Well they recently opened about four weeks ago and they only have the drive thru available. You can place a mobile order and pick it up at the store the dining room is not open. Not sure if that is due to COVID or staffing issues. Recommend going early because the drive they gets long closer to lunch and dinner time. Our food was hot and tasteful, it has been a long time since I have been to a KFC but they did not disappoint that is for sure. It is Finger Lickin Good as the Colonel says. Spice was just right had the 3 piece combo with 2 breasts and a wing. Meat just fell off the bone. Mash potatoes were just like I remember them gravy is as great as every. Service: absolutely horrible sat for 10 mins before a worker even acknowledged we were there. One lady told us we were waiting on nuggets but it was over 20 minutes. - very lazy workers, never again will be going here. Food: was rubbery and did not taste like it was even cooked. KFC, you have broken my heart. I have loved you from the beginning and now you put me in last place as if I do not matter to you anymore. You no longer make me happy because you have served me soggy, supposedly extra crispy fried chicken that is absolutely tasteless. My heart yearns for the days when even your sides were a nice addition but alas, it's as if I ate lunch at a grade school cafeteria. Even your beautifully shaped little biscuits were like cold rocks. Where did I go wrong? What have I done? I am hurt and disappointed even though my pride tells me not to go back and face the same consequences. It's too costly. Glad KFC is back in Dawsonville. Have eaten their 2 times. First time yesterday extra crispy chicken did not taste like the kfc I have eaten for 50 years and the Cole slaw was way off taste. A lot of vinegar. Went back today. Lady in drive thru was more interested in her personal telephone call than even greeting me. Stayed on her earbud phone call the whole time. Gave me someone else's order, I luckily caught it. Got my order. 2 tiny pieces of chicken original recipe even though I ordered extra crispy. Cole slaw was again not good and the corn tasted like it was made yesterday. Pretty disappointed in my first 2 visits. read more

I was excited when I saw a new KFC was opening and expected it to be superior to the last store that closed several years back. Well, it's not. They never seem to have extra crispy chicken - like ever. My wife said maybe we have to order in advance so we did and evidently the staff can't tell the difference between a breast and a thigh since we received all thighs except for 1. No one seems to know how to take orders, extremely incompetent and rude! Food is cold as soon as it gets in your hands from the drive thru. I typically order on the app. With the app I typically add in a single a la carte crispy tender for my son sknce he is 2 and doesn't eat much meat anyway. Well, that won't be happening anymore as I've just decided I'll not be going back. I pulled up to the drive thru and was met with "I'm sorry we don't do that here" when I tried to order my usual. I stated I always do on the app for this location and it's never been an issue. The rude employee stated "well then go order on the app because we don't do that here!" If it's the same restaurant and it's the same food, why do I need to pull away after waiting in line, just to order in the app, to have to go inside to grab the food? The rudeness and the ridiculousness of the situation seriously has me not planning on returning. read more

Omg!! I don't know how this restaurant is still open. I went to kfc in dawsonville right when they opened everything was awful! The service,the lady at the window was so rude and the food was soooo bad. I gave it a few months before I went back everything was again soooo bad! I couldn't even eat the food. So months later you would have thought I had learned my lesson but no I went there today the lady who took our order at the drive thru was unbelievable rude. She didn't even ask if I wanted original or extra crispy. She was even more rude at the window. I order 2 piece with potatoes and gravy. The chicken was sooooo greasy, the potatoes has I dab of gravy again so bad I couldn't eat any of it. You should know when there is a sign on window that said no refunds I'm not the only one who couldn't eat the food. Believe me I will never go back there. Was so excited for this KFC to open and I will say that I'm extremely disappointed. Probably the rudest staff I've ever encountered. I'm a DoorDash driver, so I stopped by to pick up an order around 7pm. Walked in and stood there about 5 minutes and nobody acknowledged me. One person was even leaned against a counter close enough to me that I could see he was on Snapchat. Someone finally asked what I needed and got the order. I was stopped on the way out the door because they forgot something. They've only been open a few weeks and there's already an alert on Uber Eats telling drivers that they forget items. I went back around 9:15pm to get some dinner for myself and my fiancé. I guess it is a complete inconvenience to come that close to 10pm(closing). I am not one to come around closing time, but I don't see an hour as close. I got my food and made it across the street before realizing I was missing two sides and there was also no forks, spoons, or even napkins. I went back and tried to go inside and the door was locked. It is now probably 9:30. They gave me my two sides and I left. Icing on the cake is that after all of this the chicken is awful and the bucket is all breasts and a couple wings. Had I known this is all they had or felt like giving me I would have gone somewhere else to begin with. I would recommend scrapping the staff and starting from scratch or send them to come customer service training. read more

So excited to have KFC back... I sincerely hope they are just experiencing growing pains right now. I ordered through the drive thru. When I got to the window to pick up the order no one was working the window. That person came up within a few minutes yawning and looking around at the orders waiting. He never acknowledged I was there until he needed me to pay. He eventually got to mine asked if I wanted dipping sauce. I paid with cash he handed me the change and my bag. I have loved KFC in the past and was happy to see a location open after the prior one in Dawsonville closed. My husband picked up chicken tenders at the drive thru last night and what a disappointment! He ordered the 8-piece tenders that looked more like breaded chicken scraps. The chicken was so dried out and the breading so hard, you could hardly eat them! My guess is they were left over from lunch and to think we paid $18.99 for them and another $3.49 for 4 biscuits. What a waste of $23+ dollars! Don't waste your time and money! read more

Our order wasn't right. Our chicken we did get was cold and hard. The best thing we received from the place was the bbq sauce!!! Biscuits were cold and dry. The sides were cold and not what we ordered. I called to notify the manager of the problem and she argued with me that our order was right and our food was fresh. Order was wrong AGAIN. Ordered 3 piece breast and wing with an extra wing. After waiting in a very long drive thru line. (amazed there are still hooeful people like me waiting in line) Never again. I find out, they are out of extra crispy. Next, I asked for a Splenda with my tea. The young lady had no idea what that was. So I said artificial sugar, to which she responded, " oh we used to have that. Guess we're out. " Then I get home, in my order were 2 thighs and 2 legs. Damn, ‍ I forgot to check my order before I left the window. Shame on me because I've been to through the drive thru 3 times and NOT ONE TIME was my order right. The upside is, I ate the two sides since they were exactly what I ordered and my dog will have chicken to eat for a couple days. I do not like dark meat. AND I no longer like KFC. They have a gold mine at this location but based on feedback and reviews, they won't be open long unless they get better management, quality control and train their employees. Totally unacceptable.
