My family member and I took my iPhone SE in to have the screen replaced. My family member took the phone into the store for me. All seemed well for the first day until the phone no longer could read the SIM card. The SIM card wasn't damaged but the phone doesn't recognize it. I discovered that after the screen replacement the phone had been bent midway down the body there was LCD leakage under the screen. I'm very disappointed with the service we received after the good reviews I had read here. I do not recommend taking devices to this shop. And be cautioned that it can also ruin your warranty and ability to get insurance on your devices in the future, which was something we didn't know since the shop states it could take phone insurance. read more

One of my clients, an author in her 80's had her hard drive fail. I was charged $50 for diagnostic and then credited the $50 with the new 1TB harddrive. I had a backup drive that they also loaded. I was very happy with Kevin's Computer Service...I had brand new equipment that I had installed, but had a few issues with connections, settings, etc. Greg came out and walked me through everything and was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The only reason I am giving this a 4-star rating is that he was about 40 minutes late. When I called 20 minutes after his scheduled arrival time to find out if he was still coming, I was told he would arrive in 10 minutes, but it was still another 20. Although Kevin's Computer Service was not able to fix my laptop, I had a great experience. I spoke with Tyler both on the phone and in person, and described the problems I was having with the computer. He worked diligently on my computer, trying several different solutions. He could have kept working and racking up charges, but he was very honest and charged only the diagnostic fee ($50) after he realized the computer was beyond repair. Called and introduced myself as "Frazzled.". Printer had been acting up - working, not working, crazy error messages, tried the usual remove and restart and redownload over and over. The result: Frazzled. That was yesterday afternoon. Made a remote appt for this am at 9 - he called right on time even a little early. The hard drive on my computer crashed so I took it to the Apple Store where they tested my hard drive and told me it could be that the data could possibly not be recovered. The first mistake I made was taking it to the Apple Store. I had the hard drive replaced but decided to keep the old hard drive. I took the old hard drive to Kevin's and they were able to recover all my data from the hard drive which was a huge relief as I had so much important information that I didn't want to lose. Broke my iphone 6s went to Kevins to get the screen replaced. My phone started pushing buttons on its own a real inconvenience. I returned two days later dropped off my phone and they said it was all fixed. Problems continued to occur after pulling out my phone from the case for a last ditch effort to stop face timing a client for the 11th time in a row the screen had cracked. I returned again to try to get the issue resolved when my phone had disabled itself and they told me the warranty was no longer valid since the screen was cracked. They were kind enough to put a new screen for cost which was 80 dollars. They had no answer when I asked why the phone was not properly fixed when I had brought it in under warranty. read more

It seems in the modern world that you now need an IT guy on speed dial as well as a plumber, electrician, etc so I am glad to have Kevin and team local. Kevin helped me out back in Dec 2012 with a catastrophic hard drive failure and data migration, and I was back last week (July 2017) with another hard drive failure, data migration as well as iTunes/Outlook sync. This time around both Travis and Jose helped me out. Travis worked very hard to recover my data from the fried hard drive, and Jose helped me out with a follow up with the iTunes/iCloud/Outlook. My MacBook Pro's hard drive seized. The "Genius" Bar at the Apple Store diagnosed the problem, but was of very little service beyond that--and that was after a ridiculous automated phone call, an email appointment with a three day lag time, a drive to a mall, and a crowd scrum at the counter, They did mention that data recovery was going to be many hundreds of dollars at a third party shop they recommended... and of course I'd still need a new hard drive. On a whim, I tried the local boys at Kevin's. Tyler took my call, and was extremely professional and helpful. He told me to bring it in, they'd replace the hard drive and most likely could recover all my files for 100 bucks. And oh yeah, they'd have it ready the next morning. They delivered on all fronts, and the bill came in 50 dollars under their quote. What a pleasant experience all around. Kevin and Tyler nailed it.
