Came into the barbershop for my first cut in more than 3 months since the onset of Covid!!! Feels amazing to have a great haircut again! New changes are in place and I was able to schedule online with google. I am beyond confident and comfortable with the safety measures Kev has put into place. So, I found this barber shop on Yelp and read the reviews. The reviews were all positive and, so I decided to give them a try. I was kind of desperate since I accidentally cut a plug outta my hair myself. Lol Anyway, the ad said that they welcomed walk ins, and I went over immediately on a Saturday mid morning. It was only a 10 mins driving from house (another plus). There was ample street parking without meters (another plus). When I walked in a was heartily greeted by the owner Kevin. He was warm and friendly and he knew I was a new customer. There were about 5-7 customers waiting and or getting haircuts. The shop was very clean and organized. Kev, offered me donuts (nice touch), and pointed out the magazine I could peruse as I waited. I felt very comfortable immediately. I waited approximately 40 mins for the next free barber (Geno). He was also very courteous and nice as well. He did a phenomenal job on my haircut. I was very very pleased the my entire experience there. I have found a new home for getting my haircut now that I'm rocking my big chop. Thanks Kev, and Geno for having a place to go to in my community that don't have guys hanging out in front of the business and doesn't smell like incense and a "smoke shop". I found my new home barbershop in LA Biggest fear in the world sometimes is finding another person you trust with your edgeup, but Kev made sure to take care of me and my needs. It wasn't too busy, plenty of space and the classic football talks which is half the experience talking sports, current events and crackin jokes. Love the energy in this place! Kev and Gino are super friendly and everyone here seem to be regulars and one huge family. My first experience here was with Gino. He gave me a sweet fade starting at a 1. Everything was smooth until I asked for about 1/4" to be taken off the top. He busted out the clippers and I thought something was up but decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and see if there was a special technique that he'd implement. But no... :( he started from the back and kinda pulled away from my head as he reached the front of my head... I kindly said "I think that's good!" It may have been my fault for not specifying to use scissors? Then I asked for a straight razor finish for an extra $2. Not terrible but I don't think it's necessary. I give it a 4 because these guys are awesome, they start early, and you can't beat the price! _parking: You can find parking pretty much anywhere - street and the residential streets off of Vernon. I drive from Carson to Kevs for a few reasons. He kills it with the shears on my sons hair type. His lineup is tight and even. He is so down to earth and there isnt a bunch loud cursing shenanigans you find in alot barber shops. He always gives my son that good ole respect/education talk. They did a FANTASTIC job on my hair. I showed the man a photo and he did it EXACTLY the way I wanted it. Very satisfied. Also ended up paying WAY LESS than expected. Beauty salons EASILY wanted 10x (this is not an exaggeration) the amount I paid for the cut. I will be back for maintenance eventually. They now have a longtime customer and I will also be recommending them to any ladies who want their hair cut, because I KNOW they are going to ask where I went. I also love that they are so inclusive and welcoming to women. Some shops have a very off-putting vibe when you walk in. They were welcoming from the moment I walked in. Offering me refreshments, etc. Very nice gentlemen. Kev is a great guy. Highly recommend this shop. Tips are not required, but highly appreciated. I tipped them exceptionally well because of how satisfied I was with their work and their professionalism. Go to this shop! You won't regret it. They are very professional and their prices will blow you away. They could easily charge double or tripple the prices they currently charge. Look past all the "Hollywood" BS and get yourself a barber that KNOWS what he/she's doing. They've been here close to or over 30yrs. I'd say that's a pretty strong indication. Kev is a genuine good guy, he has good customer service and he can cut hair. I must say they are sometimes kinda slow on the volume of heads getting done in an hour but if you need a cut and have some time to kill ask for Kev. read more

Had a disastrous morning at another shop so I was on the hunt to find someone to help me out. Took a look at Yelp and found this shop. Called and was told there was a wait but to come in anyway. They had 5 barbers on duty and when I walked in, I was greeted right away. The shop had an old school feel with immediate respect in the air. Kev was courteous and attentive. He gave me the cut I asked for and even made some suggestions. All the barbers were pleasant and the atmosphere was welcoming, and some times that is not the case when you are a woman. Not the case here at all. Loved my experience and I love my cut. The wait was what was expected, especially because it was a Saturday and everyone was trying to get fresh for the night :) I am def going back.
