Apps are the most useless things in the food industry, sure occasionally you get a deal, but most times not. We used the app to place a dinner order, they told us 10 minutes, do we got to the drive thru on time, I was told that they were waiting on the chicken and that I HAD to come inside, so reluctantly did, if it wasn't so hard to get a credit in a app I would have canceled it, but I went inside and waited 17 minutes before I was given my food, so appropriately 30 mins spent on a 10 minute order. So I get the food home and the chicken was hot, but everything else was cold. And it would have been nice to get an apology but we didn't. I quit going to KFC years ago when their prices shot up , but we have been their 2 times in the last month, I guess it will be years before we come back, for their price it's just not worth the hassle and frustration. read more

I had a very unsatisfactory, expensive visit to this drive through last night. I was, I believe, overcharged, items were missing, Pepsi was warm with no ice ( I believe this was a problem before but there was no sign posted to warn customers) and over all, the service was less than helpful. I did not receive a receipt-I thought it would be in the bag. I have been trying to reach the store by phone since yesterday. Phone number rings constant busy and there is no option to leave a message. The phone number for the store is 717-566-1900 according to multiple sites on the internet but I cannot get through to discuss. Would not recommend. Ordered 2 fried chicken family meals and 2 larger size nuggets for a party. It is not the KFC flavor profile of days past when ordering from this location a number of years back. The chicken was exceedingly dry, the biscuits were crunchy and the way the fries are packaged causes them to become very soggy. Apparently this franchise owner doesn't abide by KFC's rules and regs. I'm a fan of KFC and we don't have one in my hometown so I choose to use this Hershey location because I was hungry for KFC. I ordered the $20 family deal it's been advertised on TV for the last three months and the girl told me that was $24.95. is that OK ? I stated no that was not OK that I wanted to $20 deal has been advertised on TV. She reluctantly dropped it down to $20 and told me I got one side with it which would've amounted to an eight piece chicken with one side. Again I told her no that was not OK that it's advertised with two large mashed potatoes coleslaw and four . They did not argue with me and drop the price to $20 however there were no butter for the biscuits no offering of plates or silverware as we were in a motel and just downright rude. Stop! Turn around, and run away as fast as possible. This has got to be the worst dining experience I've ever encountered. Yes, I realize its fast food, but this was beyond bad. The restaurant is located just off one of the egress roads as you leave Hershey Park. Convenient access to the highways and located in a shopping center with a couple of other restaurants (I think McD's, Ihop and a chinese eatery). Perfectly located for hungry families looking to get fed at a reasonable price and get on the road with little delay. Unfortunately it was anything but. Walking in, the restaurant was nearly empty (not a good sign), no one waiting in line. Walked right to the counter and began placing the order for my family who were waiting in the car. I stood there for quite some time watching 3 or 4 employees meandering around doing little other than overtly chewing on dinner (yours or mine?) and engaged in chit chat with each other. Finally a female employee comes to the register and says nothing but just looks at me as though I'm inconveniencing her. I ask her if she's able to take my order which she responded with blank stare. Unfortunately I had six children (not all mine) and two adults to order for...this apparently overwhelmed the staff as I was then informed by the manager that there was no dark meat available and wouldn't be available for another 20 minutes. Which actually turned out to be 30 minutes. As I was waiting, more customers were arriving. Turns out they were drive through customers who got tired of waiting behind one car which couldn't reach anyone inside to place an order. Granted, its fast food, but it honestly had to be the worst thing I had ever tasted in my life. I'm not big on fast food to begin with, but this was wretched. This is a small kfc,in a big area with a lot of traffic,as Hershey park is down the road and a number of hotels. Compared to other kfc's in the area it is run well,the staff has always been very polite, my order for one or a dozen people is correct. Ordered inside. We were only ones inside the building. There were people at drive thru though. I ordered 4 $5 bowls. 20 minutes later I asked if my order was soon ready. They said they forgot to make it. Since we were going to a show in Hershey I asked for my money back because we had no more time to wait. Well, I ate the bone. Yes, at first it hurt, but I realized it's all part of the KFC hustle. Then I found a deep fried hair in my chicken breast. Not the best. Let's review our experience. We first called to find out if we had to make reservations for our party. Since we were traveling squad deep, we didn't know if they could accommodate our large party. Upon arrival, the parking lot was full. We were worried that we wouldn't be able to get a seat. Thankfully we found a place. We admired the table center pieces but were disappointed when we arrived to the soda fountain and there was no dr. Pepper. A member of our group gasped and became extremely upset. That was a low point. The staff was friendly, but their application of salt to the food was rather excessive. We just returned home from the hospital and one of our party's members has dangerously high sodium levels. Whoops. Another one of the members of our party had a long skirt that resembled a picnic blanket. An unknowing patron sat on her thinking she was a blanket. The worse customer service I've ever received in my life! The guy working the drive through window had a complete meltdown on me - told me that they do not have a $3.49 two piece meal when I'd just ordered one two days ago. He kept insisting I meant a combo #1 or #2 and when I told I'd just drive up to show him my receipt from from the couple days past he flipped out and told me that he knew his job and that I didn't need to show him anything. I drove up and anyway and showed him the receipt which only enraged him further. Instead of just saying he was sorry, that perhaps he wasn't aware of that particular option, he offered no apology at all. Told me he'd never apologize to me. Was indignant. The asst manager said nothing. No apology from him either but he did key in my order. The drive through guy kept being an ass so I asked for a refund. I've never seen anything like it. This place is horrible! Went there three years ago at 8 pm and tried to order chicken...we were told they had none. Moving forward to 6 months ago (give or take) to give another chance and ordered the Family Meal Deal for $20. Good value. Didn't love it, but the value was there. We went again last week and ordered the same meal and they said this owner does not honor that deal, nor does he have to! Huh??!!! My husband was the one who went in...came out with 2 chicken breasts, 1 thigh, 2 drums sticks and 3 wings (it's suppose to be 2 of each), rolls, potato wedges and gravy and NO cole claw (not part of the deal any more so he was told...even the gravy was $5 extra)....the bill? $28 plus change. Insane! NEVER again! Do not give this KFC your business. Plus the chicken is not crispy anymore...just a soggy mess. Wish I could give it no stars. Go to Karn's Foods in Hershey or even Giant for good crispy chicken...more expensive but at least it's tasty. read more
