My only two complaints which are minor, but make a big difference are that they absolutely need to offer ice with their sodas. Having an ice cold soda with this meal is essential, and while their sodas are mildly refrigerated it does not do the trick of providing their customers with that ice cold soda that this type of meal requires. Also they should offer French fries that are not so thick.....if they did a thinner shoestring fry it would really elevate this to a 5 star meal. For now it's a 3.5 to 4 for me. Soy garlic is my flavor of choice. I am a fan of the "BBQ Chicken" chain spots! Unfortunately, this one under delivered for me. To start, they do have a nice menu. It's got some good options and selections, but it didn't have the fresh chopped garlic topping wings that another BBQ Chicken in the town next over carries. So there are some minor differences in the menus, and not that it was awful. The taste just didn't do it for me. Even the final cooked product was just "OK". Also, I placed an order for the Galbi chicken tenders which were very tasty, but I did not know they used dark meat chicken. The difference between white and dark is that you get less of a rubber effect when eating white meat, and white meat tends to be more meatier. I drove by BBQ Chicken over the weekend and decided to satisfy my cravings for Korean fried chicken with yet another Korean fried chicken shop. The store has converted to Takeout only due to COVID-19. After placing the order for some Secret Spicy wings, I had to wait 15 minutes for them to cook it, which is a good sign that it is fresh, and not sitting under a heat lamp. Food: after taking a few bites, I found that the wings maintained their crunchiness, even though they were completely coated in sauce. The closest comparison I can think of in terms of taste would be General Yao's chicken. It's really disappointing to see that a business would treat a loyal customer with such disrespect in a situation that was clearly their fault. My family and I have been ordering from here for 5+ years and honestly had no problems before. I called for pick up and got there around 25 minutes later and made sure to check in to let them know that I was waiting. Another 15 minutes go by, and they asked me what my order was... I tell them and pay for it and they make me wait another 20 minutes for only ONE of the three things I had paid for. Eventually they gave me the bag and when I got home, they only gave me two things. So I call and tell them that it was not in the bag and I ask to go pick it up. AGAIN. The lady proceeds to tell me that they put EVERYTHING and it should be there but how big can a bag of chicken really be. She told me that she could make it by the time I was there. I gave them another 10 minutes so I didn't have to wait again. I go and pick it up and it seemed as if they were sick of me waiting for something I paid for. When I get a call from the manager, she tells me that someone said it was ok and that there would be some type of reimbursement. She said she spoke to someone who knew me which was just not the case. The manager did not seem to understand that it was me who waited an hour and a half (four times in and out of the store) AND my money paying for their services. She completely ignored my concerns and was so condescending on the call. With all that said, I honestly don't think I can ever go again if this is how you treat customers. Compare to Manhattan store behind Empire State, this store is way small and it does not have display heated food storage to show the actual chicken boxes and differences with all different spicy levels, so I just guessed if the one I chose is one I think it is, and I made mistake gotten too spicy one. I couldn't eat it up. I think they can get the food rack just like the one in Manhattan. Convenient and affordable place for a meal! There's a ton of different chicken flavors to pick from as well as Korean side dishes. My favorite is the honey garlic boneless chicken. The first time I had it, it was super crunchy and crisp on the outside and tender and juicy once you bite into the chicken. The second time the chicken was not fried as well and ended up being soggier than the first time. I still enjoyed my meal a lot, though. The chicken also comes with pickled radishes, which are by far my favorite dish from this place. Every bite is crunchy and refreshing with the sweet and sour taste leaving you wanting more. I was just disappointed they didn't give me any pickled radishes the second time I ordered. Be sure to double check and make sure you have them with your order! The radishes are a must have as a balance to the greasiness and richness of the chicken. I highly recommend the waffle fries. Unlike typical fries, these are extra crispy and seasoned with white pepper salt which adds an extra kick. Definitely one of the best waffles fries I've had in a while. Service is good! Not too salty, very crispy on the outside and meat was very juicy. It was slightly sweeter than I am used to but it was tolerable. Onion rings were slightly overly crispy and large. Duk bokkie was sort of bland and did not have much taste but the rice cake it self was very soft and chewy. Delivery.. they have a $25 delivery minimum. Price.. total came to around $24 and change. I ordered the 3 items to meet the delivery min. $25 was not too bad considering I ordered 3 items but, not sure if I'll order misc items again. I was told by the guy answering the phone that the delivery guy was already out on delivery, at 1:22pm. However, till 1:50pm I still have not received the food (my meeting was happening in 20 mins..). It was literally a 10 min drive from the restaurant to where I live. After a few more back and forth phone calls and conversations with the restaurant, they told me this: "there was some accident with the delivery guy, and sorry but the delivery guy should be there in 7 mins". Initially I was depressed that there was "some accident", but the restaurant told me that it was not car accident, it was more of an incident delaying the delivery. Fine. I was already sad and pissed, but the restaurant did not disclose anything other than that. The restaurant was rude enough to repeatedly saying that "they could do nothing here", "I am sorry but what else do you want?". I was explaining that I've been waiting for almost 90 mins, etc. but the restaurant guy was just rude and had bad attitude. Fine. Till 2:15pm when my meeting started, the food was still somewhere out there. The food was not delivered until 2:28pm, and guess what, my interview with the candidate was then interrupted by the delivery guy, ringing my doorbell loud. In my opinion (and I know I differ with a lot of people) is that a sauce should be a compliment to the food not the other way around.
