My experience here was amazing and they were very attentive to the details. I went for a gel French manicure and regular pedicure. Manicure: The nails on my ring fingers tend to have a smaller nail bed and longer tip and I was worried that a French manicure with a clear base would look weird. Susan(I think that was her name) reassured me she took it into account for the thickness of the white strip. Pedicure: This was done by another tech but I didn't catch her name. She was very thorough and I was equally impressed. My pinky toe nail is extremely small but she was able to paint it neatly. Came here on a Thursday, 1pm. The owner was with someone and said 30 min wait. I came back in 20 and her timing was accurate. I was in the chair by 1:30. There were 4 workers including the owner herself at this time. The place was fairly clean, I've seen cleaner. I like the gel manicure but the way she did my cuticles was a bit rough. Around my nails aren't the smoothest at all. The workers are nice and i guess it was a decent spot to go to on my lunch break in the area. Very bad sanitary conditions as I have never seen these folks sanitize their tools and today during my visit, there were flies and mosquitoes everywhere in the salon. The technicians do a decent job with the nails but the owner is always unnecessarily rude. I politely asked a question and she gave me a very rude response and she has always had an attitude towards customers. I will gladly take my business someplace cleaner and nicer. read more

Everyone was extremely nice but there were too many negatives for me to go back: The tools aren't sterilized unless they count the fact that there's an old machine in the back which is obviously 10 years retired, the pedicure chairs don't massage which is a first for me, the water looked only semi clean and they don't massage or scrub your legs whatsoever. The manicure was okay but I couldn't get over the fact that I didn't see her specifically pulling out sterilized tools! Went to this nail salon for the first time yesterday for a basic mani/pedi. The staff was friendly, good Essie polish color selection, and nails ended up looking good. However, this place is not up to my ideal standard of cleanliness when it comes to my go-to salon. They do not use liners in the pedicure sinks and these were not thoroughly sanitized after use. Nail utensils did not come out of sealed packages and did not appear to be properly sanitized. The place is carpeted which screams unsanitary. They also don't use disposable foam flip flops, but instead REUSED plastic ones. On top of that the pedicure chairs do not massage, and during my pedicure very minimal scrubbing was done-- merely some kind of soap and lotion were used. I'm used to at least a nice smelling scrub, lotion, hot towel, and longer foot massage--even for just a standard pedicure. This service ran me $32 before tip which I didn't find outrageous, but would've been willing to pay more for a higher standard of cleanliness and quality pedicure. This location is convenient to where I live, but I likely will not be returning. However, they did have solid COVID procedures in place-- customer wait outside or in car before appointment time, temperature check and masks required to enter. Plastic barriers between tech at manicure tables and pedicure chairs. Would've liked to see thorough sanitizing of chairs/tables/barriers between customers though. read more

I came here because I was in the area and needed a last minute mani/pedi before a wedding the next day. They close at 8 and took me in a few minutes before 7. There were two other customers and nail techs there. Although an hour is enough time, the lady rushed through both services and kept looking at the clock. That was kind of annoying. I also saw them turn down a girl who came in at 7:20ish for a pedicure. I understand you girls want to go home, but don't turn down customer who comes in 40 mins before closing for a service that takes 20ish mins. The mani/pedi were good though and I liked how she did my nails. She was sweet and made conversation (which not a lot of nail techs do anymore). I also appreciated when she helped me put on my sneakers so that I wouldn't mess up my nails. Since I was there when they were getting ready to close, I saw them cleaning and appreciate that they keep the salon tidy. read more

BEST MANI/PEDI I'VE EVER HAD! I recently moved into the area not too long ago, and i've been trying to find a Nail Salon that could meet my needs. 10/28 -I walked in , and was greeted almost immediately. I sat down in the PEDI chair, and opted to get the Hot Stone Massage which runs you about 38$ (Pricey but worth it). JoAnn was amazing, and super friendly. I'm a white toe nail polish girl, and when I tell you my toes look immaculate, believe me! The hot stones at the end, were also amazing. I honestly felt super pampered, and casually felt myself falling asleep during the pedicure. While my toenails were being done, I was soaking off my acrylics from a previous nail shop. By the time my toenails were finished, my nails were completely soaked off. I would say they are a clean salon, i saw her open a fresh pack of utensils before working on me, although your bare feet are directly in the tub, they dont use the tub liners. This spa pedicure took about an hour or so. I dont know about you guys BUT I like when the same person who's doing my toes to also to do my nails, for neatness purposes. My nails were next, JoAnn buffed my nail , filed them down to perfection and you know when you take off acrylics your nails are super brittle. Mine looked great! She cleaned my cuticles and nail beds so well. Each time I thought she was going to start polishing, she found more dead skin/cuticle (LOL) that she insisted on taking off. She took her time polishing my nails ensuring that every inch of my nails were polished and neat. I think it's amazing that they provide you with a glove to wear while your getting your gel-mani. I never seen that before! The manicure itself took her another hour to do. Which I am completely satisfied with. All night I kept showing my boyfriend my nails because I couldnt believe how cute they were! Ped: 38$ Nail Take off: 10$ Gel Mani: 25$ - A little pricey from past experiences, but you get what you pay for. I will definitely be returning, close to my home and great service! read more

I'm typically a cal-gel girl but due to their current popularity, my favorite nail salons in Manhattan never have open appointments. I found out my local nail place does UV gel nails so I took a chance getting french gel manicures here. $31 and about 40 minutes later I had perfectly dried nails and perfectly shaped tips. If you're looking for crazy designs or gradation like most cal-gel salons offer, they won't do them here - solid color or french nails only. Unfortunately the quality of these gel nails are far less superior than cal-gels*. One week later, some of the polish has already started to peel from the sides although tips are still as perfect as they were on day one. The women here are super sweet and always conversing with the regulars. I've come here time and time again for perfect pedicures (polish and cuticles!) that last for weeks. My toe nails usually grow out before any of the paint chips off. As previously noted, their Essie polish selection is pretty decent and they are very good with getting the more popular or up to date colors even some blues, purple, and green make an appearance here. Come here for regular mani/pedis but skip the gel nails, unless you need a quick, last minute fix somewhere local. ------------------------------------ * Keep in mind, I cook, wash dishes, bike, hike and have to constantly wash my hands. I moved to New York from glorious San Francisco a few months ago, only to be presented with a JURY SUMMONS shortly thereafter. So, on one of the rainiest, nastiest days of the year, I had to haul ass from Manhattan to Kew Gardens, Queens to serve my time. After sitting for hours in a packed room of cold and wet New Yorkers, my group was released for a 90 minute lunch break. Having brought my lunch, I instead ventured across the street to Kew Garden Nails for a mid-Jury Duty bikini wax! Yay! Although I had to wait 20 minutes, the bikini wax was clean and as painless as they come. I then opted for the 10-minute chair massage, which was BY FAR THE BEST 10 MINUTE CHAIR MASSAGE I've ever received. Jenny is a truly gifted bikini-waxer-chair-masseuse and the fine people of Kew Gardens should be honored to have her in their presence! So, if you ever find yourself at the Queens County Courthouse, for whatever reason, do yourself a favor and go see Jenny. I don't understand why there are such high reviews. This place is dirty and gross. I know not all nail salons are perfect but this place could at least try to pretend to be clean. Most places I been too usually "steralize" the tools after use. Literally the women here were rinsing off the tools in the sink and using it on the next customer. I got a pedicure and usually my legs are moisturized and a hot towel is placed on my legs. Here they took paper towels to dry my legs and feet. I visited this place for the first time last Friday in preparation for my wedding on Saturday. They did an amazing job. It's probably the best manicure I've ever gotten (and I never mentioned I was getting married, so this is just the quality of service they offer everyone). I loved that they took their time. My pet peeve is places that rush and my nails instantly chip. I did the shellac and it is now 4 days later and my nails look flawless and freshly painted. I was a little suspicious of this place at first but I was in desperate need for a manicure and like one of the previous reviewers noted getting one's nails done is a great thing to do during 2 hour Jury Duty lunch. First, when I heard that regular manicures were $7, I was highly enthused. However, I opted to get a shellac manicure when the tech showed me how many colors they had and insisted that it would last a couple of weeks. My nails looked great for just about 2 weeks and for $25, I think it was worth it. The only reason I am docking it a star is because I think it could have been a bit cleaner. HORRID! I went in on Monday and asked for the prices for uvgel and acrylic powder... my nails POPPED OFF LITERALLY from unbuttoning my shirt! typing on the computer! and putting my hand in my pocket! I liked that took me in 20 minutes in before closing. And over all the pedicure came out nice. But what I didn't like is they didn't wait for it to dry. Instead they offered me slippers to wear home, even thou it's 20 degrees outside. And for the fact that they charged an extra $1 for the last coat. It's just a dollar, not that serious. I went in with an appointment; they check your temperature upon entry. They are adhering to social distancing measures. There are plastic barriers at all stations and mask is required to enter. You have to wait outside until it's time for your appointment. I got a mani/ pedi. The sweet woman who did the pedicure took her time and paid great attention to detail.
