Ordered pickup which included the box deal with a sandwich, two chicken tenders and fries. The fries were cold and they did not include the dipping sauce. We stopped in here last Thursday when e were home ! My husband and I both got the 3 pice original chicken plate and two extra vegetables that cost us $2.89 a piece that meal was $10.99 all together it came out to $38 and some change. When my hubby bought i over I was really disappointed when I looked down and seen two breast and the tiniest wing that had no meat which we had asked for wings because the breast sometimes are dry some times took it up and asked the manager about it and she said they serve that to all there customers and they don't complain. We've eaten here over the past decade and have always been pleased with the food. I don't care for spicy food, so I can't address the flavor of their spicy/hot chicken. However, I can say I've never had an untasty meal here. The food has always been hot, appealing and delicious to us. Oftentimes we will get a few boxes to-go and just make a picnic of it somewhere nearby. Plus if our dogs are in the Jeep with us, they well know what soon awaits them...a yummy helping of crunchy skin and bones. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Stopped there to pick up dinner got 12 pieces of original Fried chicken They left out 10 of the 11 spices. Ingles is much better and 1/2 the price or more. This is the Athens store. I give them one star because they were open. read more

Food was fresh and super hot. Woman at the drive through was a sweetheart, and was nice and happy with the younger co-worker, which you don't see in most work environments. I was born and raised in Athens, so when the city opened this restaurant, I was overjoyed! The Colonel's "secret recipe" was definitely tasted in the chicken. However, for the past year, the chicken doesn't taste anywhere near the way it used to. I've had my last trip to this restaurant TODAY! The chicken is "bland", and the ONLY thing that tastes the same (and still great) is the coleslaw! I don't know what is going on at this location, but I DO hope that other locations of this business serves BETTER tasting chicken! read more

I hate to write bad reviews, but it seems that bad eating establishments with either bad food or bad service or bad employees or all three combined are the norm now. We pay high prices for the food we order so we have every right to expect good service and quality of the food we order. So many food places have gotten the idea that you need them! Well I hate to tell them that there are plenty of places out there to eat at! They NEED OUR BUSINESS to have their jobs and their livelihoods. If they treat enough people bad or make them sick they will be out of a job. Today we stopped in to this location for a small order. My wife asked several questions at the drive through about items and to be fair into the order part was changed . When we got to the window to pay the girl was busy at the moment so my wife was sitting there with the window down card in hand waiting on her. We were never told a total at the order kiosk. Finally the woman came to the window grabbed my wife's card out of her hand and said that will be 47.07. At that time my wife blew her horn and said " don't run that card " the lady cracked the window and we both said don't run the card, that's too high for what we ordered. She closed the window and went about doing something . My wife tooted the horn a couple more times finally she came back. At which time she said that she had already ran it. So my wife said well you need to refund it then. The woman got a bit of an attitude and as the window was closing we heard something about being on auto pilot from inside. They did the refund. What's really sad is this was a second chance that we gave kfc. The last time we ate chicken from a different location our party got very ill. But the complaint is that they didn't listen to start with, got the order wrong , got smart about it when we told them and now I am out of our money for 7 days. To add insult to injury, I called back and asked for the general manager. I was given her name , so I asked to speak to the person. She said I am her. I explained to her exactly what I said here. She stated that the receipt said we ordered these different things. I said we ordered this or that. I don't believe the order taker heard the changed order. The main thing is they should have Listened better, been nicer when a concern was raised and Not have charged our card when we said not to! read more

This is a terrible place to stop if you have kids. There was no diaper changing station in either restroom and the high chairs were sticky with a residue build up. When I went back out to my car (in the rain) to change my baby's diaper, there were no trash cans available (but, lucky for smokers, there were cigarette butt cans!) I realize KFC is just a run-of-the-mill fast food place, but I'm really only asking for the basics. Aside from the aggravation relating to being out with kids in a place that seems to not care about them, the food was below average, even for KFC. Overcooked vegetables and burned chicken. The layout of the restaurant left people constantly running into each other as they tried to navigate the drink station and buffet and the floor was so slick (it's raining remember) I saw several people slipping. This place has a rating of 1 star and I can see why. The crew is rude and was constantly arguing with each other. I arrived at 1842 and paid for the buffet. The buffet was a wreck. Out of several things and I wanted some grilled chicken. I asked for it and a young black kid said he would put it down. That was at 1845. As of this message at 1925 there is still no grilled chicken. I walked over to the buffet and a heavy set brown headed girl with glasses kept looking at me but would never acknowledge my presence. I finally had to force her attention and I once again asked for grilled chicken. She said it would be 12 minutes. So in other words it had just been put down. The crew was argumentative with each other. The shorter black kid kept telling other employees to shut up in front of customers. The dining room was dirty and waiting on the grilled chicken I ride the country steak. It was old and dried out At 1930 they finally put the grill chicken out. The girl put 5 pieces on the pan. A couple n front of me took the 5. I asked again for grilled and the girl with tattoo on her arms took an attitude. Went and got some more and literally threw it in the pan. I had, had enough. Went to the KFC in ATHENS, TENNESSEE...The buffet had little or no food. there was no chicken, mashed potatoes,veggies, dumplings,and biscuits. There was an employee standing arround doing nothing. She went into the back and came back out chewing. They were asked several times if the food was coming was always told ..."It will be awhile. Need to either get new help or retrain them. They were not prepared for the customers.There was about 2 or 3 customers that got refunds. My boyfriend and I was one. I will not eat there again and will let my friends know how things were. read more
