From cheeses, meats, breads, a pretty extensive frozen section, there are so many treasures you can find here. I came here with my cousin who was looking for some specific food items, side, and purchase anything myself on this trip. Partly because I was gonna be out all day and didn't want the food sitting in my car. But definitely if I plan better next time I'm in San Diego I wanna buy stuff to bring back home. Just a gem of a find. There also seems to be plenty of parking in the area as we parked pretty much right out front.

I should have purchased the Beurre d'Isigny butter here rather than going to Paris, buying Bordier butter vacuum sealed butter, having the hotel freeze it, then paying extra for check in luggage since it's a colder storage area. Cuisenery didn't have Bordier butter but when I was doing my online research, I found that both of the brands I mentioned are pretty good. I actually liked my Beurre d'Isigny butter better, but that's more likely due to it being unsalted versus the salted version I bought in Paris (apparently, you MUST use salted on your bread per the Parisians). They also had a bunch of other frozen foods and condiments, including frozen escargot in puff pastry, frozen baguettes, mustards, and jams.

My name was spelled properly, a short conversation reassured my dessert choice, and as I walked up to retrieve my dessert, the lady met me halfway with a smile (thank you for wrapping so it didn't fall over). The smallest of gestures and niceties are what make leaving the house worth it. GIANDUIA. This cake is nothing you can be prepared for, yet everything you need without setting expectations. The boysenberry was the perfect separation for the waves of chocolate and the subtle crunch of the hazelnut toffee type of layer on the very top. The chocolate mousse was the exact mouth feel needed to separate the rich layers of chocolate cake. I saw, I conquered, and I was yet again impressed by what Extraordinary Desserts so purposefully and gracefully offered. Thank you for healing a bit of my soul I didn't realize was waiting to be healed.

We got to the restaurant around 8:00 PM on Thursday evening. There were 4 of us and the restaurant wasn't super busy, but our server seemed to have all the tables on her service! The menu is decently extensive with a variety of pastas, pizzas and special dishes. I ordered the Canelloni, one of us got a pizza, one got the veal picatta and one got the spaghetti with burrata. Everything came out piping hot and ready to eat. The big dollop of burrata looked sooooo good! My meal was great - the burnt cheese along the edges was delicious! The pizza was tasty and apparently the veal picatta was delicious, too! They ordered a bottle of the Chianti and said it tasted great. I was going to order an Espresso Martini, but not at $22! Overall, the service was great, the food was authentically delicious and the vibe of the restaurant was nice and chill.

We started with the antipasti, which was fresh, plentiful, and the perfect appetizer. To drink, we ordered the house wine, which honestly drank just like a sweet, refreshing sangria, highly recommended if you like a fruitier profile with your pasta! For the main event, the baked lasagna is a must-try. It's rich, cheesy, and packed with flavor. We also ended up ordering three different pizzas because we couldn't decide: The Works (massively loaded with pepperoni, sausage, onions and mushrooms), the White, and the Vegetarian. The crust holds up beautifully under the toppings, and the garlic profile on the white pie was incredible. Make sure you save room for a cannoli at the end. The shell is perfectly crunchy, and the filling is smooth and creamy. The services was excellent. The waiter was very attentive and made sure our drinks were kept filled.
