I ordered the key west Benedict and my boyfriend ordered the pork roll (Taylor ham) and egg on a roll. Food was very bland which I assume is good for the senior in the area. Place is dated. There was an ant on the decor on the wall by our booth. Old greasy stuff on the edge of the booth seats if I saw this before I wont have eat there! Waitress was nice so that's why I gave 2 stars. Dust everywhere and owner was just sitting there. And I different waitress was complaining about people who split the check at the end at the register the whole time.... Came here for breakfast while on vacation and it was great! We were in there for about half an hour. The food was amazing, the service was quick, and the prices were fair. The sandy beach eggs benedict & tater tots were the best I've ever had!! I will make sure I stop here every time I'm in the area! read more

Great brunch, but for being so close to the beach, Key West Cafe could be a bit more eco conscious. This review is based only on the Eco-friendly nature of the restaurant. Positives: Key West Cafe serves all of their eat-in food on washable, reusable dish ware with silverware. Negatives: Key West Cafe's to-go containers are styrofoam. Not only is polystyrene extremely toxic to produce, but there is also no viable recycling option for this container. Please consider switching to a biodegradable, plant-based for your to-go containers. This will show your community that you care about the ocean that your restaurant is near, and help to make Key West Cafe more responsible with the waste the restaurant produces! Great food with a fun staff. This is a family owned and operated LOCAL business. The menu has plenty of choices with something for everyone. Don't be swayed by some of the reviews I just have to laugh at some of the negative ones. First prices are subject to change at most small family owned operations and they only recently change the breakfast special price after giving plenty of notice. Remember just like super market prices go up for your food so do small restaurants. Second Rata a business on its food, service and cleanliness not on its take out containers not being eco friendly. As a former small business owner I would of loved to use Eco friendly containers but they are costly and using them means the cost would have to be passed on to the customers (yes that's how it works). We were excited because this place got 4/5 stars by 50 people. Let's start off with this. They tried. It's a nicely renovated place that has a taste of Key West and a hint of Wildwood combined. The mistake they made was half ruining the decor and theme with a neon Eagles sign on the wall as soon as you walk in. I get it, we're from Philly and the fans have some serious dedication to a perpetually mediocre team at best, but it's supposed to be a tropical restaurant, not an Eagles bar. There aren't even tv's I don't think to watch a game! We went for breakfast on a rainy Saturday. The place was packed and there were people even waiting outside. The staff was friendly and they were busy. Unfortunately, the waitress was slightly overwhelmed. She forgot our waters in the beginning and gave us the wrong check in the end. I ordered my eggs over medium and they were over VERY easy. I had strawberry chocolate chip pancakes and they were bland. The home fries were inconsistent in the same plate...some were bland and some were flavored with old bay seasoning...just not uniformly mixed. The water tasted like typical Wildwood water with that unfiltered taste. My gf didn't like the corned beef hash. I don't really know what that's supposed to taste like but it wasn't very good. The bread was smothered with butter...too much for her. It was one of those times where she was wanting other food and was talking about lunch before she even finished this meal. My gf likes 9/10 places we go to and she just couldn't get through this food. It wasn't ill-prepared where you would get sick, but it just wasn't flavorful. I'm also a stickler for cleanliness and things like that. When the waitress refilled my cup of coffee, she took mine back to the coffee station and reused my mug...the same mug with a little, stained chip on the lip. And she carried that mug with her hands around the spot where my mouth would go next. I don't want my mouth on your hand that has been handling other people's dirty dishes all morning. I'm not sure who gave this place so many good reviews. They tried and they were very nice so I wish them the best, but we won't be going back. read more

Visited for a 2nd time excited to have the crab cake sandwich only to be disappointed. Heavily over fried, very wet mush barely any crab meat no seasoning. 1st time I ordered it came with lettuce tomato onion with a pickle on the side. 2nd time no lettuce tomato onion or pickle. A friend of mine consistently recommends this place.... So I decided to take the family and give it a try. Very good. Staff was friendly. Service was fast. Food was good. More importantly.... When I asked for my corn beef hash to be well done... It came out well done. Thumbs up for that! :) This cafe will be on my Sunday breakfast list. read more

I had a great experience at this restaurant! My family and I had brunch outside because of COVID. My daughter and I both ordered omelets which were delicious while my husband ordered ba a pancake which looked amazing! The service was wonderful as our waitress was so so kind and handled my sons dairy allergy perfectly. She explained that she totally understood because her brother suffers a seafood allergy as well. The only reason I'm giving this four stars instead of five is because of the wait staff being rude to the customers and also a new employee they had. The food was excellent though! The price was fairly cheap for how much food we all got. Everything came out extremely fast, and was perfectly cooked. Definitely go here for a great breakfast! read more

To start off, right when you walk in you get hit with some foul smell that I cannot even tell what it is. The place is dated and the decor is dusty, they need to renovate ASAP. The waiters and waitresses are not wearing professional work attire, they wear leggings, shorts, and just casual and innapropriate attire in general. The owner who was also our hostess was a total snobby bitch who looked like she didnt want to be there and didn't give a crap about her employees - since she started yelling at them in front of everyone; causing a scene. When I got my food, it was cold and the eggs were undercooked. A total health hazard. Only good thing was the coffee, which I can get for cheaper at Wawa. Don't spend your money here. Good food. Real food...fresh, not frozen food. Great staff, friendly, gracious... attentive. You might wait a little for your meal, but it comes out fresh, hot, and delicious. Portions are nice, selection is nice. They even have grits- not instant, but real, properly cooked grits and REAL butter!!!! No crappy fake butter or margarine to ruin their toast, no complaints when wanting refills. My husband and I eat here almost daily when in wildwood. Decided to try the Key West Cafe for dinner this year, as it's the first year they're serving it. We are glad we did! We've been going to Wildwood for many years and usually stop at Uncle Bill's for breakfast. We've noticed the Key West, but just never have got to get there, as they usually were open only for breakfast. Wife and son had shrimp over linguini and I opted for the cheese steak special, which it definitely was! We all started with a salad and the house creamy italian dressing, which they make. It was delicious with a little bit of bite to it, which was a bit surprising but very good. Wife and son enjoyed the linguini and shrimp, but be prepared for the garlic as there's an ample amount. Along with my cheese steak , I also received very good soup and steak fries and also a cup of rice pudding. The special was filling and great for the price! Something very refreshing to see in a vacation destination! We were so impressed with the place, that we decided to go back for the 2-2-2 breakfast the next morning. We really liked the place and will make it one of our definite stops when heading to Wildwood. read more

Had breakfast with the family. I would say this place is interesting. Some food made from scratch, other stuff canned or boxed. Pancakes were good, eggs Benedict not so much. The SOS (creamed chipped beef) was pretty tasty. Home fries are limp and I would guess, frozen. Service was excellent. Coffee was pretty good. Overall this might have gotten a four, but I do NOT like dirty or I'll-kept restaurants. This fell short of my flexible standards. I would go back, but would not rush. read more

My friend and I had breakfast here on July 4th via recommendation from a few ladies on the "What's up South Jersey" Facebook group. The website for the Key West Cafe stated that it's "where the locals go" The decor had a Floridian flare to parallel it's name. We arrived about 10am and the place was packed. We were told it was a 10 minute wait for 2 people but we ended up waiting slightly longer. The problem with waiting at this location is the meter parking only lets you park for a max of 2 hours and it cost $2.00/hr to park on Pacific Ave near this eatery. I understand it's to offset the fact that the beaches are free, but to me, it's a real racket. I know this is the town and not the eatery. My friend ordered the 2, 2 and 2 (2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon and 2 pancakes). I ordered the avocado omelette with fruit and rye toast. When our food arrived, they only gave my friend one slice of bacon. We had to ask the waitress to go and get the other slice. She was a young girl and very nice about it. Periodically she would come back to our table to check in and kept apologizing about the wait we endured and explained that the kitchen was backed up. The food was standard but good. My wife and I are in Wildwood most every weekend, and this has been our go-to place for breakfast for a number of years! In that time, we have pretty much eaten the entire menu. Jackie, Steve and their staff are some of the friendliest people you'll meet, and they aim to please. The food and service are both great! There's always a line on the weekends for breakfast, but it moves quickly. My buddies and I have been coming to Wildwood for Bike week as well, and after trying a few different places for breakfast, I finally took them to the Key West. Their unanimous response was "Why didn't we come here in the first place!" Trust me, go have breakfast there, you won't be disappointed!! read more
