I went to this KFC today and this will be my last time. I ordered an all white meat, 8 piece meal. I ordered 4 breasts and 4 wings. Before I left with my order, I reconfirmed with the KFC manager who packed my meal that I had four breasts and four wings. She verbalized that is what she packed for me. After I returned home, I found she had lied to my face. She had decided to give me only 3 breasts and 1 thigh when I had paid for four breasts. In my opinion, this is STEALING! This place is MUCH better after the renovations. It went from a nasty old, gross chicken/taco joint to a clean place that's actually conducive to eating. Definite props for the much improved interiors, but the service remains sketchy. Things move quickly only when there's nobody else around. Otherwise, things grind to a halt, especially during lunchtime when it's obvious their limited staffing shows how ill-equipped they are to handle high volume lunch traffic. A single worker (manager?) was standing in the back watching the whole entire thing blowing ballons up (for what?) -- why not get behing the counter while it is busy and lend a hand. A one star rating is too high for this establishment. This KFC also includes a Taco Bell which doesn't help the fact this place is so bad. The food is what you would expect since it is a franchise with all your Taco Bell and KFC favorites. What you wouldn't expect is how unsanitary this place is. I would go as far to sat that this is the dirtiest restaurant in all of Fort Lee. During one visit, we saw the roof was leaking right in front of the soda dispenser! Two words can describe this, annoying and gross! Gave the place a second chance and as we sat down to eat, I saw a small bug crawling on my friend's hard taco wrapper. Fortunately he finished his meal but who knows if one of those little buggers slipped by in to his taco. The staff is hit or miss. I personally believe that they realize what a dump this place has become and wonder why people would eat here. Dining area was recently renovated and is largely clean. The soda fountain/napkin/sauce areas and the visible kitchen are dirty/messy. Food is inconsistent, both in quality and quantity. Cole slaw, one of their staples, should not vary so much. Last cashier I had was nice but she was the exception. The manager takes a backseat and remains quiet and invisible as the younger, inexperienced staff must shoulder the load. Menu is too large and confusing, especially pricing. I wish I could simply build my meal package (chicken, side,etc) on my own than navigate the unnecessarily complex combo offerings. Cashier will not help you figure out price of individual items because that requires entering in the register and canceling the entry. The cashier claims he is docked for such cancelled entries during the ordering process so I need to order it if he enters something.
