I have to say I was pleasantly surprised last night. Came one other time and was not impressed. Tonight was Monday burger and $5.99 you get a burger with some toppings. I chose Swiss cheese add $1 and banana peppers, lettuce, tomato (no charge). Bun was nice and fresh. They also had a habanero ketchup pretty yummy if you like a kick. They could use an update in the dining area. Kinda a diner atmosphere one step up. Can't beat the price . I will say the burger was a little small compared to others but for the price fresh and tasty. I'll try a side next time. Service friendly. read more

Wow, what a disappointment. Just got home from trying this place. The Chocolate shake came out first and had decent flavor but was runny as water. No excuse for that. The "fresh fries" did not have a crunch and were devoid of seasoning. Did NOT taste like fresh cut fries. Pretty sure it's "fresh frozen", but soggy. Onion rings were thick as pictured but were undercooked and GREASY. Hard pass on those. OK, the main event is the burger. Tried the Steakburger and it has potential but it's like a brand new line cook on his first day made it. The mushrooms were on the side like he missed the burger when spooning them out, the bacon was low quality and again, soggy. Not thick crunchy bacon, but thin floppy greasy crap. The burger patty has a nice peppercorn crust but again, NO SEASONING. Fresh beef needs SALT! It is kinda hearty/earthy with mushrooms, bacon, onion rings, peppercorn, but the sauce is light/sour that just.doesn't.go. and kinda ruins the burger. When quality control and standards go out the window, this is what you get. SOGGY, GREASY, flavorless food that should not have been served. read more

It's a good restaurant but I think they need some help. There were two people working (one was cooking and the other was trying to take orders, be waitress and bus the tables). They made my son's turkey burger without bacon as pictured and added tomatoes and lettuce. The shakes are hand stirred and were good. I liked my burger even though it was a little small for 15 bucks. Every-time we go in they have a great special and the Restaraunt is very clean. They cook the food relatively quickly and thoroughly explain the menu's features. Their service is impeccable. I ordered the half cheesesteak and fries for $7 and then got 5 dry rub monger seasoning wings for $8 more. The seasoning was out of this world good. Found this on Yelp one night when I was hungry around 8:30 PM. Drove over and ordered delicious burgers cooked super perfection. Exactly how I wanted it. There are booths inside the restaurant and it's feeling like a diner inside very very friendly people waiting on us and the service took a little while, but it was cooked to order so I expect that in a carryout place. read more

Went here because they just opened this location. Atmosphere is average, small seating area and set up just seems strange. They don't offer any meal type deal so if you want a burger, fries and combo you have to buy each individually. Prices are high if it's not a special item day. Service was ok but when they cook the food they should do it all at once. We ordered burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries and onion rings. Burger was done first and sat for awile in foil while the other items were made. Got home and burger was a mushy and wet. Taste was not really good and prices were high for what you get. Items seemed like something you could make at home and get the same result. Maybe it's because they're new but there are a lot of other places that do a way better job at offering up a burger. read more

Omg! Wow! This burger place is delicious! The flavor is amazing, not soggy. I had their regular burger, added grilled pineapple-lettuce-onion-tomato. My hubby had a lettuce bun. We also had fries and sweet potato fries. I had a vanilla milkshake, hubby had iced tea. It was $47 total, but worth it for the flavor, service, and speed of food coming out. They also have beers there in bottles. They have a kiosk to order, but it's new with a few glitches, better to order at register. Definitely making this burger place our one to go to! Another after church lunch with family. Our granddaughter wanted a burger so we checked it. In and up to the counter to order and pay. Not my favorite method to order since it feels rushed looking over the menu. My eldest daughter picked the Cheesesteak sandwich. My youngest daughter chose the Jalapeño Snap burger and her daughter got the kid's cheeseburger & fries with lots of pickles. I ordered last and chose the Skirted Cheese burger and a side order of Onion Rings for the table. I paid and we were given a table marker for our table. While waiting for our food we filled our drink cups at the self service machine. We were disappointed that the higher priced burgers did not at least come with one side, except the kid's burger. At $8.00 to $11.00 each we figured they should be really good. After awhile our meals came in stages over ten minutes. As is our practice we cut the burgers into sections so we could try a sample of each. The consensus was the Cheesesteak was ok. My Skirted Cheese was fair. As a long time customer of the McMullen-Booth Clearwater store (we have eaten there since the week Burger Monger opened at this location), and regularly for the many years since, we knew what to expect. We thought! It has been a while since we were here last (half year maybe???) and this is not the old Burger Monger. Attention to detail is gone. Kids running without supervision at the grill etc. Don't know how to cook the food. Don't know how to plate the food (more on that in a moment). So how was the food? Tried to order a burger medium. Can't do that. They only serve well done burgers. Burger place doesn't know how to cook a burger without torching it? Quote from the manager: "Oh, the kids behind the grill don't know how to cook anything other than well." ??!? This doesn't bode well. I ordered my usual chicken monger. Nice juicy grilled breast, right? Nope. Flattened piece of the sole of my shoe. Really, I've had tastier shoe leather. And the condiments. Slap dash thrown on the basket. Literally, everything was thrown on the edge of the basket, not even an attempt at "plating". I had a river of mustard streaming out of my sandwich off the edge of the basket. On the plus side, the fries were good. If they can't train their staff on how to cook and plate a simple burger, this is not a store I will ever frequent again. You're probably wondering 4 stars...Heres why I give this place 4 Stars: The burger itself was a bit pricey. The patty is not that thick. The burger just seems super tall due to thick cut of tomatoes, lots of lettuce, thick cuts of onions, and whatever vegetables they add in the burger. The regular fries we had was a bit soggy. What looked delicious in presentation was definitely NOT as advertised. Sadly the food tasted greasy. The corn dogs were the best thing in the pictures. I loved going here before and was actually going in for a Chicago dog that used to be on the menu. The menu has changed and not for the better. The chili cheese dog was awful. With the bacon on top it was way too salty and the onion rings weren't even flavorful. The counter person was super friendly so service was good but the table we sat at the second one we tried was not wiped down and it wasn't busy. Saturday night, didn't want to cook. Asked my husband what he would like and he said he was craving a burger. I had an Uber eats coupon so we decided to give Burger Monger a try. My husband ordered the cheesy monger melt and the monger dog. He really enjoyed the monger melt. It was a generous portion and he said it tasted great. As far as the monger dog goes he did not like it much. The bread was soggy and the bacon was not cooked well. I had the craft your own impossible burger. I really like that the menu offers plant-based options. Keep in mind the plant based burgers do cost a bit more than the beef ones. I enjoyed the burger although the patty was a lot bigger than the bun. It would have been nice to have a bun that actually fit the size of the patty. You'll see by my photo. We also ordered the sweet potato fries and regular fries, which were pretty good. The fries are the thinner type of fries. A bit soggy but not bad. The sweet potato fries were much crispier and I preferred those over the regular ones. Would I try burger monger again? Probably, if I have a coupon. Not something I would pay full price for. There are other competitors that offer a great burger too but at a lower price. Burger Monger seems to be a hyped up burger joint and that's fine. However, the menu could use a bit more improvement to set them apart from the rest. read more

I like Burger Monger's format of not quite fast food, not quite full service restaurant. You order at the counter and take a seat where your food is delivered. The burger are 1/3 lb which I find easier to eat in one sitting. Their burger toppings and options are top notch. The fries are thin and crispy. They do offer chicken and non-meat alternatives which we did not try. By far my favorite menu item was the caramel shake. It was very sweet so I did take half home. I finished it the next day. We will be back when in the area and in need of a semi-fast good burger. read more

The employee warmly welcomed us, made some suggestions when I was undecided, and customized my burger to my exact specifications. I was so stressed, I could barely function. I would only come here if you would like to have a mediocre burger. I'm not really sure why this place has such good ratings because it's really not great. We ordered 6 burgers and sides. They left so much to be desired from the meal. Service was just okay, we came in at around 8pm after a track meet down the street and the workers looked annoyed we were coming in. After we ordered we received our food pretty quickly except one item I was missing for the kids meal.
