I've been to this restaurant three times in the last three days, I have ordered through the app and in-line at their kiosk. The line at the counter is very long however, the your order comes up quickly and they have it categorized unspecific shelves based on your name. Everything is neat and orderly in each time I've ordered they've gotten the order perfect. There's very little seating inside this restaurant. The majority of the seating is outside in a common area in the lobby it is extremely clean the new restrooms inside the restrooms are in the hospital facility on the first floor. This Panera is located inside Inova Fairfax Medical Hospital ground floor. I order off the app constantly, and my food is always ready in the set amount of time and is exactly what I order. I appreciate how quickly my food is able to be ready. Ive eaten both their breakfast sandwiches and their pick 2 meals. I enjoy the how reliable their food is compared to other chains. They have limited seating available, as it is inside a hospital. The cafeteria is located above them on the next floor. This location is inside INOVA Fairfax hospital. You can order ahead for pickup, order at the kiosk or place your order at the register. The staff was great and my bagel was yummy. When I ordered my bagel on the kiosk, I must've overlooked "toast". When the young lady called my name to give me my food she told me that my bagel wasn't toasted and asked if I wanted her to do so. I was happy that she noticed and asked! She toasted it and after a few minutes I was in my way to decide where I wanted to sit. There are several seats inside the little store but. I opted to sit out in the lobby area of Panera. The area was clean and I noticed that the coffee was always being replaced with hotter canisters. Panera for breakfast was a win! read more

For those visiting folks in the hospital, this works for the basics. Have been to INOVA too much lately. Yet am glad all visited have or will recover. The food at this or any Panera isn't exciting. People sometimes refer to it as hospital food, and for here that's true. Actually like the turkey bravo sandwich. It's fairly tasty. As you can imagine, with its location it gets busy. This obviously isn't your traditional one. Yet I'm happy it is here. All of the employees so far have been super. If you have to be here, this is a decent option for grub. read more

This is a lovely and quaint Panera bread at 3300 Gallows Rd. It feels like a sanctuary in the hospital. The sitting area has plenty of space for me and others to sit and work on their laptops as well as enjoy delicious food. The music that they play really adds to the ambience too. Don't forget to join the sip club! The deals from there are incredible and it's at a really low price of $3 a month. They really look out for you here at this Panera bread and they keep it clean. I hardly go to Panera. However, it's 3pm and I'm starving as I'm waiting for my mom to get discharged. Disappointed with my nearly $8 entree of a tiny quarter piece of roast chicken with a side of roast potatoes at Southside Dining, I decided to give Panera a try. I ordered the value duet of 1/2 sandwich of smokehouse bbq chicken sandwich with a side of tomato soup. It was surprisingly delicious and hit the spot! Granted, the sandwich needed some extra bbq sauce, but it was tasty. I should have gotten chips or an apple for the side (keep in mind that a piece of baguette is your standby side if you don't change it). So, for $5.99, this late lunch was well worth it. This Panera is located in the Inova Fairfax Hospital near Labor and Delivery. I had several visits to Panera while recovering from childbirth. I had a free trial of the coffee/tea subscription, which allows you to get a coffee (hot or iced) or tea every 2 hours. This was so convenient and I enjoyed the variety of options and ease of redeeming (mobile app for rapid pickup, kiosk in Panera, or via cashier). My husband and I also ordered dinner one night when we were tired of hospital food but didn't feel like takeout. I ordered the strawberry poppyseed salad without mandarin oranges and with extra strawberries and my husband ordered a Greek salad with chicken. My salad was a great portion size (and I have a big appetite) and the strawberries were very fresh! Our only complaint was that the bread side sizes were inconsistent (one piece was pretty tiny) and a little stale, though we did order late in the day. April 2019 I was going to stay with my aunt overnight and had to have dinner at the hospital. I checked out the cafeteria and I didn't see anything that I like. I asked around and I was told that there is a Panera in the hospital facility. I was so happy since Panera is my favorite restaurant. In contrary to the previous reviews I had no problem with the service team. In fact the cashier helped me apply for my panera card. My old panera card was not working. This location would rather see you starve and throw away perfectly good food rather than sell it to you....a min past 12 god forbid! I walked in, obviously hungry and asked to buy something just as they were closing. The door was open so I was able to go in. the employee behind the counter ignored me and proceeded to dump perfectly good bread and pastries in the garbage. I waved my hand frantically to say no no please I want to buy some. Without even the slightest pause, he says can't sell anything past 12, we're closed as I stood there devastatingly watching more pastries meet their demise. I understand there are rules and exceptions can't be made for one person but is there any humanity in watching a hungry person starve and waste perfectly good food? You can just say no and wait until I leave but no, not only was there utter lack of empathy but he rudely said in monotone, you can't be here, we're closed. The whole time expressionless, as if he was high and dazed. I'm not a bum begging and asking for free food. I'm a paying customer and was treated with utter lack of decency and respect. He then condescendingly told a fellow employee to make sure the door was locked. I walked away and that guy says apologetically, we can't sell anything. That's fine, totally acceptable. This hospital only has two main stores. Panera and Starbucks. The rest is over price cafeteria food. Panera service is very slow. I recommend ordering online and picking it up, rather than ordering in person. Always double check your bag. Many times, they forget to put everything that you pay for. This panera is located in inova fairfax hospital past the womens and childrens center. Usually hospitals do not have a place for children to run around and occupy their time but right next to the panera they have a nice play area where the kids can unwind and entertain themselves. There are plenty of devices are you to preorder your food if you do not want to wait in line! I've never had bad service here - When they make a mistake they really strive to correct it and provide great customer service. read more

I'm a night nurse at INOVA Fairfax so I eat here all the time. I always get the mac and cheese, and to be honest, it's like Russian roulette. About half the time it's amazing, my favorite mac and cheese ever, which is why I keep going back, aside from not having many other options. The other half the time, it's dry and the sauce is gritty, and there's hardly any sauce in it. It does change the taste, and it has become really frustrating that so often I pay for something unenjoyable. I've finally gotten to the point where I don't want to order here anymore... I was told that the way the bowl is prepared and weighed that just because I couldn't see the chicken doesn't mean that is in not in there. I am not a fan of this Panera bread. The customer service was fine. They didn't have any croissants. Plus they messed up my order. First they I asked for a sandwich that had spinach and a scrambled egg and there was no spinach and the egg wasn't scrambled. Then they said they would remake the sandwich and again I asked for a scrambled egg with spinach. This time I got my spinach but my egg was sunny side up. As a high risk antenatal patient, I'm at Inova frequently. This Panera is gross- there are tiny flies swarming all over the pastry case and the bagels- it's absurd how many there are! I can only imagine what it looks like in the kitchen. Two bad experiences. Got the "bagels" with creme cheese. These were not really bagels but half stale squished rolls. Gave them another try today with the steak and white cheddar sandwich. This looked good, but I did not realize that the ratio of horseradish sauce to other toppings was 50:1. I am not normally given to hyperbole but good lord who eats this much horseradish. The bread was also stale and overall the sandwich was overpriced and disgusting. The only reason they get two stars is because they have good mac and cheese that my son who is in the hospital loves. Worse service ever! I stood by and watched as they skip over my order and staff confirms with fellow employee if my order went out and he confirms yes and clears the order from the queue. I then wait to flag them down haven over heard that they think my order has gone out. When asked they act confused and find my ticket on counter and promptly scrambles to get my order out...when it was delivered I ask why it took 20 minutes for bowl of soup I'm LIED to and told someone took my order. When called on the lie she sticks to it...then I ask the question if it was given to someone else what is my slip still doing at the counter. But no still sticks to the lie even when I confront with the truth alerting that I was standing close enough to hear the mistaken 'clear'....they were surprised when I asked for my money back...not for the poor service but rather for their employee lying and sticking to that lie! read more
