I have ordered from Silver Sea before, and the food is usually decent (not great, but decent); however, this time, it was just awful. They should not have served it. This food made my stay in Hershey even better when things on our first day weren't looking so great. My daughter wanted Chinese and I looked to Yelp for some advice on where to order and Yelp did not steer me wrong once again. We ordered some combination platters, I got the sesame chicken while my daughter got roast pork lo mien, we ordered crab rangoon and got wonton and chicken noodle soup. The food arrived in a timely fashion, was piping hot and tasted so fresh. The crab rangoon was so tasty!! Prob one of the best I've had. The sesame chicken had some nice pieces of chicken and the rice tasted so flavorful. My daughter was loving her meal and she gave me a thumbs up when I asked her how it tasted. I would have rated it 5 stars if there were some drink options to order- but I ordered through Yelp and they didn't have any, otherwise this place was definitely worth 5 stars. read more

GREAT place to stop for lunch because their lunch specials are so cheap!! We spent $13 for two people, truly great value. My only qualms are that I ordered shrimp chow mein and got a different entree instead, possibly shrimp with mixed vegetables. There were no noodles in my dish. The pork "fried rice" is also just rice with soy sauce and a smattering of tiny pork chunks. The food was still good though and I truly can't be too mad when it's so cheap. The service was poor, and the ambiance was very rundown. The food was incredibly bland. the fried rice we had to add all of our sauce packets and somehow it still was bland. The pork rolls were just fried dough and the chicken on a stick was so bland I had to put soy sauce on them to make it more enjoyable. I don't recommend. We ordered from here on 7/5/24 We got a order of sesame chicken with fried rice and a order of the General tso chicken and fried rice both of those were horrible the chicken was like it had sat around all week the sauce was soaked in and kinda dried up wasnt even any kind of extra sauce to help with the fried rice that was mostly hard. The only good thing was the sweet and sour chicken and the shrimp lo main. We will no longer be ordering from them. To pay almost 60. Dollars and most of it went in the trash. read more

Delicious!! We've ordered from here multiple times and have tried many different dishes. Food arrives quickly, always hot, well packaged. Everything has been great so far. Pepper Beef is my fave, good quality meat and huge chunks of fresh bell peppers. No soggy veggies or food drowned in sauce, you can tell everything is fresh and good quality. Silver sea is an unexpected gem.. right in the heart of Hummelstown square, this Chinese restaurant looks like any other family-owned Chinese take out counter with a few tables inside. One would expect the effort-less food that many Chinese restaurants have devolved into. Surprisingly not though. The food portions are very generous, the flavors are on point, dare I say better than some in Chinatowns in SFO, NYC, Toronto, or even Vancouver. I had the Singapore mei fun, a regular dish I've familiarized myself with from Singapore to China to Toronto to SFO, and silver sea's version is one of the better ones I've had. I ordered online and picked up while at Hershey Lodge. It was a hit. We got the bbq boneless ribs, shrimp fried rice and noodles.

The sesame chicken was dry and tasted like it was made the day before. The chicken with mixed vegetables tasted horrible. The Crab Rangoon was definitely from the day before & very dry. None of the kitchen staff was wearing masks. We ended up discarding most of it. I definitely don't recommend this chinese restaurant. The food made us sick. read more

After a full, cold day at Hersheypark, my family and I wanted to pick up something quickly before we made a 2-hour journey back home. After being put on extended hold when I called 2 other Chinese restaurants, Silver Sea answered the call (pun intended). I usually can tell how good a Chinese restaurant is by trying hot and sour soup, which was excellent. It seemed authentic. This place is great! Their food is made superfast, and is fresh. You can order online and just pick it up, call in so you can pick it up, or they also have an indoor seating area. No frills, but fast and friendly service at a great price! Their delivery service is a bit sketchy. Infused American Chinese food. I've ordered the orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and beef lo mein (not in the same order but throughout time hahaha). The food has always been hot and tasty. The orange chicken has a hint of orange which is invigorating. Lo mein is flavorful however, I shall say a bit too greasy. The beef didn't appear to be mystery so thumbs up for it. This is by far the BEST chinese food in the Harrisburg area. We go there quite frequently and cannot stop!! For those that say parking is difficult, if you go right past it and turn right there is a public parking lot. So thats really not a problem at all. Just picked up Singapore mei fun noddles, eggplant in garlic sauce and shezhuan chicken with veggie fried rice. All I can say is THANK YOU food god for putting the greatest Chinese restaurant (outside of NYC/Philly/DC) in Central PA. I have tried countless different places in Palmyra, Hershey, and Harrisburg and this is by far best of of them. When I called for take out, the lady was so nice and was patient as I changed my mind because I couldn't decide what I wanted. Food was ready when I got there early and they didn't mind packing some hot oil for me. I just finished eating and I am in food heaven right now and just very happy to have found this place. You won't be disappointed, go here! The food was very flavorful. We asked for extra spicy and they actually listened and it was the first time we didn't have to put extra hot sauce/hot oil on the food. We ordered out the same dishes Tuesday night 3/27 and the chicken tasted like it was cooked, then frozen to the point of being freeze dried and reheated. It was dry as jerky. NASTY! Want good Asian food? This is the place if you are at Hersheypark and have a car. If you have a car, but are too lazy to park in a public lot less than 2 blocks down the road from this little gem and take a short walk on a lovely street in a friendly, clean town? Skip it and go to the buffet in Hershey. You won't have to walk more than a few yards, I promise. Sure, the food won't be great, but hey - parking! Still with me? Good. I grew up in Seattle. I currently live in the suburbs of DC. I've had great Asian food, horrible Asian food, and mediocre Asian food. This was actually pretty good. For a small, quaint, friendly town in Pennsylvania? A surprising find. I never expect much from Asian places that aren't near a coast or near a large urban area, but I was pleasantly surprised. The soup was good (egg drop - and if the egg drop is good it's a lead pipe cinch the hot and sour is probably awesome), the appetizers were good (beef on a stick, chicken wings) and the entrees (roast pork with snow peas, beef with snow peas, veggie lo mein) were also excellent. Portions are huge. Unless you are carb-loading for a marathon or this is your ONLY meal of the day, you will have leftovers. Staff is cool and provides take out containers. There is plenty of seating. I suspect much of their business is take-out, but it's clean and there is plenty of seating. Tea was hot and free*, and staff is very attentive. If you have kids that speak ANY Mandarin or Cantonese? The staff will roll out the red carpet and teach them a new phrase or three. The friendliness of staff definitely added to the experience. This is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. The food is fresh and flavorful, with generous portions and perfectly cooked vegetables that are still a bit crisp. The shrimp in the shrimp and snow peas were large, and there were quite a few. The beef and mixed vegetables had a nice variety of veggies rather than mostly broccoli like at other places. Their lo mein is so good! I also like their cashew chicken, wonton soup, and General Tso's chicken. Take-out is fast and service is friendly.
