pandan flavor but all flavors are done really well. The sundae also comes with mango and coconut slices.

Mango and coconut? Say less. This was such a refreshing dessert especially on a hot day. I loved the incorporation of all the parts of a coconut in one dessert. It was so yummy and pleasing to the eye. Service was quick and accommodating when ordering (since it was my first time). It's a pretty small area but still with seats in almost every corner as well as outdoors! Definitely a try if you pass by!

We ordered the Coconut Sundae, Mango Sticky Rice, and Thai Tea. My boyfriend wanted to try their pudding, but they were sold out. They were also out of mango-flavor ice cream. You can pick three different flavors of ice cream for the sundae. I pick Ube, Coconut, and Thai Pandan ice cream. The coconut sundae was really good. The flavors were tasty and not too sweet. For the topping, I pick mango with condensed milk. The mango was fresh and sweet. Portion for the mango sticky rice was pretty big. It didn't take too long for the order to be ready. The staff was nice. This place is worth trying if you like mango and coconut desserts. It is too bad we don't live in San Diego. I would definitely go back to try other items on their menu.
Coco Bomb is the best Mango Sticky rice you will have in SD! I was lucky enough to stumble upon their tent at the OB Farmer's Market and was blown away with how delicious this was. I've had many mango sticky rice desserts in SD but this one was phenomenal. The rice was perfectly cooked and flavored, and the mango was out of this world. The thai tea had a great balance of rich and creamy to sweet, and was such a good addition to the dessert. I will definitely be back!

stopped here couple months ago tried this location. Just enjoying their delicious sweet coconut treats specially the Coco Sundae with 3 scoops of ice cream and fresh mango topping and i added extra coconut meat ohhh yummy, liked their mango sticky rice and I see other great menu items which I have to return for after they complete renovations soon. Service great and the inside is so cutely decorated with their cocobomb mascot and small seating area and yes air condition to cool on a warm summer day. Staff friendly street parking read more
Coco Bomb is so adorable. The desserts and coffee are great, the seats are cute, and the interior is kawaii. My hubby and I ordered the coconut sundae which came with 3 scoops of whatever ice cream you wanted. We did two scoops of coconut ice cream and one vanilla. It was topped with fresh mango and coconut flesh. The sundae was perfect because it wasn't overly sweet and the mango and coconut ice cream paired well. I ordered the bar bin to go. Think squares of coconut pancakes. I was disappointed thinking they'd be on the sweeter and stickier side but they were somewhat dry and not sweet at all. The coffee drinks are excellent. We ordered an iced caramel macchiato to go and it was creamy and coffee forward. Parking and seating are limited so you may need to take it to go or share space with your neighbor. Cute little spot to hang out with friends and grab some ice cream! If it gets busy, seating can be limited, but we didn't mind standing while enjoying our sweets. We ordered the Coconut Water, which was super refreshing after a long day out, and the Coconut Sundae. The staff was so friendly and took the time to recommend some ice cream flavors to pair with the coconut. You get to choose three flavors, which was a fun bonus! This is officially my new favorite dessert spot in town. Not sure why it took me so long to finally check this place out because I honestly wanted to try everything on the menu. I LOVE that most of their menu items are vegan and gluten-free. We ended up getting the mango sticky rice and a coconut sundae with mango, Thai iced tea, and coconut ice cream scoops, topped with fresh mango which was served in an actual coconut, which was such a fun touch. There are a few indoor tables, but the outdoor seating area is especially cute. My only regret is not coming with more people so I could've tried even more items read more

Finally got to try this place and I was super impressed!! Love me a good Asian sweet treat- Ordered the mango sticky rice and it comes with a generous portion- the mangoes were sweet and the sticky rice was cooked to perfection! Their Thai pandan ice cream with coconut was also so so good. The coconut was super fresh and it came on a bed of Hawaiian bread on the bottom. Overall the flavors of everything went really well together and I think the prices were fair. The service was quick and they were really friendly - even let my dog sit inside with us since it was raining. It's in an unassuming plaza but there's plenty of parking. There's seats both inside and outside. Will definitely be back again! read more

I'm a lover of anything coconut, so of course I had to try this place. I went a little overboard and ordered one of everything. I got the coconut cake, Thai coconut jelly, mango sticky rice, ruam mit, and coconut pancakes. I enjoyed everything except the mango sticky rice. The mango-to-rice ratio is bad--hardly any mango and way too much rice. I kind of regret ordering that. Out of everything I ordered, I especially enjoyed the ruam mit. It's like a dessert drink and has a lot of toppings. It reminds me of Vietnamese chè thái. Everything else is good, but nothing really blew my mind. It's not something I haven't had before, but I still enjoyed it. read more

Although small the shop offers a variety of drinks, ice cream, and other desserts. I appreciate their patience and guidance through their menu since it was my first time. I've been wanting to try this place for so long and it was so worth the wait. The ice cream flavors are so wonderful, I got mango, pandan and coconut. The pandan was surprisingly my favorite. The coconut was to die for as well. I got it with sticky rice (you must do this for the full experience). It was literally to die for and there's not many dessert places with this similar concept. My order came out super fast, the cashier was very sweet. There's not a lot of parking so just prepare for that. The ambiance was nice and peaceful. The place was quant and small but it fit the vibe. Definitely a mom and pop shop with authentic flavors. I will be going back many many many times. I loved it here. 10/10. read more
Now this is a niche place but it may be a niche you never knew you needed to try. I tried the sundae ($10), which is huge and can be split among 2-3 people. The coconut ice cream was so creamy and fresh. The ice cream, coupled with small pieces of coconut meat, ripe mango and sticky rice made a potent combination. The seating area is very small, but outside they have cute little tables decorated like a tropical jungle. The inside has an almost chemical smell to it though. My 3 year old literally covered her nose and said "smells bad" so we had to sit outside lol. read more

Coconut Sundae w/ 3 scoops (thai tea, thai pandan, mango). Love the coconut & mango slices so much. The ice cream flavors were also spot on! The only thing I don't like is how the ice cream is not creamy. It's very much on the icy side. The thai tea ice cream was the worst because I had to jam into it and break it apart with my spork. I'd still come back though; the menu is wide and I'd want to try other things! read more
Super fast service and their icecream is sooo good! My favorite flavor was the coconut which I was surprised about since I usually don't like coconut. Their sticky rice was also perfectly sweet and paired really well with everything. I also liked how they decorated the outdoor seating, giving it a tropical vibe. not the best picture but the dessert was the BOMB. the location was very small inside and out. we got our order pretty quickly though. i got the pandan and coconut ice cream. my boyfriend is a huge fan of pandan and it was his first time trying that flavor (in general). the toppings i got were the jackfruit and mango & sticky rice with a drizzle of condensed milk. i got the sticky rice too because my boyfriend has never tried it and we didn't want to get a separate order of sticky rice. they sell the sundaes that they put in an actual coconut but we were too full to get three scoops of ice cream. i will definitely be bringing my family here to try this because i know they'll love it read more

I love coconut flavored desserts, so I knew I had to come try this place out while I was in San Diego. We got the coconut sundae with their coconut and thai pandan ice cream. We also added the mango topping and the sticky rice, and when you pick up you're able to request a drizzle of condensed milk on top. The coconut sundae is perfect to share with another person. The ice cream was perfectly sweet, and our topping combo paired perfectly with them. I would definitely recommend adding the sticky rice! Service was extremely quick, and we ordered and got everything within 5 minutes. There's indoor and outdoor dining here, and when we came on a Sunday afternoon there was plenty. I came across this place while I was visiting San Diego few weeks back. I got the coconut sundae with mango, thai tea & coconut flavour ice cream. I absolutely loved it. My most favourite flavour was the thai tea ice cream. I also enjoyed the fresh coconut & mango topping they did on top. I would highly recommend trying this place. The service was excellent. The coconut here is so fresh. I have had the sundae served in the coconut before but recently i had the coconut smoothie and it was refreshing , not overly sweet, and had pieces of coconut to eat inside which was my favorite part. read more
