2/17/22 "Kentucky Fried Chicken We Do Chicken Right." Yes folks, Kentucky Fried Chicken tastes great, but the 1980's commercials are hard to watch now...with the exception of The Lisa Benachanko ad where she is getting her first taste of America. It has been a while since I stopped by KFC or Kentucky Fried Chicken and had the Colonial's chicken. So on 2/17/22 I drove on down to Kentucky Fried Chicken to order The Famous Bowl. The Famous Bowl from what I remembered have goes as followed. Mash potatoes, gravy, mixed shredded cheese, small chicken pieces and corn. My order had everything but the shredded cheese. Oh, boy. You made a big mistake...this brother lives his cheese and to not have it in the order...I hear Vice McMahon and Donald Trump saying "YOU'RE FIRED." Personally, Vice did a better job at that little speech, but I digress. Luckily I had shredded cheese at home, but if I order another Famous Bowl from Kentucky Fried Chicken, I wanna see cheese in this order along with everything else that is supposed to be in the order. Speaking of order, the last time I got this Famous Bowl, getting it as a meal wasn't an option. You also did not have the option of a Spicy Famous Bowl from Kentucky Fried Chicken. I am not into spicy food so I will miss out on this option. When you buy the Famous Bowl from Meal Kentucky Fried Chicken, you get a drink and chocolate chip cookie. Yes, you can forget about what Limp Bizkit said about the cookie...no sir, you can't change the flavor of this cookie. It like asking someone in prison... "You gonna eat your cornbread.?...consequences and repercussions." I hope the next time I am here, the end results are better. The food was delicious, but the order was incomplete. The extra crispy recipe chicken wings are not crispy at all. Stale! The one single job KFC should be good at, and they fail it. What a disappointment. The whole place is dirty. See my photos. Floor is littered with napkins and no one cares to clean it. The beverage station, let's say you shouldn't tempt fate by drinking from it. Store was empty when I walked in. I tried to order a few crispy wings but they said they are running out, and offered to give me a mix of crispy and original recipe wings. I asked for crispy only. The Nashville hot tenders is what everyone is talking about and is the new trend so I had to try it for myself. It was not possible to just get the tenders so I had to get a meal with it and it came with fries and a biscuit. I went through the drive thru and there was a line but it moved pretty quickly. The tenders were the only good thing on this menu as it had a good amount of flavor and was crispy. The sauce made the tenders a bit oily but they were still good. The biscuit was dry, bland and nothing special. It made me miss Popeyes biscuits. The fries were soggy at best and did not have any flavor to them. It tasted like there was no salt or anything on them. I would go back for the tenders if they were offered by themselves but with the combo, no way. I'd rather have Popeyes. read more

About a 2-2.5: Kentucky Fried Chicken is based out of Louisville, KY, and they're famous for the Original Recipe that was thought up by Colonel Sanders. As other locations, the menu offers chicken (buckets), chicken tenders, popcorn nuggets, sandwiches, sides (mashed potatoes, cole slaw, mac & cheese, wedges, etc.), 'Classics' (the Famous Bowl and the Pot Pie), and combinations/$5 deals. Located off of Little River Turnpike in the southwest corner of the Safeway plaza, the hubs and I decided to try their $20 Fill Up, which came with 8 pieces of your choice (we got Original), with 2 mashed potatoes, a side of gravy, a side of coleslaw, and some biscuits. This place is always hopping, as the drive-thru line always gets backed up! Also, once you're in, you can't really change your mind and leave, as it's a single lane with curb on both sides. This review is for KFC's new Donut Fried Chicken sandwich only. It was launched only a couple of days ago, so this may effected by the launch of a new product that needs time for the production process to mature. So I gave info to the curiosity about this new sandwich. KFC's execution of Chicken & Waffles was horrible as they used fake waffles that you would find on a hotdog rack at 7-Eleven. The promise of freshly made donuts convinced me to give it a try. Good, bad and ugly, here goes... So the chicken was actually a cut made for a sandwich - breast meat presumably - as opposed to chicken strips as are used on some of their sandwiches. The chicken was hot and fresh and crispy. So far so good. The donuts (one full donut in top and one on bottom) were also hot and fresh...and not far from what was pictured in ads. That is where things start to go downhill though. The donuts appear from the outside to be kind of a Krispy Kreme style...and who doesn't love Krispy Kreme? In this case, the resemblance ends there. The donuts were overly drenched in oil...so even with no sugary glaze, it would have been a mess. The glaze is also not put on the donuts first...nor allowed to "set" so that it is semi-solid. Instead, it is squirted on like a sauce...and they put a LOT of it on the sandwich. This was one of the messiest sandwiches I have ever eaten. It was overly sweet and oily and should have been served with gloves. I really felt overwhelmed with the oil and sugar afterwards...which is not at all what I was going for. This all could be because of the fact that donuts are a while new thing for KFC...and they haven't figured out how to do it right yet. Time will be the judge...but for a limited time offering, time is not their friend. I would not order again...at least lot as is. If I ordered again, I would ask for no glaze and ask if they could add bacon...or barbeque sauce. It's not rocket science as many smaller enterprises have mastered the chicken and donut sandwich. to start off this KFC IS THE WORST. first they get my Oder wrong. Then they charge me even more , and then the biscuits were RAW LIKE WHAT THE FUCK , then I told them they were raw and then they give me new ones that were also raw. So on this great Friday afternoon I went to this location, which I've been a lot but not weekly, It's always a problem, some of the employees are rude and when they give u a wrong order they state you didn't tell them that when you let them know the food is wrong. Today was one of those days I ordered a three piece and a cool ranch chicken taco, so when a I looked in the bag I had a beef cook ranch taco, I told the young cashier at drive thru I said chicken, he said I didn't say chicken, which I no I did, he close the window while I was still talking, then I let him know he was rude for closing the window while I was taking and he goes on to say He heard me ask for something other than was I said. So bc of the rudeness I ask the manager for my money back and was explaining to him that I spend money here and it's always a problem . I tired of people from other races being rude for no reason, bc if it was their food they wouldn't have a problem letting the person who took they're order. They've been close in the inside since Covid and the drive thru is the only way to order your food. So the lines are always to long, which by now you would think they should open back up. 2.5 We wanted to try the Nashville Hot Fried Chicken so we came here. It was barely ok, maybe a 3 if I was feeling more generous. The line was a bit slow moving. During dinner hours just one cashier. I wish the menu made it more clear if you want to customize things (like get one piece of chicken instead of the standard 2 or 3). The place was average clean, could be better. I gave KFC another chance and the quality at this location has improved drastically. They have an amazing deal going on where you pay $5 for a box of 2 pieces of chicken (white or dark), a side, a drink, and a cookie. AMAZING bang for your buck. Green beans were better than Popeye's, cookie was soooo chewy and soft and chicken wasn't overly salty. Over ten years I've been coming here whether it was by mistake or by drunken impulse but never has the service been worse than it is now. I was on my way to meet my friends at a bar so I decided to get a "quick bite" from the KFC/Taco bell. Notice how I emphasized on quick bite. I ordered a famous bowl and it took 20 MINUTES! Really? 20 minutes for fast food? Are they doing complicated math back there? There were only 3 customers! Every customer, including myself, had the same disgruntled blank stare. Decided to have a go at their $10 Gameday bucket at 5:45 on a Sunday night. Here, in the text of my "comments" to corporate, is what happened -- Only one order-taker, with 6 groups ahead of me when I arrived. This lone order-taker had to STOP, leave the register, & bring toilet paper to ladies room when requested by a customer. The line lengthened. I finally ordered the advertised $10 Bucket, Original Recipe. While waiting & waiting, another customer noticed no plastic forks available, asked for some. The lone order-taker had to STOP, leave the register, & search the restaurant for forks. The line lengthened again. The search for forks was fruitless: no forks in the entire restaurant. At this point, one of the few other workers (I assume Management, but who knows) informed me that there would be a wait for Original Recipe, & could I wait. "How long?" I asked. "15 minutes" was the answer. I insisted that this was entirely unacceptable, and insisted on a refund, which was grudgingly granted. I wasted 20 minutes of my life watching a clinic of mismanagement. On a Sunday evening, a busy time in the fast food industry, trying to take advantage of a heavily advertised special, and this joint has one person and only one to deal with the customers AND custodial issues? No utensils in the entire place? What are people supposed to eat their sides and/or tortillas with, their fingers? But, worst of all-- no chicken? Doesn't the 'F' in KFC stand for 'Fried!? How on EARTH can you run out of chicken in a chicken place??? This is, easily, the worst managed place I've EVER seen. It will snow in Miami in August before I ever consider returning.
