The signature Yangnyeom Chicken is outstanding, made with a unique blend of 20 fresh ingredients that give it a perfect balance of sweet and savory. I also love that Pelicana focuses on healthier options since 2012, they've reduced sodium by 20% and use deep-sea salt, making it one of the lower-sodium choices among major brands. You can't go wrong with any of the chicken you choose from here and I actually love the apps as well like the cheese ball. It's a fun atmosphere to bring friends or a late night snack and the service was great too.

Loved their creamy and saucy fried chicken--it would have gone well with rice too! I got their classic Korean bbq chicken (half) and it was a LOT. Definitely happy to report that I took some home too and they stayed just as good the next day! Came here on a weekend night and it wasn't too crowded at all. The server was nice and fun K-pop songs--both new and old--were playing. Definitely a good spot for college students or people who love K-Pop and want a good filling meal! Good banchan too!

Seating: there are a couple tables for indoor seating. It looked busy for a Thursday night around 9pm but no one was waiting for a seat. I did not see outdoor seating at this location. Service: We ordered the food around 8pm at night and it was ready after 30 minutes for pick up! The food was still hot and fresh when we received it! Food: We got two types of wings. The crispy and original wings. They were both delicious. I love the honey garlic and their sweet and spicy sauce. For the sauces you can ask for them to put it on the side or toss your wings in the sauce! You will have to find street parking.

Perfect late night snack! Pelicana is a popular Korean fried chicken brand in Korea which didn't make its way down to Virginia..yet. Greeted by the owner of the restaurant as we entered and was very welcoming and offered us water as we waited for our take out order. Loved the vibe of the restaurant with plenty of seating areas. We ordered the half and half fried chicken (original and spicy level 2) which was amazing and great ratio of chicken and batter. Surprisingly, the chicken gizzard was on another level! It was perfectly fried with good share of garlic and jalapeño. It was so good that we were tempted to go back the next day to pick it up. Highly recommend the chicken gizzard!!!

It's possible that my expectations were set a bit too high, which might have influenced my overall experience. My wife and I ordered the Beef Bulgogi Taco and Crispy Wings with honey garlic sauce, and our opinions were mixed. The beef bulgogi tacos were absolutely amazing (5 stars), but we were expecting the chicken to meet higher standards. Unfortunately, it was a bit greasy, which I can tolerate, but it lacked the desired level of crispiness (that is where the trade off is lost). I really enjoyed the tacos, and the salad was extremely fresh (5 stars). The beer was good too. However, it was the chicken that fell short of my expectations. The service was good, although there may have been a slight language barrier as they initially forgot our honey garlic sauce, leading us to experiment with different sauces before finally inquiring about it. The chicken tasted significantly better with the sauce... As for the atmosphere, it was decent, but I wouldn't feel comfortable bringing my 1.5-year-old daughter, let alone my wife. The place seemed to be dominated by older patrons enjoying soju at 7 PM. We were initially seated squeezed between two tables even though there were plenty of other empty tables, so we had to request a move to escape the loud banter from the soju-drinking crowd. Overall, I really loved the tacos, and I've tried some of their other items for takeout before, which were fantastic. However, my dine-in experience fell a bit short, so I can only give it 3 stars, for now. I'm looking forward to giving it another try because maybe we just happened to visit on an off day. Until next time!

Stopped by for a chicken sandwich with soju and mozzarella sticks. The food was so fresh, tasty and huge portions! I usually order takeout, so this was the first time trying this location in New Jersey! they personalize the chicken sandwiches different by adding American cheese and pickles and onions. I've noticed that each pelicana location seems to do their own version of the UGLY fried chicken sandwich. Other than that, the ambiance was dope with K-pop music playing and everyone drinking! The service was attentive and kind. Overall great experience. I recommend trying their drinks!

Oh my! Crunchy, sweet and spicy fried chicken cooked to perfection! Can't wait to go back! Such a fun little date enjoying some Soju, beer and KFC. I recommend just ordering the fried chicken and not get the combos. The fries, cheese balls and bread are not necessary and nothing special. The salad I guess was nice to have to clean the palate and feel better about what you are eating lol They also have Korean music videos playing and the atmosphere is pretty fun.

I just ordered for pickup and my wings were great! This was my first time physically entering the restaurant. I was greeted promptly by three different people, after which I quickly paid and left. Super short interaction but the hospitality and quick service made my night! I ordered the 8-piece garlic (?) wings and the 8-piece spicy BBQ wings, with the sauces on the side. They tasted great. Will definitely be ordering Korean fried chicken from Pelicana more in the future.

    Soy Sauce Wings

Never disappointed with Pelicana's quality of chicken. It's always juicy and big. I got the soy garlic and it was pretty good. The chicken was well coated in the sauce. The downside was it didn't taste like it was double fried though. The corn cheese was pretty good. Nicely charred and covered in cheese. They didn't give us a spoon to scoop the corn. The service was slow and they weren't even busy. We had to ring them over several times.

Omg really I hate this place They always super slow always take forever And plus they don't even cook right over price & not worth it

Pretty decent chicken wings! Came here with a bunch of friends when some plans fell through and it was great night with good company. Got here around 7 and there were plenty of seating. The place looks dark and uninviting from the outside and the inside didn't differ from their outdoor appearance. We sat at a table close to the TV to watch the football game and the amount of lighting it almost nonexistent. The menu offers a variety of wings (different flavors, fried or grilled, and combos)- there were 5 of us so we ordered a LOT of different choices from soy garlic to just plain wings (pics to follow). Once you're ready to order there is a service button on the table that lets the servers know you're ready. I love places that have this because it's more convenient for both the patrons and staff to acknowledge us when we're ready. Our waiter didn't speak much English but he got our order right and kept the beer flowing like we were on unlimited refill. Overall I thought it was a good time. Different types of crowds and enough space to seat their patrons. If you're looking for a good bon chon chicken place, take out is also available which seems to be another popular choice among those living in the area. The only thing is the place is on the corner of a pretty busy street and there's no parking except for street parking, so good luck finding something close to the restaurant.

What is the difference between crispy & original .....? I am considering ordering the boneless chicken, and it does not give much description regarding what Crispy boneless vs. Original boneless chicken is.

Dear valued customer, The Original is slightly crispy and tender, delicately battered and well…

Do they serve teokkbokki? I see "Rice Bbokkies" on their menu and I am not sure what it means. Thanks in advance!

Dear valued customer, It is the same thing. 😊

Do they use peanut oil for frying?

    No. Says vegetable salad oil.

Came on a weekday night and there weren't many people in the store. - Deluxe Gomtang - I think the difference between the normal gomtang and the deluxe version is that they give a bit more meat and rice. I really liked the gomtang as the flavors were really rich especially when elevated by the pepper. - Seolleongtang - Clear and beautiful broth that went really well with salt. I felt like the meat was not as tender as I hoped but still made me think of my favorite Korean restaurant where I grew up. - Kong-guksu - I didn't know what to expect of this dish as I've never heard of it or tried it before but I didn't really like the dish. No matter how much salt/pepper I put in, there still didn't seem to be a lot of flavor. I ended up dumping the Korean Pickled Onion banchan in which helped elevate the flavor a lot. - Mini KimchiJeon - When I read this off the menu, I though the kimchi pancake would be extremely small but it turned out to be quite bit and very delicious. It was super crispy on the outside with soft insides stuffed with kimchi. I will definitely be back to this home-y restaurant!

If you're on the fence about coming, definitely come.

This time around, it's a stronger 5 out of 5 because of our waiter was amazing. Ugh, I can't remember his name. He was on top of everything and making sure our food was grilled in a timely manner. He was quick to follow up with orders/requests that didn't come through when the kitchen didn't bring them out. Usually my gripe or disclaimer I give to people is that Wooga is great at everything except wrapping up things on the end. In the past, whenever I went, it would take forever (!!!!!) to get our check and pay. It was so frustrating but this time around, it was a bit faster. It's a win-win situation because we get to pay and leave and the restaurant has another table for customers. Though on the pricier side, Wooga does check off all the boxes of: -amazing meat quality -amazing & attentive service -they don't skimp on banchans (side dishes that I heard other restaurants are starting to limit) -several meat combo options -best Korean steamed egg in the North Jersey area We tried the thinly sliced oxtails, which were really good but pretty pricey for $38cash/$39.90card for 11oz of it. There are some things that are inconvenient (long waits, very small parking lot) but it's easy to overlook them once you have a meal at Wooga. Things to know before you go: -Their menu is updated on their website if you want to check that out before you go. -The earlier you go, the better your chance of being seated quickly. Weekends are definitely a longer wait, so plan ahead. -Their parking lot is small so it fills up super quickly, so you'll have to park across the street and play Frogger (maybe you might be too young to know this reference?) to cross the 4 lanes of Palisade Ave. -When you arrive, make sure to check in with the host/hostess so that you could get a pager to know when your table is ready. Your turn can come pretty fast sometimes depending on the timing.

We decided on this place because rating was pretty good and was open late. It's located in a plaza with Korean market, liquor store, cafe and such. Large parking area available in the plaza. Inside is small but clean and gives off traditional Korean restaurant vibe with of course Korean music. There were quite few Korean customers as well as staffs so i knew we were in the right place. They specialize in Korean beef soup. We ordered rice cake and dumplings and special beef rib soup. The fish came with purple rice and various kimchi and pickled veggies side dishes. They also serve korean hot tea along side the dishes. My special beef rib soup was very light and clear but full of beef flavor. Little touch with salt and pepper with pickled veggies and rice paired with very well. The meats were very tender and flavorful as well. Portion is quite large and i was not able to finish my bowl although i did help with another bowl of rice from my partner. My partner got the rice cake and dumplings beef soup. This one was a but lighter and needed more salt flavoring but also good. She liked her's better as she doesn't like heavier and fattier meat/broth. Salt and peppers are provided to adjust your seasoning as needed. Even though they could not finish the dishes i throughly enjoyed the food. What i like about Korean dishes is that even some are heavy and fatty they include lots of vegetables and healthy ingredients which makes it feel like you had a healthy meal and lots of nutrients despite eating out.
