Sunset Watersports took us out on a windy day. We got to our activities and before we could even…read moreget off the boat they cancelled our day. So ultimately we road the boat for 1 hour, getting sea sick, to do nothing. The crew was cussing saying they knew this would happen. When we got back to the docks, I requested to receive a refund, and free vouchers to come another time, because Sunsets poor decisions made it so our day was effectively wasted. There were no other watersports boats we could get on, and the rest of the weekend was supposed to be rainy. The front desk girl was EXTREMELY rude and acted as if my request was irrational. I had to call a manager who was also no help, it was even difficult to receive the refund. We eventually walked away sea sick and I had to wait nearly a week to get our money back, with our day ruined and the only opportunity for this sort of excursion gone. I made negative reviews on a couple sites to which I got defamatory responses back. Now, disregarding their poor behavior, manners, and morals, I wouldn't have ever considered Sunset had I know about their negligence lawsuit for the death of 2 parasailers which they were found liable for. Please consider Fury or another company, hopefully they'll treat you better and keep you safe.

I chose to do the all watersports activity because I've done it many years ago with sebago watersports in 2018 with my family and our group of 20 people, so I was excited to go back with all my friends for my birthday and don't get me wrong we had a great time but it did feel very sales pitchy and a little chaotic. Let's start with the good: - great lunch - staff was nice - 2 different boats for parasailing -Cannon and Rachel for parasailing were great ! - jet skii instructor (not sure of his name, very cool guy), and he showed us a stingray -captain was amazing and very personable - small group on this day due to the weather which meant not so much downtime waiting for the next thing to do- which was amazing Now let's dive a little into the not so great: - we were forced to tip before getting on the boat about $15 per person which isn't crazy, but it does suck to be told you have to tip before even getting the service - our guide, not sure of her name but she was really nice but unfortunately really unorganized, we were told to split into two different groups since our group was quite large, which we did and while one group was off parasailing or jet skiing the other was left behind to utilize the banana boat & floaties, which were cool but we kept being told we were next for parasailing and to get ready, about 2-3x, which led to us getting out of the water and waiting for the boat that would come take us to go jet skiing or parasailing, but then kept getting pushed back until we were the last group to go. Thankfully we all got to partake in the activities but I can't imagine how chaotic it would've been if the boat had been at full capacity which is around 120 people versus on that day which was 30-45. I think it would've been nice to get an exact time within a 5-10 minute time frame to know when we should get back on the boat and wait for the smaller boat, as we had to get out of the water 2-3x just to be told the boat wasn't back or that we weren't next. - our friends who went parasailing first did not have a good experience with the crew and thought they were kind of rude Overall we all had a great experience, but I do wish they made some tweaks in organization and friendliness of some of the staff.

We stayed aboard and the crew came in the morning to take us out for day excursions. Not only were they accommodating and professional, but they went above and beyond to make our trip incredibly fun. To start- Presley stocked the refrigerator and pantry for us so that we could spend our time enjoying the sun rather than at the grocery store! That included going to the liquor store too! SO NICE!!! She met us there for a boat tour and showed us how everything worked. They took photos for us and showed us all the cool spots to hang including a secluded island, a tree swing in the ocean and lighthouse with a beautiful reef. Snorkle gear was included and Captain Gary made us shrimp cocktail while we jumped off the top deck all afternoon! He also brought us fresh fish to grill up on one of the days and it was awesome! The boat had everything that we needed including bikes and kayaks (on dock) and the yacht club was very convenient! Theres a food mart, a pool, beach and restaurant with a killer Sunday breakfast spread! We already miss the crew and are planning a couple's trip in the near future!

The crew was phenomenal and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Gary and Presely met us when we arrived to show us around and make sure we knew how everything worked (boat toilets, amirite?). They had fully stocked the fridge for us, including wine, so we were able to go straight into vacation mode. We took the boat out for charters while on board, and had the best time. They took us to all of the cool, locals-only spots (including a shipwreck), and made sure we experienced the best of the area. Snorkel gear was included, and they guided us through the reef so that we knew where to look for the best fish! We had originally only planned to charter for one day, but had such a great time the first day that we asked if could go again the next day. Luckily for us, they were able to shift their schedules and accommodate us (yet another A+ moment they provided). We had the best time and enjoyed every single person we came across. Already planning the next vacation with Catchin' Moments!

My two friends and I had the distinct privilege of taking a half day snorkeling cruise with captain…read moreNick Pulice on his beautiful 50 ft Beneteau sailboat Epiphany. We snacked on cheese, crackers and beer on our way out to the reef and ate subs after we snorkeled. Nick and crewmember Tony were outstanding hosts and very engaging and entertaining. Their seamless coordinated sailing expertise was displayed throughout the day and we never felt any concerns for our safety despite being quite a ways off shore. We saw numerous dolphins who swam alongside the sailboat as well as sea turtles. Once at the reef, we put on the snorkeling equipment provided. Since we already were experienced snorkelers, we had Nick skip the instruction portion of the trip and jumped right in and swam about 3 mins to the reef. It was a bright sunny day and as we swam over the reef we were greeted by numerous colorful fish. Nick provided us with a GoPro camera, so we could video as we swam and surface dove down the coral. The depth was only about 5 ft in some places, so it was easy to swim down for a close look at the fish. One day after our trip, I received an email from Nick with a YouTube link for the 3 min video he put together from the GoPro. We also loved the wonderful relaxing change of pace that the sailboat offered over the alternative speeding powerboat mode of transportation. Overall, this was a wonderful unforgettable experience. We were planning a vacation to Key West and looked at every charter available for snorkeling and…read morewater sports and there are seriously so many options to choose from it became overwhelming. We have three boys, ages 8, 13 and 15 and all wanted to do different things. We booked with a company that offered large scale snorkel tours for cruise ship customers at a reasonable rate but that wasn't the experience we wanted for our first trip to Key West. I love reviews so I checked with Trip Adviser and came across Blu Chi Charters. All the photos and reviews were amazing and sounded exactly like what we wanted. We were able to get our deposit back from the other charter we booked and we booked through Blue Chi instead. We selected a 4 hour option from 1-5 and had the entire bot to ourselves. Our kids wanted to kayak, snorkel and fish, so we were able to pack everything in they wanted. The captain and his first mate attended to our every need, even offering to kayak me out so I didn't have to go alone. We kayaked the mangroves (such an amazing experience) and then headed to a sand bar to explore nature. The kids loved that! It was the most gorgeous water, so peaceful and calm. We then did some snorkeling of the coral reef just offshore and then finished our day with some fishing. The captain cooked up our catch fresh and we had a wonderfully tasty snack of some ocean fresh fish while on the boat. He also provided all the waters and even some amazingly sweet pineapple, fresh cut and chilled as a snack when we got out of the water from snorkeling. We can't wait to go back and do it again the next time we are in Key West, as this was by far one of our favorite vacation activities.

Last week we got to take the Catamaran out a couple times. With Charlie behind the wheel…read more First night out we had good winds and strong stomachs. We got to travel a ways out. The peacefulness was slightly broken when captain Chester started strumming his Guitar on the ride back to dock. Next trip, before boarding we had a few to many next door, at Hogfish bar and grill. The waters were choppy and the prospect of chumming started to play out. When to our surprise captain Charlie saw our distress and pulled the wheel and rode the smooth waves. We didn't get to go out as far, but the ride was just as pleasurable. Take an adventure ride with Straycat. Have a great time. Definitely going back out next year.

The jet skis were maybe a year old, so really new, and quite fast. We still absolutely loved the alternate tour, and we had some wild dolphins that we made friends with that swam along side us for quite a ways being really curious about us.
