I placed an order for a family special. It should have been 6 tenders & 12 nuggets. 2 large sides, 4 biscuits, 6 sauces. I also added a large potato wedge. On arrival we had to wait 10 minutes longer than promised. No worries, except the food was not even fresh! The nuggets could break a window. I posted a video of them. The strips or tenders, there should be 6. There were only 3. There were not 12 nuggets either! Some of the "nuggets" were pieces of breading without chicken. I guess they're just too lazy to do their job. Our sides were mashed potatoes & gravy & mac n cheese. Usually their cheese looks like cheese sauce. Today it's lumpy & dry but has hair in it too! The mashed potatoes I did not take a pic of. They were in the large bowl however once I scooped them to the plate it was clear they would fit in the tiny gravy dish... there was about 2 tablespoons of potatoes spread across the bottom of the dish. The gravy was the only decent thing & that was a tiny container for gravy. The biscuits were even hard as a rock. I guess I should be happy they actually included the biscuits this time cause usually they forget them all together. Well since the rest of the food was not edible I was going to dip a biscuit in gravy... nope, I'd like to keep my teeth... biscuits are rock hard! They also failed to include condiments, napkins, utensils, etc. the store was nasty dirty when we walked in. Staff hanging out on their phones, ignoring customers. No manager in sight. Floors sticky... I know KFC wants to reestablish themselves in the fast food market but with stores being ran like this, they'd do better to bolt the doors & demo the building. I'm hoping the health department visits soon. Attention restaurant managers.... If your applicant shows they worked at this store... don't hire them! They'll destroy your store too. I did attempt to immediately contact them. I sat on hold over an hour before seeing the "chat ended" notice. So I contacted them the next morning (today) my order was $32, they offered a $13 refund. I said that's not acceptable as this order was not even edible. They offered me coupons... for what!? Do they really think I want to return to this dump!? No way! They need to be shut down! I was excited a few months ago thinking they had new management & were improving. Guess that was a temporary thing. They must have improved while under corporates eye & now they are back to pure laziness. Just avoid this store!! There are plenty of chicken places locally that you do not need to patronize them. This and the one on 19 in Palm Harbor are by far the two worst KFCs I've ever been to. Both these places multiple times were out of chicken and asking me to wait upwards 35-40 mins, and it's not as if they are jam packed with customers. The most I've seen is one car in the parking lot there (probably the workers), and rarely anyone in the drive-through. It's hilarious, my pal didn't believe me and we stopped there weeks ago and sure enough out of chicken. It's been like this for at least a decade. We had a storm here like 3-4 years ago that blew off the KFC sign and steeple looking part, and they still have not fixed it. The outside looks trashed and dirty... Very poor food! We stopped going there over a year ago, when our chicken was saturated in fat and obviously re-fried! You know, the meat is like leather and the fries were see through fat containers! Then, the food has a repulsive smell, I found out from an employee that they don't change the oil in the fryer when they should! He said they use it for about 2 months before changing! I have never had a worse experience anywhere! I walked in to check on my online order in the Online Order Section. I touched the bag on one order because I could not read the name at the top. An employee yells and I mean yells "Like I said do not touch the bags if your name is not at the top!" I explained politely that I could not read the name. The employee continued with her rant on people shouldn't be touching anything. This employee should not be working with the public at all! SUMMARY: Inept manager, food that was overcooked and inedible, inaccurate order, hours of operation incorrect online, manager and customer service rep unable to issue the full refund that I deserve. Let's start with the fact that you don't empower your managers or customer service reps to be able to make things right for an unhappy customer. Before ordering from my local KFC in Dunedin, FL, I checked their hours of operation. Online info said they close at 10pm. I checked because my son got off work at 9pm from a nearby retailer, and I thought it would be easy enough to swing through and pick up some food on my way to pick him up from work. He usually rides his bike, but it was pouring all day so I drove him. I placed an order online with the intention that 1) the food would be available - none of this "Oh, we're out of fries/nuggets/biscuits", and that 2) it would be freshly made and hot. Well, my first mistake was ordering from KFC. The food, when we got it home, was inedible. The nuggets were dark brown, dry, and hard enough to break a window. The secret recipe fries? Nope. We got mashed potatoes with gravy instead. Yes, I ordered the fries because they're actually good, and since you got rid of popcorn chicken, the fries are our favorite thing on your menu. Unfortunately, we didn't get those. The sauce cups that were supposed to be included? Nope. Didn't get those either. I called the store twice, and no one picked up. I was livid so, in a nasty downpour, I drove back to the store with the food because it wasn't yet 10pm, and I thought I would be able to walk in, give the food back, and get my refund. You know, like you can do at any other store or restaurant in the United States. But guess what... the store closes at 9pm, not 10pm. How is it possible that a national corporation owned by a Fortune 500 company can't get their website right? I had to pound on the window and door like a lunatic to get someone over. Finally got the manager to the door. He was, by the way, the person who didn't check my order before giving it to me earlier. More likely he did check but didn't care. He informed me that he wasn't able to give a refund, and I had to call the 800 number. I asked him how he, as the manager, could let food of such poor quality go out the window, and the only thing he said, "Uh huh." He should be fired. I dumped the bag of food and two drinks in his hands because I was not going to put that garbage in my or my son's body. I called the 800 number and 20 minutes later, after answering way too many questions about the food and the service, after being put on hold 3 times, I was informed the only thing the customer service rep could do was create an incident report and send it to leadership to investigate whether or not I should receive a $21 refund. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This corporation is willing to lose customers over $21. I have been a regional trainer for Hilton. The corporation, not one of the franchise hotels. I've been a manager at Hilton, Little Caesar's (when I was 19, by the way), and have been self-employed for two decades. Never have I experienced (or even heard of) such a terrible "the customer is always wrong" policy. Now I have to wait for someone in "leadership" to read the report, investigate, and determine if I'm entitled to my $21 refund. Utterly ridiculous. You should be ashamed of yourselves for putting a customer through this. Frankly, I should receive a full refund plus another $100 for the time expended dealing with your corporations terrible policies, awful food, and uncaring manager. The only person in any of this debacle who deserves an ounce of praise is the customer service rep who kept her cool while I vented at her on the phone. She deserves to work for a company that actually cares about their product, their staff, and their customers. Unfortunately, that company isn't KFC. read more

Last night I was just craving fried chicken. I haven't been to a KFC in years and never been to this location. I went online, looked at the menu and chose what I wanted then drove over about 5:30. They were out of my first choice - extra crispy shortage! - then out of my second choice... then out of a side... I was hungry, cranky and starting to lose it but the young lady working the window was... extraordinary. I live in Buffalo New York and traveled to Corbin Kentucky the home of Colonel Sanders but this has to be the best tasting Original KFC Chicken I have ever had in my life. We love KFC and were happy we had one so close when we moved to Dunedin. Unfortunately this store has been a constant disappointment. Not once have I been here without a problem. They routinely DO NOT have chicken ... or all they have is grilled which is too dry to even eat. They have not had green beans on occasion. Today they had no crispy wings and gave us original wings the size of my pinky finger. The crispy chicken is clearly not made correctly. The breading is heavy and hard as a rock. We keep giving them another chance hoping they will get their act together but I think today was our final visit. This meal was not worth the money paid. read more

I went through the drive thru to get my husband a pot pie and like most times they were out. So, I ordered him a 4 piece chicken tender box, a #9, with an additional order of cole slaw, he likes there cole slaw. His fries and chicken tenders were hard and old. He could not even eat the fries and he tried the tenders with a lot of sauce to soften them up. Obviously KFC is KFC. I've never been a fan but my long time girlfriend likes it. This particular location is a mess some of the reasons are below: They take and process an order about five minutes a time. The person that takes your order then proceeds to get your food. Not very efficient. They were out of all flatware except for spoons. So no knives no forks. For the sweet tea the guy that takes and gets your order has to tip the container for it to pour out. For extra crispy they lacked a few pieces and the alternative was a different type. They were out of coleslaw On a Tuesday night. The employee was average did not seem happy with his job but I can see why when they don't have the tools to make customers happy. Again I am not a fan of KFC I find it average and expensive. I've never had worse KFC in my life! First, the employee operating the drive-through was rude to us while someone in the background was yodeling and screaming incoherently. We were told that they were out of chicken and we would have to wait 7 minutes for it (the wait took over 20 minutes), and when the employee finally brought us the food, we asked if he was sure it was our order and he shrugged and said "I guess, I didn't look at it." and he left, leaving us to figure it out. When we brought the food home, the chicken was sitting in water. I don't mean that it was wet, but there was .5" of standing water at the bottom of the bucket! The chicken tasted awful, and a couple of the pieces weren't even cooked all the way through. I hope this was a one-time problem, and the owners of this KFC assign an adult to supervise the staff. First time here and wanted some chicken for a fast lunch. Enter the restaurant and was greeted by Tasha. Who was working the register and waiting on another customer. She gave me that wow experience. She was very pleasant and cheerful when waiting on my brother and I. She was so sweet and kind to everyone who walked through the door. As other guest left the restaurant she made a point of thanking them for stopping by. The manager Brittany was working the line and just as friendly and professional. I tried the chicken little combo. It was fast. Fresh and had plenty of flavor. The potato wedge where crispy and hot. Because of Tasha and Brittany we will definitely come back. This location is really dirty and dingy. The cashier was pleasant . I wanted to try the Nashville chicken. You can't just order the strips, it comes as a very small meal. The strips were very dry and not spicy at all. It's like they sprinkled black and cayenne pepper on at the end (a very lite sprinkle). The biscuit was great as always. When I told her I would drive back to get the items she told me that the lobby closed in 10 minutes. I guess that was her way of saying, sorry you spent 32.00 on your meal that we didn't even have the courtesy to ensure was correct but hurry if you want us to get you what you paid for. Wow we have been going here for years fortunately we have only went through the drive-through but the other night me and my wife decided to go inside and dine and wow very disappointed with the owners of this location seem to be that the people working there were very organized and trying to clean up after themselves but this place looks like a hole in the wall the walls need painted as you can see that they have tried Touch up the walls in a different color not even close the ceiling spray painted black is caving in and there was actually a leak at the time even one of the employees stated that yes the owners know it is been like this for a while and no they are not going to replace it I am very disappointed and it makes me feel like I should never go back to this location based on the fact that the owners do not care about maintaining the property... We feel extremely bad for the employees that were trying to do their job ......
