Today I was in the mood for the Colonel Sanders "finger lickin good"' recipe but upon seeing a poster in the store for the chicken pot pie, I decided to go for it. The pie crust was golden brown and crispy. The chicken and veggie filling with warm and savory gravy was just what I needed on a cold afternoon. It was a KFC/Taco Bell combo. Food was not what we ordered, it was cold and the oil they fried the food in made everything taste weird like the oil was old. Not good. We ordered crispy chicken dark meat only but was given 2 pieces of white meat and it was cold. We also ordered 2 beef supreme chalupas but were given chicken, both of them were also cold. 3 of the 4 sides were also cold and the 1 not cold, should have been as it was coleslaw. Stopped here to try their LTO Chicken & Donut sandwich. It actually was really really tasty! This review is based on this visit only, as I would typically rate KFC as a 2.5-3 star establishment. But the sandwich was HOT! Literally and deliciously! So much flavor in the chicken and donut combo! It was really messy to eat though. So much glaze on the hot donut made it pretty sticky. Today is 7/15/2023@1000 am. Never been to this KFC. Got here at 10am. Watched the people inside walk around for 25 mins. Another customer showed up at 1015 and was knocking noone came to the door. Eventually the shift lead/manager came to the door did not open, nor communicate just said with her finger go to drive thru and turned on drive thru sign. As I stood there I read the reviews and their 2 star rating based off this experience is well deserved. I took my order for 6 buckets to another franchise didn't want to even risk my food being raw or who knows with this level of service. Swore I was never going to go back to this location but thought it would be OK since a year had gone by. This time the staff was pleasant but the food was still of a very low standard. Got food poisoning after eating the chicken and biscuits at the location in Oceanside/Carlsbad area.

They screwed up my order, so I went back in to get an item and found they didn't charge me for it, even though I ordered it. So I paid for it, waited till it was ready, walked back to the office. When I got to my office to eat it, the hot sauce packets given to me in a separate bag by a crew member were all covered in sauce, mild I think. The folks that work there dole out the sauce, so the guy who gave it to me should have detected the "leak" and not given it to me. I took a picture of the leaky sauce bag it was so appalling.
